my diet is so much better, but my colon is still rebelling :( LBB did not work for me this morning, had to do an enema and still feel there is junk stuck. Last resort is juice fasting I guess.
Yes, getting the colon to work right is going to take time. See what my experience has been thru this on another post on this thread. The colon has been a real challenge for me for a long time.
I would use a small amount of chia seed and work up to find out what the biggest amount was that I could take and still not be constipated, rather than stop myself up with too much at first. That's the way we do with the LBB and the #1 formula--work UP to bowel tolerance. I think Schulze's formula #1 has a little more laxative effects than the LBB. I experiment slowly, too, with new things. The digestive system is healing, and we need to be gentle with it.
Tommorrow will be a better day. This is just an experiment. We learn as we go along.
thanks. Yes, very frustrating. Right now Im doing fruit and veggy smoothies. No additional fiber. Once I get that to come out, I will add fiber slowly. I did Dr Schultz IF#2 cleanse 6 years ago no problem. I suspect I have old "crap" breaking lose getting in the way that I just need to be patient and work it out :)
Have you tried flax seed for some fiber supplementation? It seems to work better than some other forms of fiber for me. I purchased a small coffee grinder and get golden flax seeds from Whole Foods. Just grind my own & that way I know it is fresh. Always wonder how long some of the flax seed meal has been on the shelf and it may be rancid. Plus, the flax seed is going to give you Omega 3's. You can add it to oatmeal, bake it in bread, but my favorite is to add it to smoothies. Don't even know it is in there.
Thanks. I have tried fresh ground flaxseed and it is definitley the one that my body seems to handle the best because it does not stop me up any worse, but it also does not make me go. But it's funny you recommeneded it because I stopped making it a year ago and have been thinking I need to start again :)
It worked for about a year. Then all the sudden it stopped working 2 years ago and never really worked since. I took up to 9 in one day. So I switched to making my own with aloe ferox and fennel and that seems to work for me.
