SO.......I was in the ER again over the weekend. For 7 months my now, my life stopped to a screeching holt virtually due to a sudden inability to properly exhale. My exhalation levels are less than 40% of what's normal & since then, nobody has really seemed to figure out why. I have NO history of breathing problems, but this did come on me suddenly after taking 2 rounds of the antibiotic, Amoxicillin for an apparent sinus infection last Feb.
Only two things since this nightmare began has seemed to dent this severe problem.
1.) 40MG's of prednisone for a 5 day run. By the 3-5th days it was a total game changer, to the point that I honestly thought I was getting my life back and getting back to work. Then....after the 5th day of the prescription running out, full remission to all the hardcore breathing problems. The hard cut, no taper didn't help matters either.
2.) A prescription for pharm grade anti fungal, Nystatin. First couple days, didn't notice anything. Then, in the 3rd, 4th & 5th days....REALLY noticed some great strides and breathing opening up for the first time in 6 months. After those first few days of big improvement, I slide back to the usual bs of tough breathing. Lost all progress on this med.
Since then, I circled back the pulmonary doc i've been working with and his theory yesterday now was as follows, and would love to know your thoughts:
He thinks that my initial sinus infection over the summer f*cked up and inflammed my bronchial tree....and that's it's a matter of getting them to all calm down enough so they can heal and breathing begin to resume normal. He speculates that for whatever reason, my irritated bronchial tree has never calmed down enough since this all began. He doesn't think it's classic asthma or a serious lung disease.
I asked him why the Nystatin worked for a few days, he said because anti fungals have an anti inflammatory property to it and that was that.
Previously, because the Nystatin seemed to be working, he speculated that I had a serious fungal/mold infection in my lungs....now since it's not working he's back peddled and changed his theory to the above.
I don't know what to believe honestly. The pulmonary doc seems to think this....he's passing me onto the braintrust of a well respected pulmonary group to try to further brainstorm this.....to see what the next action is to take.
He told me the best thing to do is stay calm and not do anything until i see this pulmonary braintrust in 2.5 weeks. He told me that even though it feels like i'm dying many times, i'm not. Re-assuring, sorta not really.
He says once lungs get provoked and irratated...it's hard to get them to calm down, which is what the next step in experts are for i guess, which seems to be out of his scope of what to do at this stage.
My thought has always been, let's get the Bronchoscopy (camera stuck down into chest to take a look around and lavage/culture samples) and invasive lung biopsies so we can take the guess work outta of this whole affair and treat it accordingly. For whatever reason, primarily because nothing shows up on my xrays, i've been having a hell of time trying to get this kind of procedure enacted.
I've been networking with people in the mold toxicity arenas, who concluded that i more than likely am a victim of black mold toxicity from my last apartment. In all fairness, the air quality in my last partment for 5 years was very damp, musty and poor...and there was some visible mold.
Which means, ZERO fruit or anything else that can be turned into sugar to feed yeast, fungals or molds in my body according to that whole community. Many people who've been exposed to mold toxicity have even started living in tents....and that there are literally like 3 doctors in the entire US who have the knowledge and experience to legit diagnose and treat these matters.
When i'm laying in bed, I can hear a constricted, noise every time i exhale before it stops me from exhaling fully and properly.
I know all drugs are bad, i never took them really...even medications before this nightmare began. But when you literally can't breath and your organs are really getting enough oxygen, you kinda freak out and don't care what it takes to get back on track. I literally have been unable to do anything for 7 months.
I'm so depressed, distraught & confused as what to do, how to eat or what's wrong with me!
My whole day is literally watching tv and not moving until i go to bed. The shortness of breath 24/7 is literally that bad. My whole life as i know it gotten taken away from me virtually overnight. Before this, i was mostly raw and hardly ever became ill.
If ANY of you have any thoughts, ideas or know of anyone that would be good to consult with about this, I would hugely appreciate it. Apparently, what i'm going through is extremely uncommon:(
Literally folks, I don't know where to turn anymore, i'm like running so low on hope at this point. I can't live like this and frankly, losing the will to. Please don't give up on me...I know it must be annoying to read all this.
Like I said any thoughts, suggestions, speculations, theories are highly appreciated. Love you all.
warmest regards,
-Steven
It sounds to me like thus far your mainstream experience has been one of guesswork, but that is often the case. Not that advice on a public forum site won't also be guesswork, but I do know a thing or two about asthma (quite the family history, including my grandmother, son and cousin) and perhaps I can hlep.
