I'm flushing solely for allergies and basic cleansing, so I have no idea what a gallbladder problem feels like. My husband has bad reflux and a family history of gallbladder problems. He has had some episodes of "indigestion" which appear to me to be gallbladder attacks based on what I have read about them.
He has done 2 flushes so far with great results. Since then, he hasn't had any major attack or indigestion. (though he still has reflux). Lately, he is complaining of being hot all the time. It is causing a problem at bedtime because he doesn't want any covers, and I need them. Sometimes I look over at him, and he looks sweaty even though he otherwise shows no discomfort. I feel his forehead at these times and he is very warm. I've asked him repeatedly if he feels ill in anyway, and he always says no. Could these be "mini" gallbladder attacks? Or maybe a cleansing reaction--the liver is so much more clean the body is trying to rapidly detox itself? Any ideas?
How warm do you keep the house? I have to have the indoor temp at 74 - 76 with a ceiling fan on or I am in the same boat. My wife is under the sheet and comforter with her nose sticking out, I sleep without the covers, no jamas and the fan going. When the temp gets up to 78 or so, I toss and turn for a while and wake up...
How long since the last flush? What is his diet like? I immediately thought of a mineral imbalance and\or deficiency, but could be off base...
We keep it at 75 degrees. But we live in AZ and setting it any lower, it would run constantly. Any cooler and I would be freezing my butt off. Maybe I'm the one with the problem. LOL. I do have a slightly low body temp, but I have had it forever, and this sweating with him just started very recently.
His last flush was about 3 weeks ago. Do you think maybe the magnesium in the Epsom caused some other minerals to go off-balance?
Potassium maybe... I know that it has seemed to help me handle the heat. Is he eating lots of in season locally grown organic vegetables and fruit? This is what I would suggest. I have heard that in season food has greater potassium to sodium ratio in the summer that helps us handle the heat better and I would have to say after following this advice I have handled the heat this summer better than any in the last 7 years or so (I live in AZ desert as well). I eat almost exclusively organic produce which may help some with greater mineral content in produce than conventionally grown foods. But then I am also taking Maca which is very high in potassium.
As a side note, I questioned Wild Oats about where they get most of their in season organic produce and they do try to get most of it locally... they extend the season on some produce though by going north out of state and then to New Zealand though so I would be picky and try to focus on organic produce grown as close to home as possible.
Keep in mind this is going to take some time as your body must be able to absorb what it needs over time. One piece of fruit probably will not make a big difference, but you never know.
I have had the exact same problem for a long time and now I know that my gallbladder was and still is at the source of this problem with all likelihood. The heat actually keeps me from sleeping very often no matter how cold I turn the air condition. I tend to sweat a little, even when it is like 72 F. When I fall asleep it is a very shallow restless sleep.
The only thing that helps me is Coptis + Curcuma from sensiblehealth.com. For me it has to be 2 measuring tea spoons of Coptis and 1 measuring tea spoon of Curcuma. I believe everyone has to experiment to find the optimal personal dose. Sometimes it stops working when I used it many days in a row but usually it helps quickly and I can sleep right away. I have done about 10 liver flushes and had the problem before and still have it. It went away temporarily after some of the successfull flushes. Still haven't found a permanent solution but probably will keep on flushing every 4-5 weeks.
If someone knows of a different solution PLEASE post!
