I promised myself I would never go on the net about morgellons again after I discovered I had it OCt 2006. I was so freaked out I barged into my doctors office, hyterical, of course he tried to prescribe me medications.
What I read scared me to death. After a lenghty talk with my practical mother I resigned myself to the fact there was nothing I could do, and never to read about this condition again and just try and live with it.
I had many terrible symptoms, lesions, pepper specks, glitter, fibers, hair, muscle twitching, gum problems, emotional problems, sleeping troubles, red and blue fibers, black fibers, white and clear fibers, hives, thrush, felt like bugs crawling on me, etc.
Now the weird part.....I also had major digestive problems, like IBS, and felt like my food wasn`t digesting....so I discovered (by pure fluke) a diet from the 1920`s called SCD diet, that was grain free, lactose free, and sugar free, in order to solve my digestive problems.
Guess what happened...um yeah...all my morgellons symptoms faded and went away, doing nothing else other than overhaul my diet. Also this diet is a whole foods diet that does not allow any proccessed foods.
So it has been a couple of years now, and I have wanted to post this somewhere so others can try it. There is a very similar diet called GAPS, and even more restricive is paleo or cave man diet.
The nice thing about SCD diet is it cures so many diseases. like celiac, cholitis, chrohns, ibs, skin prioblems, autism...look up you tube for videos.
Your weight will also normalize without dieting. I lost 100lbs, for underwight who are not absorbing their foods, will gain weight.
Although the diet is a 2 year commitment, you will see results in the first day, by day 3 you will be convinced, by the 3 week, you will feel `normal`` again.
What made me decide to post this, was an experience I had the other day. I was making a homemade pizza for my boyfriend a few days and was HORRIFIED when I actually looked at pizza dough. I bought it fresh from a local ilalian bakery.
What I saw was what used to come out of my skin. Black specs, little black fibers, white node things....this was from the yeast.
I haven`t had either brewers or bakers yeast for 4 years now, which MIGHT be part of the puzzle.
I tried searching this morningfor the first time to see if anone else has noticed this. I didn`t see anything on diet or the yeast connection.
If you try the diet and see results please post post post on as many forums as you can for others.
Just so you know the diet is designed to starve out parasites, bacteria, yeast, and fungus from their favorite foods and break the viscious cycle. WHatever morgellons is..because I really dont`want to speculate, the diet will starve it too.
A vey good cook book series is the every day grain free gourmet and grain free gourmet....these books are for foodies who don`t want to sacrifice gourmet food while altering their diet.
Look up scd legal and illegal foods, you will see as I did, that many of the illegal foods are what health food stores and practicioners advise you to do.
A canadian food scientist perfected the diet in the 1970`s, so you dont need to guess anything.
Out of the legal foods, you should check your heart rate to challenge certain foods to see if you have a hidden allergy, if your beats go up or down more than 8 beats per minute, do not eat that foods for a month or two and challenge again.
Your hidden food allergies will clear up as your gut heals.

Morgellons is associated with decreased immunity, a specific fungus, and specific bacterial infections which are thought to be secondary to Morgellons.
Yeast thrive on sugar, ferment it. There is a reason that you rid yourself using diet, there is a cause and affect relationship. I don't want to speculate on what that is but I am researching that diet. It seems that Morgellons may be anaerobic, just like yeast, so a diet that increases alkalinity will increase absorbable oxygen, strengthen immune system, decrease bood sugars, also will add chlorophyl to diet with again is a dye and highly absorbable, chelates toxic metals. Obviously there has to be a connection, Thanks for your posting, YOu have given me a project to work on now that Cancer is easily understood as anaerobic, I need something else to devote my work too.
Thanks for sharing that info on diet. I have had food sensitivities ( only mold test positive for me as an allergen ). Had Cfs before morgellons, found if I ate only fresh food nothing stored ( including bottled juices etc, maybe that is where the old product goes ) my gut healed. Decided it was the mold in stored foods. I do best with no grains and frozen legumes. if I do this I can digest my food normally. If not it seems to feed the parasites.
awesome stuff. I'm currently trying the same thing as you. I have candida which turned into cfs/crohns and all that fun stuff. On day 2 at the moment and I do feel noticeably better.
Hmmm....for some, Morgellons can not be totally corrected by restricted diets, although I do think they can help. I think if you get into a more advanced state diet is definitely not going to resolve this disease. Another good resource that also goes into details on how to test for food allergies and has loads of information about vitamins, minerals, herbs and food supplements is an old book called "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by James F. Balch, M.D. The SCD diet definitely follows a lot of the information in this book as well. Pretty funny it was published back in the 1930's.
I know that yeast is a huge player of this disease, beware of taking probiotics since I have found they seem to mutate into more organisms that invade your body. I was miserable when put on this and my health got worse. I thought I was helixing from it, but over time it was clear that this had fueled me with more problems. I did well after detoxing just to eat yogurt. Also the persistant acidity Morgellons individuals suffer with is due to the explosion of organisms and rapid die off. Most natural systems are slightly acidic; PH 5.6. As organic matter is broken down, it releases acids. A high die off of organisms would indeed increase acidity levels. Interestingly enough acid rain was a huge topic in 2000 so why is it since chem trails started(shhh....they're just comtrials); in those areas it is being conducted PH levels have gone from their typical 5.6 acidity to extreme alkalinity? Hmmmm..... Death of decomposers, poisoned by excess aluminum in the soil or increased acidity slows rate of decomposition. Thus increasing mycorrhizal fungi which live symbiotically on the roots of trees having been poisoned. If you've noticed over the years mold issues are becoming more and more common. There are statements made my Randy Wymore in regards to Morgellons skin testing showing a type of fungus found in plants....hmmmm....Barium, Aluminum, Silver Iodide, and God knows what else is in the mix. Diet? I don't think so, not in the true sense of the word Morgellons. It's a lot more complexed than that.