First of all, though it would seem counter-intuitive to inhale smoke when you have asthma, smoking herbal mullein leaf will often provide almost instant relief. Mullein is a long-time native remedy and the plant has both anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties. I can absolutley tell you from personal experience with myself, my partner Luella May and my son that it has worked awesomely.
Another thing which has worked wonders is a combination of:
1. Nebulizing with a mixture of five parts quality colloidal silver and one part lobelia extract, and
2. Taking a a couple of capsules of a Chinese herbal formula product called ClearLungs Extra (look it up and check out all the healthy ingredients it has for the lungs).
You can nebulize several times a day as needed, and I would also recommend taking up to a couple of ounces of oral colloidal silver daily to help even further with any mold/fungus/bacteria problems. Note that you can also add one part or so of mullein extract to the nebulizer instead of smoking it (though I think smoking it works best of all).
Just wondering - have you ever used a cup or two of black coffee to help relieve and/or ward off an asthma episode? That was a real life saver for my grandmother several times and it has helped Luella too.
For a bit more information, see the article I wrote for Natural News:
"Use nature instead of dangerous drugs to treat and relieve asthma"
i remember being in bed and not being able to leave my room for a good year due to similar breathing issues you had. i was sent to the ER twice and with no help. But you will get through it, it'll be hard and the hardship will cause you to search hard for your answers. Have hope friend.
I am sorry to hear you are going through all this. I too was exposed to toxic mold and it has been a struggle with fungus and mold.
I will tell you one thing that really helped me and I say me because I am not telling you this will cure you, but I am sure it will help you to breathe better and it is natural. I went to a salt room. The problem is there aren't too many in the U.S. Not sure where you are located. Just google salt caves and see if you can find one. It helped my lungs and I don't have the breathing problems I had. I was skeptical whether the salt cave would work, but after only 2 sessions I knew it was going to help as I was getting a bit of relief. I went for many sessions a week. Sometimes twice a day. All you do is relax in a lounger and breathe salt into your lungs. I am still fighting the fungus and mold in my body though.
I am trying a parasite cleanse at the moment and hope it really helps.
There are many natural things you can do and i am sure people will see your post and give you some good natural recommendations.
Make sure your blood pressure levels are normal/sodium levels are high enough. Sometimes low blood pressure can cause constriction.
Rubbing some essential oils on your chest might help a little-eucylaptus oil/peppermint oil or
Taking a bath with vaporizing oils-i would get a shower filter and limit your chlorine exposure.Chlrorinated showers can be constricting. If you take a hot bath make sure the water has no chlorine.
Interesting-so nystatin helped you to breathe better? Maybe fungal infection in the lungs due to mold exposure?
Experiment with other anti-fungals to see if it helps with your breathing--coconut oil/undecylenic acid etc...
I know people with breathing problems have used sudafed and have helped. But thats only a quick fix and will exhaust the adrenals.
Avoid foods that cause constriction/astringent qualities--Avoid caffeine etccc Avoid Diurectics or foods that are strong diurectics=causes imbalance of sodium/magnesium(electrolytes) which can cause constriction.
Asthma is a not uncommon symptom of candida and heavy metal problems. That could be why the nyastatin worked for a while. I suggest you try an anti-yeast program to see if it helps.
As an aside, I can tell you my story with breathing trouble and asthma-like symptoms.
I remember having lung problems after I had my teeth with silver fillings cleaned with a tooth polisher. My lungs hurt for a month afterward and I had some trouble breathing.
That helped to convince me to replace my fillings.
After I had my silver fillings replaced, I had more breathing trouble and some full-on asthma attacks. I believe from breathing in mercury during replacement (and probably from breathing in the mercury for the many years before that). I went to a doctor and he gave me an inhaler which worked within a week to clear up my trouble. Maybe my doctor was puzzled as to why it worked so well, so quickly. I pretty sure that it's because I'm no longer breathing in the mercury.
A contributing factor was the fact that I have developed an allergy to dust and mites. Cleaning my room helped too.
Now, my breathing is better, but occasionally rough. I suffer from some post nasal drip, which sometimes makes my voice rough and makes me cough.
Research the Buteyko breathing method-> proven in clinical trials to permanently cure asthma. Even if you don't have asthma chronically it is still helpful for overall health. Using the breathing method I went from gasping, hyperventilation at rest to being able to hike up steep hills whle barely breathing through my nose.
