Tree Hugging Scientifically Proven to Improve Your Health
by Shellee Tyler
Tree hugging has now been shown to have scientific validity after all. Contrary to popular belief, touching a tree does make you healthier. In fact you don't even have to touch the tree to get better, just being within its vicinity has the same effect
There is so much that modern science does not know, or does not accept, when it comes to natural healing and healing energy. But then, how can you patent and profit from tree hugging?
Modern science denied any benefits from accupuncture other than the placebo effect until study after study proved them wrong. Some still cling to that view and they continue to deny chakras and other healing energy that is outside their mainstram science.
Likewise, aromatherapy has long been written off as quakery, Then it was found to be quite scientifically valid. See:
A favorite target of mainstream medicine dating back over a century has been homeopathy. Science could not understand it and it also has represented a very big threat to the profits of mainstream drugs and treatments. Then a nobel prize winning scientist discovered the basis for homeopathy:
Besides the profit motive behind denial of anything which cannot be patented and profited from, mankind continues to fall into the same centuries-old trap of believing that the science of today has all the answers. That was true when science believed that the world was flat, it was true when science believed that the sun and rest of the universe revolved around the earth, and it is true today.
Just as has happened time and again, a hundred years or two from now science will look back upon today's lack of knowledge with disdain. And probably once again believe that it has all the answers.
As a final note, It has yet to be determined if second-hand tree hugging is also beneficial - that is, hugging a tree hugger - but I'm betting that it is.

: )
And in that same spirit, recognizing there is a tree-hugger in everyone, regardless of whether it's sleeping, denied or merely imprisoned, love the tree-hugger within.
think of how great it'd be to start seeing tree-huggers everywhere! Would be hard not to smile. (Of course you first have to experience what that's all about, so I wish that happiness on others. ) I have recently, well, since spring, often stopped in the ravine near my home, and put my arms around a tree. Or just leaned ny forehead against one, for a few moments. It's good to take off the shoes, to do this; then you get the earthing benefits too. For me, connecting with a tree is like meeting a beloved elder. In every critical time of my life, I have noticed that there is always a tree, (well, all of them, but) one particular tree, since we are so self-and one other-focussed, that I find myself being bathed in; that provides a strong feeling of support. Lately, there's a very tall one, in the garden behnd the rehabilitation centre where my companion is learning to walk.
Just to sit out there, and gaze at this tree, which has seen a lot come and go, and kind of anchors the building and the little back garden- is a healing balm.
I'm always happy to read that there's some new "proof" lol also, of the efficacy of homepathics. Sad isn't it, how much the Rockefeller name, just for one example, gets linked with suppression of the good, the fair and the affordable.
Time and again meditation is also scientifically proven to be both a
preventer of heart disease, cancer, anxiety, hypertension and a host of other
ills, as well as a healer of those ills.
We in the USA have lost touch with our connection to the Planet. Even
as late as the 1930s we had 35% of our population living on farms, most without
either electricity of running water. I remember as late as 1950 working on
a farm that had neither of those - if you wanted water you went to the kitchen
sink and pumped, real indoor plumbing. If you wanted to poop you went to
the outhouse and not many years before that even those were a
rarity.
Trees are living entities and are grounded in the soil. When you are
near one it assists you in your own personal grounding as well. You can be
grounded and "earthing" sitting in your living room - you do not have
to be next to a tree though that is a great experience at times too. An
earthing mat is utter bull shit - you don't need one, all you need to do is to
be grounded and connected with the Planet and running your own Earth energies
through the channels that carry that flow. Learn to be grounded from your
first chakra to the center of the Planet, run your Earth energy, and you can do
that 24/7 - even while on the Astral. You can be grounded and running your
Earth energy at 40,000 feet in an airliner, balloon, or rocket ship and be
grounded every bit as well as while hugging a tree.
We have have lost what our ancestors knew while they lived even without
shelter. The bushmen of the Serengeti have no words for either yesterday
or tomorrow. Everything with them is now. (Science is still going
nuts trying to define time and they haven't done it yet - it doesn't exist,
there is only now.) The "primitive" people also aware of the
many spirits who are here to help us. The Australian aborigines are aware
of the Rainbow Serpent which everyone of us has within us - our kundalini
energy. By practicing a grounded and Earth energy meditation one will
discover their chakras and that kundalini which runs up the spine of
everyone. But must people would rather believe they are just a body and
try to heal the body when it is spiritual ills that are causing our physical
problems. Today we're just too damned smart for our own good, both allopathic
and alternative, or so we think.
