Does anyone have difficulties handling fermented foods such as Apple Cider Vinegar, Kefir, and Saeurkraut? I use ACV sparingly and coconut water kefir often and, though they give me energy and often make me feel good in some ways, they also make me mentally "loopy," which is to say weak, forgetful, racing mind, and cloudy-brained, and even a bit manic. I simply do not feel balanced with them.
I do not believe this is due to Candida or bad bacterial growth and I believe I have pretty much licked my issues with those. I have been taking ACV and kefir for some time and would have noticed an improvement in my ability to handle them. So I am wondering if the acidic medium simply doesn't sit well with my digestive tract and throws off it's "balance" or "ecology." Maybe it just isn't for me.
By the way, might anyone know how to counter this effect?
Kefir gave me huge die off problems in the beginning but then it seemed to do nothing. In other words candida adapted. Maybe it had some effect but I could not pin point any. It didn't seem to be helping the cause and chore of making it was more than it was worth.
If you say you got rid of your candida infection then good for you. However, sounds to me like the kefir is just pissing off the candida. No serious die off just making them spit out their poisons at you.
I really don't think kefir is killing enough candida to cause "die off." I don't mean that in a snitty way. I feel embittered because of my own misery from my intractable case of candida.
I have very obvious symptoms that occur immediately after I eat - uncontrollable burping and bloating. I can tell you vinegar of ANY KIND makes my symptoms go crazy, including ACV, including raw, organic, blah blah blah ACV. I think it itsn't any good.
Milk products also, including yogurt, including plain yogurt, including plain, organic, live-culture yogurt, make me burp and bloat like crazy. It just has too much sugar and that's that. Yogurt's sugar is, um, sugar. Lactose is sugar.
Coconut water has way too much sugar. If I drink it, I burp and bloat like crazy, immediately.
I'll share also that those damn kambucha drinks also are no good for me, and they cause the same thing to happen.
Have you done through cleansing of the digestive track. I Remember many years ago dealing with a similar issue. Always feeling chronically full. I would really try and cleanse and then really do a parasite cleanse and definitely a Liver Cleanse.