I recommend also a *gradual* transition off of ALL drugs and medication, and using natural healing for whatever ails you. I also recommend getting away from T.V. and going outside, even if you can't walk much.
Clean your colon
change your diet
Flush your liver
Chelate heavy metals
Parasite cleanse
Candida cleanse
*feel your emotions deeply and unconditionally
*bring presence and awareness deep into your body
*open your heart and have compassion/forgiveness
*do energy work
These things will make you feel better immediately, and also in the long term.
Even if you do have fungal/mold problems (which many of us have or had), there is a good chance that there is something else, or a combination of things, that is burdening your immune system and making you susceptible to the mold/fungus. For me it was heavy metals and parasites.
For starters, it sounds like you need to get yourself on a major detox program. If you have the money, get yourself a portable sauna (mine cost about $100). Start doing coffee enemas, and regular enemas as well. Cut out absolutely everything that is not wholesome food. Take as much vitamin C a day as your digestive tract can handle. Drink tons of water. This stuff will not likely cure you, but it will allow your body to begin detoxifying itself so as to begin on the road to recovery.
Keep up with the antifungals and try the above. It should make a big difference as you continue to figure out what precisely is wrong with you.
I am currently using a sauna in a gym and it is starting to get expensive. Where did you get your $100 sauna? Is it as effective as a traditional sauna?
I could suggest a few things ( this is based on my personal experience of dealing with a nasty secondary infection after getting whooping cough ):
(1) Throw out your fluoride toothpaste!!!!!!!!!
I cant stres this enough.
Fluoride is a DNA level poison pure and simple.
Fluoride also supresses immune function and messes up thyroid operation, which in turn messes up your metabolism.
(2) Get some sun. The sun on skin makes vitamin D which is **critical** for immune function. People freak out about skin cancer, but a hour of sun a day doesnt seem to hurt.
(3) Vitamin C - when I have a flu, I take 4 GRAMS ( not milligrams ) per day. When sick you need GRAMS of the stuff.
You will know when you have too much as your body will get a gentle case of the trots ( mild diahreaha ). Vit C is mostly harmless.
(4) Garlic & ginger - these are serious bug fighters. get organic if you can. I take a thumb size ammount of ginger morning an dnight grated up with a tablespoon of honey ( to mask the strong taste ). Do not cook - it destroys the bug killing properties.
Garlic - one raw uncooked clove of garlic morning and night with a tablespoon of honey. Yes it tastes bloody awful, but it kicks viruses & bacterias ass big time.
Your wife/girlfriend will hate you coz you stink, but keep it up for at least a week, preferably two.
Shower morning and night to keep the garlic smell down as it will come out of your skin pores.
(5) Food - get rid of as much sugar, processed food and soda out of your diet. Eat as much vegies and salads as you can - organic is preferred as its less likely to have pesticides on it.
(6) Sleep - go to bed 10pm at latest.
(7) Stress - minimise stress as much as possible - buy a good book, turn off the tv and let your body rest . Rest is critical to heal.
Hope this helps - our society is so toxic and fast paced that we burn out our bodies and smash our immune system with drugs so that our bodies constantly malfunction and we wonder why!!!! Not rocket science.
Keep on the drugs the doctor has given you and do this as well if you want to.
THE KICKER
==========
My MD gave me two lots of antibiotics and neither really worked - which is why I went the garlic/ginger way.
Within 3 days the garlic/ginger DID WORK FOR ME.
I make no guarantees in all this, humans have the same physiology so give it a try. Obviously if you feel bad when doing the garlic/ginger thing, then stop immediately.
Hi There, I have just posted something on MgO2 for digestive problems by oxygenation works even better in the lungs.
I strongly recommend Dr. Douglass reading and even more H2O2 oral therapy. Your problem is an infection in your lungs due to the detrimental side effect of antibiotics degrading the body immune system. H2O2 properly used clean lungs of infections as well as the phlegm which is choking you from within starting at alveoli. It is a question of a few days on the oral protocol, if speeded up like I did even faster.
Teas etc. come nowhere near in remedial power but drastically exceed H2O2 in costs and prolonged suffering.
With kind regards, Slavek.
P.S. If you want more info, privately through Curezone messaging.
Hi, I'm interested in hearing how this came out for you? It has been several days since you posted it looks like. I've had similar symptoms I think after lots of antibiotics. I'd love to compare it further, or hear how you are doing.
There are virtually no syndromes and/or diseases that are not reversible. If you are interested in taking control of your own health [and I sincerely hope you are], the following will give you all the information you need:
