I got some wonderful replies and settled on an Omega 330 HD model, which was on backorder. A few days ago, the juicer finally arrived and I simply love it. It does a great job, is very easy to assemble, operate, disassemble and clean. Now I am looking for some good juice recipes (or links to them).
Rudolf Breuss's, anticancer mixture has helped thousands of suffering people. This juice blend, during fasting, exerts a death blow on cancer. This was attested by over 24,000 patients who wrote him describing relief from their diseases. His patients were given small amounts of this juice over 42 days. A tea composed of nettle, St. John's wart, marigold, artemisi and monarda was also given. By "starving out" the cancer, Rudolf Breuss reported a 96% success rate for the thousands of patients he treated over 30 years of practice. (Rudolf Breuss died in 1989 at 93 years of age.)
Its composition is: 55% beet root, 20% celery root, 20% carrot, 3% potato, 2% radish.
Good stuff - including the information about the tea.
2 handfulls of carrots
3-4 celery stalks
Bout a fingers width(stems) Cilantro
" " " " " Parsley
1/3 to 1/2 Red Beet
2 small green apples
a thumb sized piece of ginger
Another fave which is considered more a cold soup is
Make bout 12-16oz carrot juice
1 hass avocado
1/4 tsp Powdered Fennel
put in blender till smooth and creamy
Green Juice
1-2 cucumbers
3-4 stalks of celery
Your fave greens - Kale, cilantro, parsley, spinach etc
2 green apples
thumbs sized chunk of ginger
Greens can really taste bitter when juiced so the apples and the
ginger besides being good for you also help take the bitter edge down
I posted the recipe below recently. I called it a Raw Nutritional Bomb.
This is all done in a blender
2 Avocados
2 Celery Stalks
big chunk of ginger peeled
one lemon (try meyers for some extra flavor)
Cucumber
Sea salt to taste (I used a tsp of Celtic SS)
8 -12 Oz of water (I used 12oz and it was still pretty thick so you may want to add more)
Handful of the following:
Kale (no stalks)
Cilantro
Basil
Parsley
Dulse (I had wakame so thats what I used)
As with any raw recipe you can always experiment. Next time I'll try adding garlic and or tomatoes and or habanero for a spicy kick.
I made enough to last a coupla days.
I've been using this forum (Raw Veg Forum) as a repository for juice and raw recipes so do a search on my name for more delicious Raw recipes
I'd like to hear more about this anti-cancer juice. Makes sense tho. That's a lot of beet juice AND a lot of radish - makes chemo look like a Shirley Temple.
DQ - any difference in the way you feel after the juicing?