Congratulations on finding a solution to your troubles, I finally found a solution to my digestive troubles and afflictive emotions that come with them just this past year. I suffered from irritable bowels for about 28 years of the 29 I have been around.
After doing my own research (trial by fire) and finding out that I am allergic to dairy and wheat which improved my quality of life greatly, there were still some things bothering me about my diet. I was still hungry all the time and having the indigestion from certain foods I was eating. I was really at a standstill doing my own research and was looking for some professional help and was willing to pay a natural health doctor up to $1000.00 for testing.
It was at that time that A friend at my local health food store in Morro Bay, California turned me onto Dr. L Wilson and also recommended that I check out the specific carbohydrate diet as well. I got a hair mineral analysis test and started researching about the diet.
The hair mineral analysis test showed my calcium magnesium ratios were way off and my potassium magnesium ratios were off as well, most of my other minerals were low too and I was suffering from adrenal burnout and my brain was not producing enough glucose. By looking at the Specific Carbohydrate Diet I realized that hemp milk was one of the things on the specific carbohydrate diet that I could not eat. Then started thinking about it and realized that every time I would drink hemp milk my heartbeat would go way up and I would feel hyper similar to the feeling you get when you drink coffee. I thought it was from the energy in the hemp milk at first and realized that it was giving me trouble spinning me out a little bit like coffee.
Although Quinoa, Amaranth, Millet and Flax seed are illegal on the specific carbohydrate diet I have found that they work for me. Most of the things the specific carbohydrate diet recommend removing are right on for me. I have not found anything else that will keep me full and keep my energy levels up high enough. My diet is so restricted I without Quinoa, Amaranth, Millet and Flax seed I would be starving all the time.
It was a long cycle of trial by fire that lead me to the diet that I am currently on. I don't do well on rice, tapioca or potato flours and most of the gluten free breads are made from these flours so I was mostly eating steamed vegetables chicken and fish with organic corn meal when I first got my test results. About six months later I indroduced Quinoa into my diet and this seemed to help fill me up more and provide a type of buffer to the vegetables chicken and fish I was eating.
A few more months went by and I started trying different flours like Quinoa, Amaranth, Millet and Flax seeds. First I was trying to make bread rise with these types of flours and was just getting a pile of un cooked dough and would have been better off just making some kind of porridge. At this time I was also eating allot of chicken and turkey and steamed vegetables as well.
I eventually got a few cast iron pans an cured them with lard because the bread I was trying to make was sticking to the pans and I had remembered my aunts cast iron pans had a nice non toxic non stick type of surface. So trying different flours and different cooking meathods over and over eating mushy un cooked flat bread I finally figured out how to make good flat bread.
I heat my cast iron pans to 400 degrees and make sure they are nice and cured. Then I mix up my millet flour with quinoa, amaranth and flax seed meal and I learned that the key is to use two or 3 parts millet to one part amaranth, quinoa and flax seed meal. Then I mix up the flours into a pancake type batter and put some olive oil into the pans. Then I pour out the batter into the pans to make a quarter inch flat bread. Making the flat breads has really improved my quality of my life. I can now eat healthy bread although I am allergic to wheat, eggs and dairy.
Some other things I eat are
boiled whole grain quinoa, millet and amaranth with steamed brocoli, bok choy and carrots then I mix in gluten free soy sauce and olive oil.
allot of pistachios to get my fats and extra protein.
some fish once a week to curb the endless hunger I get from protein deprivation when only eating grains nuts seeds and vegetables
sometimes I will eat my bread by itself and have it with lemon water or just plain water, sometimes I have it with almond butter and I also like to dip it in pizza sauce as well
I use my bread for croutons in my romaine and mixed greens salads then I just add some brags apple cider vinegar and olive oil.
I like to eat raw foods as well I make wraps with roasted sea weed paper with sunflower sprouts and cilantro.
I am always making changes and additions to my diet trying to stick to the foods that make me feel good as well as trying to find a balance that tastes good.
My latest change has been removing all sugars from my diet including sugars from fruits as well due to a yeast infection I have developed from stress and worry. I have been taking 3000 ppm colloidal silver which has been keeping the candida in check and it went away for awhile then I started drinking roughly a half gallon of orange juice a day and it returned. I ordered more silver and plan to stay away from the sugars until I get rid of this and who knows maybe I will stick to it. Its been nice not having the ups and downs all the time from sugar spikes.
It is such a blessing to have finally found food that I can eat and not be afraid or think that I am going to get indigestion every meal I eat. I had to take myself to the edge of death to find all this stuff out but now it feels like I have been given another chance at life. It sounds like you had it even worse then me.
I have also been able to help other people with all the things I have learned about diet like staying away from GMO Corn, Canola, Soy and other things that are not good for health and critical thinking skills. My mom has been staying away from Gmo corn and Soy and she had some popcorn at movie theater and since her body is more pure it made her sick and she has a very strong stomach. Now since I have been not eating dairy for a couple years now I get a rash if I eat a milk chocolate bar.
