We are looking into possibly moving to Colorado and I wanted to find people that I can communicate with about the local health community. I want to find out what areas we should check out. Looking for a more healthy environment for me as we really wonder how much of my progress or lack of progress is due to environment. I have tried so many things and just don't seem to get ahead.
Thanks so much. Just let me know if you want me to private message you or email you.
What part of Colorado are you thinking of moving to? The denver area is becoming a rat race just like every other major city. Denver had more of a small town atmosphere about 15 years ago. Seems like the more crowded a city gets the more rude their driving behavior is. I dont understand why everyone drives like their in such a hurry. Its like they all have anxiety complexes once they get behind the wheel. Its funny people complain about gas prices but they hit the gas so hard like gas is cheap. I guess their anxiety clouds their logic. Yea and then you got people that complain about gas prices that own a suburban or expedition...Go figure...
The denver area is very health oriented. There is like 8 or 9 whole foods in the denver/boulder area. Vitamin stores everywhere. Used to work at a vitamin store for 5 years. Colorado springs or Ft. Collins has more of a small town feel. Cost of living is cheaper there than the denver area. The cost of living in Denver is way overpriced for the house your getting.
My ND has one of those machines. IT's called the Asyra. IT's totally amazing. Extrememly high tech. My feeling is that it's an amazing tool if it is true. I am at the point where I need a break from it and would rather see the actual science. But I am getting frustrated because it points out so many things that are wrong!!!!!! It can analyze food allergys/sensitivitys, chemical sensitivitys, organ stuff, toxins, blockages of energy, you name it. it can suggest which supplements will help you or your body won't react well to, and if it's too strong for you. It's overwhelming. never ending. Not meant to diagnose, but to help. I have noticed many practictioners are using this now, not just ND's but chiropracters too.
The place we moved to a few months ago, there is almost no natural healers in the immediate area. But I found one person who is and she uses one of these kinds of machine - but I don't know the name of it. But I know what you mean by it finding so many things wrong with a person. But I think even in a healthy person, there is always going to be something found. No one, no matter how healthy they think they are, is without something wrong.
Yes, I agree totally. In fact, I'm sort of trying to prove him wrong!!!! He did allergy testing on there, saying stop wheat, tomatoes, all dairy.... and recently I did a blood blot test for food delayed allergy, and it said wheat was fine! and tomatoes were fine!!!!! Dairy though, was moderate, but enough to stay away from, besides, I don't feel to good, like bloated when i have it. He said I have leaky gut, and I've been taking lots of enzymes with and without foods, but I went back to my old doctor and did a gut permeable test. I want to see the Science now. I've been back on wheat and tomatoes, but not excessive amounts.
My ND is very sincere, but in spite of it, I've spent a fortune on supplements with him. So, good tool for him to sell the supplements. I don't know. If I have leaky gut, then I guess the machine does know and senses my gut.
If you have candida, and/or parasites, chances are very good that you have leaky gut. Oh and for the record, eons ago, I had an edoscopy searching for things like celiac disease. They said I don't have it and could eat wheat, but whenever I eat wheat, it doesn't agree with me. They also said I don't have lyme disease and they were wrong about that as well. So Science isn't always right or rather the doctors' interpretations are always right. But try telling that to someone who has a bigger ego that the average celebrity.
