I am on day 3 of 110 day juice feast. It is my second time . First juice feast I did back in July, for only 30 days but man, it was the best experience ever, and I promised myself that I will do it at least once a year.I felt so light to my stomach, and clarity of mind is incredible, and also recovery time - I slept only few hours a night but my sleep was so deep and hard - I do not remember ever sleeping so hard. I know now that if we go to sleep on full stomach , we wake up several times a night, even not realizing and we may luck REM sleep. This was probably my case. But it was the time that I was taking few summer classes and had full time job and a newborn with wife. And I succeeded.
First time is the most difficult because you do not know what to expect. At first, I did not plan anything - how many days or what kind a juice. I took one day at a time. and i was happy with each day. I lost 36 pounds total.( still have some weight to loose) About day 24 i started to have terrible cravings for food - especially for sushi. I struggled for next 6 days and than I broke it. I indulged into food. First it was mostly raw. later all kinds, but I was not able to eat a lot because I felt full. I tried to restart juice feast few times - was able to stay 1 or 2 days and than gave up. Mostly because everybody around me was eating. But now since last 3 days I am on my way again. This time I am going for 110 days. It is all planned. I know the the routine now. I usually make 8 - 9 liters of juice and have it for 2 -3 days. Otherwise it is impossible. I only drink juice and water- no coffee . First time I had terrible withdrawal symptoms - head ache - but very dull , for a few days. Now everything looks good. Yesterday little bit of head ache but it is bearable. At first I drink fruit juice but after few days I really have taste for veggie juice - tomatoes, cucumbers, Celery , red peppers, red beet and ginger and cayenne. I am going to post every few days because I know it helps when we connect with other people in similar situation.
Just wanted to say thank you for posting so much details. It truly is an inspiration, and also helps me as I donīt know what to be prepared for during the fast (how my body will respond etc). How is the fast going??
