Hi everyone who uses Rife devices!
In a nutshell, I can't get a Rife machine and have found a software programe on the Internet that claims to be a substitute for a physical Rife machine. It uses an audio output of a sound card on your PC/laptop. There are electrodes attached to the output with a cable. I wonder if that would work as it is my only option to start using Rife?
Please let me know if you have had an experience with such software.

Since neither a computer nor a speaker system is designed to provide a safe electrical source for connecting to the body, I would avoid trying either. No one wants to be the news story of being electrocuted by hooking themselves up to a stereo or computer. I also do not think that it is a great honor to win the Darwin Award.
You can easily and cheaply build a manually operated BBBE with 3 batteries, a couple of resistors, and a toggle switch.
There are instructions on the internet for this, as well as for ones with a op-amp output.
Would it be less risky if one uses a laptop/netbook on a battery without being connected to a socket?
I would be grateful if you provide more info or links to those instructions... If possible.
If not, I would just have to take my risks... I can't just sit and do nothing and be scared of everything, life is a gamble...
What if I use an amplifier with a DAC feature to boost my sound card?
How many watts do I need to get a decent output on metal electrodes? Is 2x15W enough?
this is something you might be interested in. It's a combination zapper/rife unit, only cost $100. I would get this myself, but I'm very sensitive to electricity, and I can't really use zappers
I already have one of those... :)
And I am not really satisfied as it is not precise enough and I can't use any of Rife's frequencies with it... Not the best investment, to be honest...
Do you know anything about amplifiers though? Maybe you can help me decide which amplifier I should get to power up my netbook for Rife software?
Not only does it mean you can't select frequencies like 15 Hz, 20 Hz, 40 Hz, etc., but also you can't select frequencies like 0.95 kHz, 5.58 kHz, 495.22 kHz, 824.37 kHz, etc. You can only use the ones like 0.9 kHz, 22.5 kHz, 30.0 kHz, 137.5 kHz, 372.5 kHz, 380.0 kHz, 425.0 kHz, etc.
So for loads of very important frequencies it's useless.

I am not sure how to respond to this. I have built a number of amplifiers over the years for various purposes. A lot depends on what kind of output you need, the signal source, frequencies, and impedances.
I would certainly go for a battery powered amplifier that can output a small signal up to 800 kHz through a 1k ohm resistor. It should also be able to go as low as about 10 Hz. These spec's will make it hard to find.
For square wave frequencies in the range of 10 Hz to 30 kHz, you might be able to modify an old zapper.
Batteries, better safe than the possible alternatives.
I do not have any objection to connecting to the wall as long as it is IEC60601 rated.

Sadly, that will not produce a good square wave. The best amplifier will have a range up to about 800,000 Hz in order to generate the harmonics in a square wave.
If all you need is an audio frequency sine wave then it will be fine.

It depends on the battery voltage, and on the battery charge, and how wet are your hands, and how wet are your electrodes, and if you have cuts on your hands or not.
I have used up to 36VDC with wet electrodes without any side effects. But the high amount of current circulating in the body does not seem to be the key to kill parasites... I have taken up to 11ma of current and the parasites were still moving after the session... Damn it !
In the meantime, I had to do my own research regarding amplifiers and such, since no one here is helping... Well, I have come to conclusion that a decent amplifier is crucial for achieving best signals.
Also seems like there is no need in DAC amplifier (google DAC if you don't know what that means). I also had to learn it.
I am currently thinking of getting a 2x25W TA2021B amplifier. It is quite affordable and should perform fine.
Will try to use my copper electrodes from a frequency generator first, but will probably also get large TENS electrodes as it is easy to connect them to an amplifier. Perhaps, I'll even get two stainless steel sheets 300x200 with alligator plugs and wires... Will see...
