I can tell you I had a NDE, which I have, and say that I saw the lady who came to save me getting out of her car, which I did, and all while I was quite dead... My soul left my body and went to the light... but it is probably impossible for one to convince someone whose mind is made up. For me, my own personal experience, in minute detail, is in front of me always... and though it has much religious symbolism, I believe there are an infinite less one ways of experiencing the other side. Some may even choose a hell experience but for most of us, we will choose to go to the light or at least experience divine love of some sort and return.
Some who have NDE's meet their deity while others experience a type of oneness with everything. I met a being I called 'God' but it did not seem to fit very well... There is a lot of baggage attached to that name that can not be attached to the being of light I met... and still there are some who believe God is love, me among them, and we can separate the religious God from the one most people pray to when they want to be comforted. In my NDE, "The Light" asked me if I had learned enough about love?" I thought she was talking about human love and I was booted out of heaven and went back to my body. Human love fails though... but whatever name you want to give 'the light,' I just know it never fails and never stops loving me...and not only me but every soul or spirit with the least little bit of love in them... Love is 'The Light's" child.
Better evidence of proof for me of an afterlife is that blind from birth near death experiencers see with vision in their NDE's. How do the skeptics answer the blind experiencers who explain things they see in NDE's that are impossible to describe without sight? The truth for me is that we are 'spirits having a physical experience' and this physical world is just a tiny part of what is certainly more spirit than physical. I am not saying to run out and join the cults of religions but if you read something that says God is love in sacred texts or in Time Magazine, it might be coming from someone who has had a spiritually trans-formative or near death experience and could be 'true' for them... and if you can not believe that I saw the lady get out of her car, while I was out of sight in a cornfield, you probably never made it this far in my explanation without thinking I am full of it... but it is okay one way or the other... I believe those who do not believe in an after-life wanted to experience life in a body without believing in an afterlife for their learning... and I chose to learn about God's love.... to each their own learning....
Some would argue that its the brain firing off before it dies and that nde's are a phenomenon of a brain dying.
However, there are DE's that go far beyond near death experience into the realm of death experience. This is where someone has been dead for a an hour or more and then miraculously comes back to life.
Mellon Thomas is such an account.
I find it much easier for people to try and explain away things that there is no scientific measurement of...YET!
Skeptics? Perhaps simply those of us who want the experience first-hand as opposed to accepting another individual's perspective - which I totally respect.
Religions are ALL coming from an outside-ourselves perspective of Source. This doesn't fit me anymore and has left me a bit bereft.
I used to find HUGE comfort in religion & the teachings of various cults...even those who were considered 'great thinkers'. Now EVERYTHING has shifted. Me, my perspectives and my journey.
I have loved reading your NDE commentaries and still do to this day, Rudy. Thank you for continuing to share yourself.
One thing I DO believe is that we are most decidedly spirit having a human experience. This gives me comfort and I love feeling comfort.
Our unique perspective is the only thing that makes us distinctive from other souls on the other side... That is where we live...I like a broad tent filled with as much love as there is love...
Scepticism disappear once you have an NDE. Mine was quite amusing, actually, if you can use the word to describe dying. It sure was not amusing to my wife who happened to be near when I 'died'. The most amazing thing is that I was completely out of my body... close to it, but not in it! Add to it that my body was crouched on the floor with my wife looking at It! The focus was on my body not on me, I was completely invisible as she was bending over asking what had happened and if she needs to call an ambulance. But there I was standing right beside my body and my wife looking at all of that going on. BTW, this was the only way that I found to become invisible to my wife :)
The experience did not last very long and I was back into my body quite shortly, but I remember the sensation of a myriads of tiny needles everywhere in my body as it started to awaken to life.
During that short period of being 'out' I did not see God or any other creature nearby.
I was fascinated with the experience ever since and dedicated myself to learning about this phenomenon quite a bit. I was fortunate to come across a series of books that explained the questions I had and more.
The crust of what we have when body dies is that our soul-inner-being lives on to continue... now get ready! evolution! through reincarnation.
All living matter evolves endlessly going through planetary evolution first and next to evolving in cosmos. The cosmos is incredibly complicated and is made up of endless amount of energies. Our universe is made up of 7 basic energies. They form the 'ether' or the 'light' that's in many teachings. They also form all matter, living or minerals.
As we evolve we learn to understand how to interact with this world and we move on upon graduation to next levels endlessly.
But, do the souls ever die??? Yes, they may. Death of a soul is a result of the process that is a reverse of evolution. When a human leads life that destroys mind and soul, soul eventually either eventually dies. But before it dies it's given many chances to start over, however, the potential that's been destroyed in previous life is gone... So the being needs to work on restoring to the previous levels of consciousness / understanding that it had.
In other words, the way we live our lives determines how long we stay on earth and how far we go.
The problem is that once we get new bodies the memory of previous incarnations shuts down in most of the people. Blame education, environment, parents etc. that put us in conditions that make evolution harder.
There is absolutely vital information in the books that I will recommend. I think everyone interested need to read and evaluate for himself. http://www.levashov.info/English/books-eng.html
The person who wrote the books reached amazing heights in helping others and self-development.
