Hey, guys. This is my first time on Curezone. I wanted to post some pics of myself and ask your opinion about what I might have. I might not even be Seborrheic Dermatitis, but that's what my primary care physician thinks.
Basically, I've had really red, blotchy, skin for about five years now. Prior to that I had moderate-severe acne and went on Accutane twice. Most of it is confined to my forehead, especially around the eyebrows. The area around my eyebrows itches intensely, my forehead flakes, my nose flakes, and it's pretty dry. I also get pretty severe hives on my face, and I only get them in specific spots (lateral portions of cheeks, eyebrows, NEVER in the center of my eyebrows, on nose, upper lip, or chin). I also get a bunch of pimples and things around my eyes, and they always seem to form INSIDE the lines I have under my eyes. It's hard to tell in the pics, but it's true. I also get these linear, red bumps on my face, and you can see what I'm talking about in the pictures.
Anyway, I know you're not all experts, but any opinions whatsoever would help. I've tried every single antifungal cream that I can get OTC (EVERY one), I've tried Salicylic acid, all kinds of different face washes, sulfur, and so on. I have a dermo appointment pretty soon, but after some bad experiences I'm starting to think my case is hopeless.
Doesn't looks like you have SD, in my opinion you have a kind of contact dermatitis due to environment, chemicals or stuff you are eating.
Try to talk to a naturopath professional near your city.
One of the main characteristics of Seborreic Dermatitis is grease skin and the fact that it becomes worst when you're felling depressed, sad, tired or after too much sex / masturbation.
Hey, I'm from the Philippines and i kinda have the same condition right now and i'm also not sure what it really is. I would like to know if you are able to find a way to cure your condition since the you posted these pictures. Thanks.
