I injured my elbow tendons and arm muscles from computer mouse work. Ive had massage, been to chiropractor...All helped. But comes back with computer use. Something I found is that in the sauna my pain is reduced 80-90 percent while in the sauna. But by the time I get dressed and ready to go out to my car, the pain comes back. Is there any explanation for this? I feel SO good in the sauna, it's the most releif I get, if only the pain would stay away.
Thanks
Katie
Then go to office supply store and buy ergonomic equipment for your mouse and keyboard. Make your chair and desk at the correct atonomical position for you. An occupational therapist can help. Get up and assume a different position every once in a while.
If the sauna helps, then why not?
We have both been around Curezone for quite a while now. I did a series of colon cleanses and liver flushes and am now on maintenance.
I get the same symptoms after hanging out by the computer for a long time. So, when that happens, I just grab my oil and grapefruit and epsom salts and apples and do a liver flush. Fixes me up like right now. I don't do much in the way of prep either as my colon is in pretty good shape now.
Also, I find that if I keep my mouse close to my body, I don't get the discomfort. My keyboard is on a tray under the desk so I can pull it out so that it almost touches me. I have the mouse right beside it.
Feels great while the heat is on. Lots of blood getting in and out of the area. As long as you don't move it you're fine.
Here's the problem. The ligaments that hold it together have already been sprained. Well, not really a sprain but they are indeed too loose to hold the bones together properly. That's why the pain.
Although heat promotes healing (blood flow in and out of the area) it also loosens the already too loose ligaments that hold the whole show together. Thats why it feels good for a while after the sauna.
But as soon as you start doing something the pain comes back. And it may be worse than before the sauna.
So before you get to doing anything else slap some cold on it to thighten the ligaments up that hold the joints together. One of those little plyable cold pack does the job quite nice.
You've already had your neck checked out so now all that is necessary slap the cold on after the sauna and change the ergonomics at your computer terminal. You should be just fine.
Heat first, cold second. Try it - then you'll get some permenent healing done.
Thank you for this link. I have another question. I have tried to end my showers cold, but I last 15 seconds because Im already freezing most of the time, and if I get out of the shower cold, I will be painfully cold all day, especially now that fall is here. Is it normal to be freezing when you get done with this therapy? Im afraid it will make me sick being cold when I finish.
