I don't know where to start, but here goes. I am 30 years old, and have a 2.5 year old son. My husband and I felt ready for baby number 2 and recently started trying.
In the meantime II have been noticing my health Declining (7 amalgams, one root canal) I have recently discovered the dangers of amalgams, because I have been struggling with systematic candida, which linked one of main possible causes it mercury. Anyway, long story short I have now been leaning towards getting my Amalgams removed, chelating and then trying for second baby.
I have MANY hurdles to pass, one being to wait for baby #2. By the help from God and from your feedback I am hoping to pass those other hurdles in my journey to recovery.
I am from NJ but currently reside in Bahrain, Middle East. I cannot find a holistic dentist here nor anywhere close to me, so will need to come to NJ for I'm guessing 3-4 weeks and get the procedure done. (any recommendation on finding a great holistic dentist who can guide me is welcome)
My question is, after the amalgams removal. How do I start chelating? There is soooo much information on what to do, not do, what works etc. that I am quite confused. Just an FYI. I am Indian, so garlic and cilantro is a very common ingredient to the daily food. ( I have been trying to avoid cilantro for the time being due to the amalgams) but later is it ok to have?
Also I read somewhere that Algin is great and safe to use with the amalgams, so I have started taking that now. Haven't noticed any difference, but it has only been 4 days. Sorry for the rambling. There is so much happening and so little time. I really don't know if I should go to a naturopath to help guide me in this. I don't want to make a mistake and then delay my pregnancy and my healing.
I'm glad you are trying to get your health back on track. I have only 2 Amalgam fillings, but I have ALOT of health problems. I think it's due to the fact that one of those amalgam I have, or should say had now, had to be replaced twice before and of course I swallowed some of it.
The problem in the middle east here is that there are no dentists especialized in removing amalgam. Which is a problem. Actually, it was difficult to convince my dentist that they are health hazard. He says he never heard about it, and I'm sure nobody else will tell him.
You can detox with Toxguard from Jarrow formulas, it's great and gentle. I have been on it for 10 days, It's making me tired and sleepy but this is fine.
Toxguard is really nice, but you need your amalgam removed first. I don't think you can do anyt chelation until they are out.
At the dentist office, before you have your amalgam removed, take activated charcoal to help remove that mercury you just ingested. Also take a high dose of vitamin C powder when you get home to cause diarrhea, it helps with chelation too.
After 3 months you can add Alpha Lipoic Acid, not before 3 months, 50mg to 100mg every 3 hours. I found a sustained release formula from Jarrow Formulas. The tablet is 300mg, it dissolve on 6 hours peroid. ALA is a great chelator, but you can't use it alone.
Actually, there is alot to do and I advice you to do it soon before you get pregnant. You need to be heavy-metal free before you get pregnant.
If you have any other question please do ask, good luck.
Michael
Also read up on liver flushing, as you do not want to begin a chelation protocol unless your hepatic biliary system is optimally functioning.
Not only does the liver produce glutathione, which binds directly to mercury and other heavy metals for elimination, but it is also the major pathway for removal from the system; through the biliary pathways.
Yea I thought so, I take Life Extension Milk Thistle. It's 750mg per cap, a very good dose from a great company. Milk Thistle increases blood levels of glutathione too.
Check out the Hulda Clark flush. If you think you may have a history of liver stones (gallbladder attacks/ poor diet in the past like mcdonalds etc) it is definitely worth doing to determine for certain. Biliary obstruction is kind of like heavy metal poisoning. It registers on the conscious mind but the full scope of it is invisible and often underestimated.
Thank you so much for the info and support. It is very overwhelming for me, b/c for the past month I have been reading reading and reading up about mercury, it's effects on health, amalgams, re,oval, chelation and debating whether or not I should get it done.
Running the costs of getting 7 Amalgams replaced now discouraged me from visiting the US, Nj my home town and considering getting it done in India or China which would be quite less. The quotes I'm getting is anywhere from 200-1700 per tooth depending on how big and deep and I know at least 2 of my teeth need work.
Am considering India, since I'm Indian, and asking them to give me rubber dam and oxygen during removal. Also looking at option for China :-/
I have been reading about liver, kidney and immune system being in top shape and have been looking into jucing for added boost of vitamins and minerals. So thank you for that.
Finally am alo wondering if in should get the biocompatibility test done to see which filling to replace it with that won't react with my body. Not sure if it's worth the trouble and costs.
I love this site and the feedback people give here to help each other out. May God make it easy for each and every one of us and give us health and vitality to live a meaningful life.
It's really not safe to get pregnant while having this heavy metal in your mouth/body. You need them all removed and replaced by composite fillings.
You said you are in the middle east right? why don't you do them here in Egypt? You would pay around $40 to $50 MAX per tooth and you would be going to the best dentist in the country. I don't think you would need to stay for long, if the dentist knows that you are in a hurry he will do them all in few days.
I'm still on ToxGuard, which is natural and gentle, but I will be adding more chelation agents soon. I know it will take 6 months to a year for me to feel better although I had only 2 fillings.
Good luck and let me know if you need anything
Michael
