I'm on day 2 of a juice fast. I had multiple bowel movements yesterday but none today. I was thinking of doing a salt water flush tomorrow morning if I still haven't had a movement. Am I on the right track here?
It definitely is a good practice to keep your intestines clear while fasting. The good old SWF is one option, though a daily salt water flush is a bit harsh for my taste.
Another excellent option is a plain water enema once a day. I have stopped many a fasting crisis dead in its tracks with a plain old enema. Easier to do than you think, basic equipment.
It took me several years of intensive cleansing before the light came on over my head and I figgered out how to do an EASIER, BETTER SWF!!!
Dissolve 2 t. Sea Salt in one cup drinkably hot water.
Have three cups room temp water standing by.
CHUG as much of the salt water mix as you can, and CHASE with fresh! Chug and chase til all the water is down the hatch.
VOILA! For me it beats drinking a full quart of salt water, telling myself it's "broth" the whole way! Ick!!
About an hour later the whole quart will exit stage south, carrying everything in its path. It really is a good thing to do at least once in a cleanse.
Enjoy your juice, and that light clear clean feeling that comes with fasting.
Great advice, thank you! That will probably work better for me because it's always been annoying trying to find something to hold/measure a quart of water. I've never tried the SWF while fasting before, only post-liver flush. I visited the bathroom on my own earlier but I may still do a SWF tomorrow morning just to make sure the toxins are coming out.
The only time people seem to have trouble with the SWF we all love to hate is when they are not very well hydrated. It's easy to get in this state while MCing, juicing or whatever... you really do need to drink waaay more fluid than you think earthly possible, and you do have a tendency to gurgle when you walk (lol)... but it's all for a good cause! Dangit!
Much as I DO love to hate the SWF, and much as I do NOT recommend a daily swf as the traditional MC does... NOTHING flushes the digestive system top to bottom better than this.
So saying, I line up my ducks and chug-and-chase... then await the inevitable result with baited breath (bad time to start your commute)...
Happy juicing and flushing to all, and to all a good night!
Somer
Thanks a lot peoples, i am on day 4 of my first juice fast, first few days were not pleasant, but i expected that. Today was uplifting no hunger and good energy.
But no bowel movements the first days, searched and found swf. And the hunger in the begining, pfff made me angry.
Somer i used your swf method, and found its very good, took me 2 hours before i could, but felt a lot better afterwards.
Also gone through your postings that is an amazing help also, mucho info.
I think ill keep of the herbs, with exeption of curcumin, because i have a nice lump under my nippel and curcumin already decreased its size in half, when i used it earlier.
Today i had a bowel movement not much and still a brown color, my bowel isn,t clean yet. Dont know what color it should be/become. But dont want to do an enema.
After this fast, i want to go at least 10 days, more if i feel ok, i want to do a Liver Flush or more. Already had a parasite cleanse.
Happy to be alive, all the best and thxs again for the help
As far as color/quantity of what comes out in the ole potty, it all depends on what you have IN THERE! Over four years I unloaded tons of stuff that had been velcroed (I presume) to the walls of my poor abused colon, and I saw colors and quantities you would NOT BELIEVE.
If you do quite a bit of juicing or other liquid fasting and still see lots of solid junk coming out, consider a series of professional colonics. You say you do not want to do an enema... trust me, if you have junk stapled to your intestines water is your friend!
A professional colonic therapist is worth the effort to locate. You want someone with state of the art equipment and lots of education/experience who is happy to talk to you about all of this. I initially began with a series of 3 colonics which my therapist assured me was what it took to clean up a normal colon. At least 60 colonics, MUCH juice fasting (incluing a 60 dayer which really helped turn the corner for me) and four years later I attained my goal, turning 50 with a clean pink colon!
So don't rule any tool out if you are serious about cleansing. I have sucked back so many icky mixtures, been hosed, hosed myself, etc. etc. etc. for about ten years, and am here to tell you it has all been worth it!
I presume, and hope, that that lump has been checked by the pros so you have all the information and can make truly informed decisions about its treatment. I wish you radiant good health!
Thank you for the info, and inspiring words.
In fact i,d much more trust you with my health, than the "pros" i,ve seen.
My gp is oldskool and i,d prefer not going there. Only prescribes pills, some bad experience with it/him.
For the lump, i,ve been to a hospital, wanted to get a puncture to see if its good or bad.
Instead they made an echo and mamograph, and told me it was gynecomastia.
I asked if they could tell from that alone if it was good or bad, they told me they could, so who am i to disagree, i just hope they are right, and know their bussiness.
I won't rule out any tool, for im serious about cleansing, just rather dont use enema, we shall see what the future brings.
Good health pros don't grow on trees! You have to shop them as if your life depended on it!
For my part I could not have done what I have without the advice of my amazing naturopath. She has a very special bag of tricks, being a registered nurse who survived cancer only to have her oncologist put her on 45 days of the Master Cleanser. He told her he had put the poison in, now he had to take it out! She said she had never felt better in her life, and the experience put her on the natural healing trail.
So she is a naturopath, an iridologist, a colonic therapist, an herbologist and has a good understanding of allopathic medicine as well. She is very practical and knows when something is beyond her scope and will not hesitate to send you where you need to go to get the help you need.
You absolutely do need to have someone you trust when you need health advice. If you have any question whatsoever about the information you received from your caregivers, you need to dig deeper until you ARE satisfied! Three opinions is always a good place to start.
Meanwhile we educate ourselves, but I never feel educated to the point where I cannot use information from someone with higher education, so long as we see eye to eye about health matters. NOT EASY to find such a person, but so well worth while when your health is on the line.
Just curious somer-
I've read about your progress with your health here at curezone for a long time now, about how you did liver flushes and colon cleansing and it helped your skin. I was wondering, since you have an iridologist and all... Did your eyes change at all from everything you've done?
My brown eyes have gotten brighter since changing my diet and doing many cleanse, but I still have a black spot on one of them.
Oh my eyes changed BIG TIME! There was a LOT of black (my gunked up intestines), and a lot of orange (yeast)... my eyes are a beautiful clear hazel blue green, amazing changes! And that's what I can see in the mirror. My iridologist sees all this in her scope, and it says I have done GOOD WORK!
And as I'm sure you know, my eyesight actually improved by a full point, a personal miracle, and a permanent one since it's been about five years now.
