I had posted a long post re pinworms, but it was pre-mature. They were not completely gone. (post: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1641998#i)
So I have revised the process and just wanted to put it out there. Will post updates on results every few days.
Problem: Pinworm test was positive (see previous post).
I have diverticulosis (common problem) so there are nooks and crannies for eggs and worms to hide in the colon making the usual treatment of one vermox and a 2nd vermox 2 weeks later ineffective. I may also not have the perfectly healthy colon and immune system I had a 10 years ago so maybe that's part of why they persist.
Based on a lot of info from many people (thanks ICU) on this site and a couple of others this is what I am now trying:
Taking Vermox for 8 days the first week. Stopping for a week. Take vermox again for 7 days. Stop a week to rest liver. Take again for 7 days. While doing this I am taking Black Walnut
enemas (about 2 a day). Four days into the vermox I skipped the morning vermox, did a colon flush and resumed the Vermox that night.
1) Vermox: 2 100 mg tabs morning and night. My doctor gave me a prescription for a lot of tablets. Chewing the tabs well, taking with omega 3 oil capsules and some food, and some aloe to improve absorption and coverage through colon.
2) Black Walnut tincture enemas. The worms migrate down to the large colon where the Vermox is weaker and there are more nooks and crannies. My theory is that some worms leave the anus, get oxygen, and return and lay eggs inside the rectal area and it only takes one to do this every 6 weeks to keep the cycle going.
Anyhow: enemas – am using a Fleet enema bottle (buy Fleet enema at pharmacy). Empty contents. Put in 1 tablespoon black walnut tincture, contents of one capsule of clove powder (don’t use any clove oil – ouch), contents of one black walnut capsule, and lightly warm water (not hot). The cloves kill eggs but they are also a natural anti-spasmodic so it is easier to retain the enema. Use the instructions that come with the fleet enema for insertion, with a bit of cream at anus to ease insertion. For the first 4 days of the process while taking the Vermox I did this about 4 times a day or whenever I felt one. Put in the enema. Lie on towel on bathroom floor. Sometimes I can keep it for about 45 seconds before I have to go, sometimes up to 5 minutes. When I expel sometimes I can see a few worms, sometimes I can’t see any. But after I cannot feel any.
3) Colon cleanse: I just went to the pharmacy and got the pico-salax magnesium that you use for colonoscopy prep and took it with water with lemon juice in it. So 2 pouches, 5 quarts
of water over 6 hours. One hour after the first pouch I took Pin-x. Pin-x is the over the counter pinworm med. It paralyses the worms. I figure if they are paralysed it will be easier for the liquid to flush them out. While I did this I took several enemas over the day so that as they got flushed to the lower colon the enemas would get them before they crawled back up. During this cleanse I also drank one glass of water with 50 drops of black walnut tincture to kill stuff as it goes through.
At the end of the 6 hours, I took 2 grams of potassium. Epsom Salts
deplete potassium. I felt queasy from everything but I could see some dead worms in bowl. I showered and changed with each enema with fresh underwear.
At night I had a medium meal of whole-wheat pasta with some cheese and plain tomato sauce. Easy to digest and wouldn’t go through system too fast. I took my evening Vermox with it.
It is now day 5 of the process. I did feel something this morning but I know that the Vermox makes them exit slowly. But no stinging feelings. Things are improving.
Interesting thing: on day 3 of this I passed about 2 cups of mucus. Felt really, really sick suddenly and then passed this and suddenly felt much better than have in months. Don’t really know what that is about. On day 3 I passed a little bit of colon plaque (I think) – about 2 inch
by 1 inch black flat matter. When I did the Colon Cleanse
there was a little more mucus – maybe a teaspoon.
I am taking the following supplements in addition to the 400 mg of Vermox per day. 2 caps of MSM and curcumin morning and night. 6 caps of Aloe per day. 4 caps of Coenzyme 10 per day.
Hope this helps….
