Hi, sorry if this comes out twice, thought I'd just posted this but it disappeared!
Just over a week ago, on the fourth time of begging, my Dr finally removed my Mirena. It really was painless thankfully. My period started, very heavily, two days later. It's probably a bit early to judge how many of my symptoms are fairing, hairloss, weight gain, stiffness of joints, but the change to my mood has been quite dramatic, already I feel happier, calmer and able to cope. I just wish for my husband and childrens sake I'd had this removed a lot earlier. There seems to be quite a sense of relief throughout the house!! I've been "slim-fast"ing for a week and not budged a pound which is dull, I'm only 39 my metabolism can't be that bad surely? Tahnk you to everyone on here for listening, it really is moving and helpful to read all these stories! x
I know what you mean about weight frustration. I'm 21 and I gained 50 lbs in 5 months. Which is how long I had mirena in 5 months... but I was exercising and dieting the whole time and kept gaining. I do know since i had it out for 2 days I have terrible diarehha sry for the spelling lol but its all water so I'm hoping its some of that water retention leaving. My hands are still swollen tho so crossing my fingers that goes away soon Good luck
