A Candida diet does not cure Candida, it only suppresses it so that anti-fungals can work. I was on a Candida diet for many years when taking nilstat.
My diet is not a Candida diet, I have plenty of fruit, milk and other things typically not associated with a Candida diet. I can also eat normally, I just choose not to, because I've had problems that go far beyond Candida and although I look ok now, I'm still healing and it takes time. I don't take supplements or anything to deal with the Candida, so I cured more than anyone I know here on CZ. Having said that, if I were to start eating microwaved, processed food, vegetable oils found in most foods, I'm sure I'd revert back in a year or less. But I don't know and I'm not going to test it.
I believe that Candida, while it's a problem in itself, is not the main problem. Candida is a garbage collector, it's actually there to help you, and if there is too much garbage in your intestines, it gets out of control. Where is the garbage coming from? That's the problem.
If you've read a book that you think has the permanent answer, why are you asking if it's forever? Put it to the test imo.
>>They state that candida come back if you don't give the protocol the right time to eliminate it and if you have a condition that favor it.
Haha, maybe. It depends why you got it in the first place. If you got it through overdosing on antibiotics, it should be possible to fix it permanently. If you got it through genetics or because of other health conditions, it's a little more complicated. I find that doctors, including naturopaths, don't talk or like to admit their failures. (And they often don't hear about them either because people just never come back). Very few health practioners follow up with clients 6 months, 1 year, 5 years in the future, to call anything permanent.
Anyway, it sounds like you have a good book with a protocol you believe in. That's all you need. So try it and tell us if it worked for you 3 months down the road, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, etc... If it works it could help others.
