Is the aluminum content in DE enough to be detrimental to our health? I personally love the way I feel when I take it, but could I be doing any long lasting damage from the aluminum content? I've tried to look this up online but I haven't found one website clarifying this subject.
Does anyone else here take DE on a regular basis? Any side effects or problems noted?
I wonder if there is an aluminum free form of DE...hmmm.
Apparently, high silica is anti-aluminium (hence the studies showing the high silica content of beer is anti-alzheimers).
So enjoy your diatomaceous earth...
On an alternative note, I'm seeking a good source of silica to help my skin, teeth/bones etc., particularly because I've noticed stronger teeth with silica.
My DE arrived yesterday and I made some "DE water" with it, although I noticed when I drank the water that sometime after, I got a hypertensive feeling and then some stinging in the area of my heart until I went to sleep.
I know that silica is high in the aorta, so maybe the DE was already "busy doing repairs", but I'm not sure I want to play around too much. Previously when I ingested silica from nettles/oatstraw, I noticed pain in my hip area as if that bit was healing, then it went away.
I really don't know what to do - whether to try it again with more water and less DE. I'm giving it a break for today anyway and I may try tomorrow again.
I've just placed an order for some bamboo silica, which may benefit me instead.
I agree that silica is not to be missed on a daily basis - my dad certainly seems to endorse it with nightly beer drinking.
Frankly, I'm getting desperately sick of these "back to the drawing board" moments in my healing journey - nothing seems to work for me!

I know how you feel BBQ....that's how it is with the DE..I find something that I can tell a difference with and then am left wondering if I'm slowly poisoning myself instead! Ughhh...
I would wait a couple days and then take a small dosage of DE and see if that produces the same effect. And you could be right that the DE could be working on any cholesterol/blockage issue..just take it nice and slow.
I've seen where you can buy pure silica in capsule form, I may try that if I don't figure this DE thing out. I also like that the DE would get rid of intestinal parasites, if I have any.
Please keep us updated on your usage of DE...and on whatever else may help your AF.

Hulda Clark wrote that Liver Flushes will help with hypertension. I was able to bring down my bp from 150 to 120 or less doing LFs. Heart pain, Clark wrote, may be cause by Heartworms. Her parasite herbs (or Clarkia ) kills them.
Good info Hver. Thanks! I got to thinking that there is so much toxicity that we ingest unknowlingly every day, so the aluminum content probably is nothing compared to what we unknowlingly ingest. Plus, the properties of silica looks like it protects us from absorbing toxins, correct? Hmmm, very interesting.

Silica will bind aluminum and help remove lead from the body. Fibers though, which are another source of silica can bind with other toxins helping to expel them from the body.
I have not taken DE because I have read that it naturally contains many contaminants and pollutants. This website's article is informative.
