I had been taking Inositiol, 500mg. everyday for the past 3 weeks for helping with depressoion and anxiety, but also feeling worse overall, as into the 2nd-3rd week. Idid some more research on Inositol, side effects and there are plenty.!
It lowers testosterone, androgen, lowers blood pressure and significanly lowers blood glucose.
I beleive this is what my night from hell was and the past 3-5 days getting worse. I've had blood sugars from 130 (with anxiety attack than dropping 40 pt.s in just 2 hours. This has never happened to me. I've been having to eat in the middle of the night, waking up hot and with anxiety, and checking with my monitor, low again.
So anyone taking this already with low BS, stop. I found mounting tests and evidance of this.
I don't know howlong it will take for my insulin to get regulated again. What is said was, Inositil sensitizes insulin. Making it more abundant. It also axts like Niacin in a way, with burning skin, which I've had too.
Paulette ( having another 24 hours of horrible anxiety.)

I honestly don't mean to be rude in suggesting this, but I feel that researching side effects is better done before taking drugs/supplements.

I assume your numbers are in mg/dL. 130 is high.
If you're eating in some way that spikes your blood sugar high, you'll get an attendant insulin spike. And if you're sensitized to insulin, it seems likely your blood sugar will drop fast. Which would make you feel horrible.
Lots of refined carbs? Or a lot of food? Not much fat or protein? Low fiber? Even if you weren't insulin-sensitive, spiking your blood sugar is hard on your system. Part of the way your body compensates for the blood sugar plummeting is by making cortisol to raise blood sugar. Which stresses the adrenals. Which is why all Adrenal Fatigue literature advises us to smooth out our blood sugar curves.

If inositol sensitizes you to insulin, that means it makes you more sensitive to it. Meaning, your body reacts more to insulin. Someone who is more sensitive to insulin will have a bigger blood sugar drop than someone who isn't, if you give them each the same amount.
I did some research just now and it looks like inositol actually reduces the amount of circulating insulin. It does not make it more abundant. In any case, inositol does things that push your blood sugar down. Which is bad news for Adrenal Fatigue sufferers.
Good insight. Yes. I do eat a very well balanced diet, lots of veggies, protein and complex carbs, very very low on any simple carbs and no sugars.
THis has not happened for along time. Usually, if I wake up or can't sleep, I may get a small burst of feeling hot and a moment of anxity, Than I go get a snack ( in the middle of the night)
But, these past few nights, I had terrible shaking, sweating, nausia, all muscles tense, light headed-like delerious, lasting all night long, even after I had something to eat.
This indicates to me, the signals in my brain, don't want to shut off the signal to my adrenals that excelerate the adrenaline. This has been in a hyper state for the past 3 years now. I wonder if PS (Seripros ) would be of benefit for this. I need something to keep those signals from charging, even once the stress has been resolved, they keep firing. And, to don't know if this or Ashwagandha would be of more benefit. I will wait till I can see a new doctor and that will still be another 1-2 months ( need to save up about $300 at least, as naturopaths is't all out of pocket) I know I will need to have the 4 times a day, saliva test on the cortisol too.
Anxiety is the main issue that is preventing my adrenals from healing. I seem to have a low grade of it all the time and stress much more so.
Thanks for your reply. I'm only doing better, because I took a Valium yesterday. My body just would not relax.
