Today has come and gone, and I'm still fasting despite the most difficult personal circumstances. I guess, when you've come this far, you don't want to stop until you get to where you want to be.
I have 14 days left, and my belly seems smaller (my last ultrasound showed a 15 cm ovarian cyst). We'll see at the beginning of next month, when I have my next test.
I'm running every day, and needing less ventolin to breathe. I'm feeling healthier every day.
my neighbors are cooking all the time...makes me crave maccaroni and cheese, etc. And everytime I see someone eating on tv I want to taste it. But it's easy NOT to go to the fridge now...probably just because I've invested so much already.
It is so great to hear from someone who is going long. I am hoping to do 21 days in June (my longest was 12 days) and you make me believe it is possible! Thanks.
Thanks, Rowan. My longest fast before this was 13 days done 15 years ago! I'm amazed that I've come this far...most other fasts only lasted 3-5 days, with one 11 day fast.
What's crazy is that I think I passed some stones today, without the liver flush. I may have passed a few others over the last week, too. I just didn't know what they look like or that it was possible to do so on an MC!
Everybody's noticing that I am looking so different these days. My eyes are brighter, and I just look better...hard to explain...I find that even I don't recognize myself.
The great thing is that no one at work has figured out that I've lost almost 20 pounds. I'm so happy about that because the last thing I need is for people to think that I'm on a diet or something...that will only bring trouble. I'm sure we all know how troublesome it can be if co-workers know that you're doing an MC, or think you're on some radical weight loss thing. It's almost always about weight for them. I guess they can't see why someone would abstain for the sake of health.
