Dear souls, please take 5-10 mg of an over the counter adrenal hormone, DHEA, if you experience anxiety. If you feel better in 20 minutes, you have adrenal collapse/adrenal insufficiency. Women should then take the KETO-7 form of DHEA as it doesn't form collateral hormones; men can take up to 25 mg as it is a more masculine-type hormone but one women need. DHEA is depleted by stress, loud noise, sugar, caffeine, nicotine; and the adrenals are fed by mineral salts like kelp and good fats and oils like a good ribeye steak and olive oil. No fried foods or hydrogenated fats, please. DHEA deficiency is what causes cold hands and feet, stress and anxiety and inability to relax and breath freely. Take DHEA ONLY AS NEEDED so the adrenals are not trained to get lazy.
Some people have anxiety because of low cortisol. If you have low cortisol and take extra DHEA you will lower the cortisol even more which could be deadly.
For people much under 40, taking a DHEA supplement without testing(and having a low level) is not a good idea. For those over 40, men taking 25 mg a day or women taking 10 mg a day even without testing seems like a good idea. The DHEA should be taken as soon as one wakes up.
I am 45 and I started taking 7 Keto Dhea with high cortisol 2 months ago. I didn't noticed a change in mood but I did noticed it helped my struggling digestion a lot. It took awhile to get in my system but now it's one of my most valuable supplements.
I have powder caps and I started out taking the whole cap which is 100 mg. I did that for a week and relized it was probably a bit much but had no ill effects. So now I open the cap and take about .25 to .30 of it.
....time to research supplements and protocols with a trained and educated herbologist or naturopath BEFORE spending money on something that may be in direct contrast with what you, as an individual, may require or respond to. Having labwork done to indicate personal serum levels is always very wise option.
It is extraordinarily RECKLESS to make a blanket statement that any one supplement or protocol is appropriate for everyone, so people use your heads and do the homework first!
And, as an aside: no supplement or protocol will cure or alleviate physical or emotional abuse!
