I bought this book a couple of months back on your recommendation. Have read quite a lot of your writings as am currently struggling with a whole raft of addictions.
This nutritional approach is so different to anything else I've been fed for the last few decades I initially felt sceptical about it. But frankly, having been round the talking/will power methods of trying to escape addictive cycles for decades, I am ready to try anything.
Newly sober, and starting to follow the nutritional advice by upping my animal fats slightly, some supplementation and keeping well away from the processed foods and sugar. Candy is Dandy but Liquor is Quicker is so true, and I think many people who struggle with alcohol just shift straight into a deeper sugar addiction as soon as they give up the booze. That keeps the body chemistry the same, and just pumped and primed for that time when a glass is on offer and it feels impossible to say no. Early days for me, will report back!!
