Hi There, Is it ok to have 1 cup of organic decaf coffee per day?
A cup of decaf a day is not gonig to hurt anything. Decaffeination does not remove 100% of the caffeine, but enough that one cup is not an issue.
Coffee is high in tannic acid, which actually precipitates yeast like Candida killing it. But the tannins also precipitate other things such as alkaloids and glycosides from herbs or medications. So you should never take coffee or teas (green, black or oolong) with any herbs or medications as the active components can get bound up making them worthless to the body. Take any herbs or medications at least an hour away from the coffee.Tweet
Caffeine was NEVER the issue!
Actually caffeine is a major issue. Caffeine overstimulates the adrenal glands causing them to crash. This can lead to all sorts of problems including immune suppression and blood sugar issues.
But again there is not enough caffeine left in decaf to be much of an issue.
Coffee's just harsh on the stomach and that's the problem...
The only thing in coffee that is hard on the stomach is the tannic acid, which is also found in other sources such as tea; black, oolong or green. But the tannic acid is neutralized by many substances including milk, minerals in water and any alkaline substance.Tweet
Hv, theory's all great, but really do try making conclusions about how people w/ a disease will feel based on the observations by or of actual people w/ the actual disease...
Tannic acid is tannic acid regardless if the person has Candida overgrowth or not. And tannic acid is tannic acid regardless if it is from coffee or tea. It is not magically transformed just because someone has Candida or it is from another source other than coffee.
Coffee and tea have radically different effects. And caffeine really, really is NOT the issue.
It is not an issue since they were asking about decaf. If they were asking about regular old coffee then it would be a major issue since caffeine among other things crash the adrenals. And the adrenals regulate numerous things in the body including immune function, inflammation, energy, water balance, blood sugar levels, stress responses, hormones, etc.Tweet
