Yes, it also has many other health benefits. I've read hundreds of testimonials of DE and tons of people have found worms. I even read one where someone passed a 6in worm. I've read on this one forum where this lady had lessons? not sure what is exactly. she had 1 behind her ear and another 1 somewhere on her face , Its like a pimple but bigger i'm guessing. they showed up after taking DE and continued to grow then poped and little rice like things came out. It had to be worms. she was also seeing worms in the toilet. So I guess the Silicia in DE is bad for them and they tried running away. IDK. But I got DE this Wednesday and I'm taking it everyday 1Tsb every morning and Night for about 4 days then ima bump up to 1tbsp, then 2xtbsp a day.. DE is completely safe and has Tons of benefists. I sleep better, wake up full of energy, just feel better all over. If you haven't tried it, I suggest you do.
Be careful not to inhale the DE into the lungs. I would be surprised if it got rid of all parasites. It seems to me you need an arsenal of different kinds for different bugs. However, DE was the one & only thing of my ample arsenal that got rid of tapeworms.
it didn't have any effect for me. but it's cheap and there weren't any bad reactions. others report better results. it's worked great on my plants though...
It gets rid of parasites in the intestinal tract. A researcher told me that a little of the DE gets into the blood and that the DE has been known to get rid of heart worms (like dogs get, but sometimes people get also), but that it takes 6 months of faithfully taking enough DE to kill the heart worms. Since DE is roughly 85% silica, it must be the silica that is poisonous to parasites in addition to the DE simply slicing and dicing them inside of the intestinal track. The wolf sanctuary website says people need to take 2+ tablespoons of DE a day since the recommended amount of DE for a 100 lb dog is 2 Tablespoons, and most adult humans weight or than 100 lbs.
I had problems taking 2 tbsps per day. The first time I did it I felt it overly dehydrated me and it was very scary. I went down to 1 tbsp per day and that was fine for me. I follow up with a glass of water just to get it all down.
Make sure you're taking a probiotic sometime during the day if you decide to take DE, that way you have something to help build up protection in the lining of your stomach/intestines.
