Ok So i am new to liver flushing. I see a Hollistic doctor here in Atlanta. I was trying to resolve my consistent adult acne (small little bumps everywhere). After thousands of dollars in testing. I found out that i had several food intolerances, as well as out of line hormones (estrogen dominance) and i am a 29 year old man. Also the test showed that i had "ELEVATED LIVER ENZYMES" I also have had malabsorption problems all of my life as i only weigh 120 lbs and cant gain weight. I had acid reflux for 5 years until i got rid of wheat in my diet. That went away. But i still am getting consistant breakouts. I eat mainly 90% raw. The only protein i eat is fresh salmon and other fish and organic turkey. I juice tons of vegtables. My digestions has improved alot. The doctor said i also needed to detox the liver so that the hormones would balance out so he put me on these liver detox herbs.....which i dont think are working.
My current symptoms:
Mild Adult acne (small bumps everywhere)
Dry Flaky scalp and hair
Dry, burning eyes,
White Coated tongue
Headaches that start around the eyes
Easily Fatigued
Ok Digestion
Yellowing of the skin on my arms
Slow weight gainer
I also was tested for parasites and candida, which show that i have none!
I have had mild acne breakouts since i was 17. I have fair skin so it really shows up. I read online that it has to do with a sluggish liver. I used to eat the standard american diet all my life and drink alcohol. I have been alcohol free since january. I REALLY FEEL COMPELLED.....to START LIVER FLUSHING......
I AM SCARED.....But i am DESPERATE TO GET RID OF ALL OF MY SYMPTOMS
I have been taking MALIC ACID for 5 days and am getting ready to flush. I also started getting colonics done every week. I am nervous. If this doesnt work i dont know what else to do I CANT TAKE THESE SYMPTOMS ANYMORE..... I also wanted to know how to incorporate coffee enemas into the LIVER FLUSHING as i have heard it really detoxifies the liver!!
ANY ADVICE or ENCOURAGEMENT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!!
You can see from this forum that hundreds, thousands of people are flushing their livers and many wonderful changes result. Read the results of the Liver Flush survey; click at the top of the page and read away.
Personally, I am a poster child for body cleansing. I started in at age 46 when my wonderful naturopath informed me that I was full of s$&&$! And I paid her!!
So saying, I started in on my cleansing saga. My focus was intestinal cleansing, and many many professional colonics, juice fasts and herbal cleanses later... I turned 50 with a clean, pink colon!
BUT I still had "adult acne" and "rosacea" until I started flushing my liver. After all the pre-cleansing I had done, it only took 5 or 6 flushes at two week intervals until I passed 30-40 beautiful, jade green stones the size of small prunes! After that, my digestion improved dramatically, my eyes improved by a FULL POINT, a permanent change, and all of my skin problems disappeared -- VOILA! Another permanent change.
I continue doing maintenance flushes a couple of times a year, and my skin is amazing.
Whatever your cleansing goals, do your homework, talk to people, and GO FOR IT! You are on the right trail.
Liver flushing sounds esoteric, but it is really Plumbing 101. NO big deal, and it really does work!
My impression from what you wrote is that you need to have complete testing for Celiac Disease. The white plaque on your tongue, the relux, the maladsorbtion suggest this possibility. You may do better to avoid all gluten foods, not only wheat but barley and rye. Since you have been avoiding wheat unless you start eating it again for up to 3 months the blood tests may not be positive. It is often helpful to have the genetic marker assay or the molecular serology test done and a gluten challange diet is not necessary.
I found doing cleanses and detoxifications were very helpful. I have found taking a zinc suppplement clears up whiteheads (white bumps) along with Vit C and B vitamins. Epsom Salts sweat baths help clean toxins from the body.
Whatever you do try to stay as natural as possible. Don't take vitamin isolates. Get it all from food. Cleansing is great just don't over do because it can really deplete your minerals.
Also a raw diet is not neccesarily a healthy diet, especially if your digestion is weak. Trust me on this.
thanks usasoccer11 for the advice....Yeah i see a hollistic chinese doctor and he said i needed to eat fresh alaskan salmon or fish or organic turkey atleast 3 to 4 times a week.....he does not agree with strict raw vegan. I tried raw vegan for a month and it messed me up and my digestion......So i try to do fresh veggie juice.....fruits only in the morning and lots of veggies. and then some organic protein.and good fats (avacados, walnuts)...however the doc has me on this detox multi vitamin and other herbs while im cleansing so i dont know.,......I just wanna get my liver functioning good......i dont know if it ever has!
I think you are on the right track with you plan and the doctor's help. Going totally vegan is not necessarily the solution of it all. The fish is definitely a good choice. Hope it works out.
