So for a few years I have been struggling with body odour, I have tried many different natural deodorants. I wouldn't want to use anything like anti-per-spirant though. I made a deodorant with 30 drops of tea tree and baking soda. It sort of helped but wore off and i smelt bad again. Then I added approx 30mg of iodine, I spray it on in the morning and this is the only thing that really helps if i apply 2-3 times a day.
I am chelating heavy metals with DMSA and ALA, heavy metal toxicity diagnosed via hair and urine analysis. Have been chelating for around a year. Still getting detox reactions from the DMSA and ALA. After a round of those two things my body odor gets really bad an no kind of deodorant helps!
I also have been supplementing Iodine 150mg for about 4 weeks and have notice that iodine does help to diminish the smell but it also make it worse at times. The iodine gave me diarrhea and intestinal pains and aches, and foul gas and stools for two weeks or so. I took 1 TBS of bentonite/psyllium 2-3 times a day and the diarrhea soon cleared up but the foul smells continued for a little while longer. Now my stools and gas are pretty normal but get smelly sometimes and I still occasionally get the intestinal pains. I am still taking the Bentonite and psyllium.
I am suffering from bad headaches and fatigue. I have had the digestive stool analysis from metametrix and no candida discovered however there was some kind of bacteria/parasite there, but they could not name it. My doctor called it a non-human pathogen, but not sure what that means in terms of treatment.
I am currently taking neem seed extract which I get headaches from if i go above 7 drops (quite a small dosage), I am also taking olive leaf extact 500mg (again a clear die off reaction - headaches etc). I was previously taking black walnut/clove/wormwood tincture and got some die off from that to but had to stop as it got too much to handle. Not sure if its a virus or bacteria/parasites or whatever.....
Maybe the heavy metals are destroying my detoxification ability and just causing things to hang around in the body after they are destroyed rather than being excreted?
When taking Iodine in that amount mentioned it is important to take all the companions. Vit B, C, selenium + magnesium and zinc too. The body odor can also be bromide related, this is where real salt comes in. (the chloride in salt displaces bromide.) Vit B and Zinc helps the digestion too.

This has disappeared completely after iodine therapy for 3 years (very small dosages to begin with, now he is having almost adult dosages at 15 years old) He gets magnesium,vit C and B + iodine / selenium almost every day, zinc once or twice a week (50 mg) The only deodorant he uses is the thaimineral-type + a little essential oil-blend mixed in his roll-on.
Seems like you are trying to many things at once; I have definitely been there too. Simplifying was a great relief for my body.
Other actions that can help is chlorofyll rich superfood like barley grass, spirulina, chlorella or a mix of these, 1-2 teaspoons daily.
I am taking 30mg of zinc a day, along with magnesium approx 400mg a day with some calcium. Also taking 2,500mg vit c, 200mcg selenium and a good quality b complex.
The problem always gets worse with any kind of sugar, I do not eat the slightest amount of fruit because it gets worse the day after....

-seems like it is fermenting instead of being digested then.
This was a big problem for me when I had candida, greatly helped of enzymes, betaine HCL, vit B and zinc.
(mercury etc inhibits enzymes work, so does fluoride),
Your companions-list look good, but it can take quite a while before magnesium and other levels are good, and I would take it without calcium as this is an antigonist to magnesium + often in the wrong form like carbonate, which makes the stomach acid to alkaline and inhibit the uptake.
Took me ages to find out of magnesium; citrate or malate are my preferred form.
It took me months on high dosages of Iodine before the good effects started to show up, so give it some time.
For my son it took some months before the BO started to fade.
Hows your body temperature, fatigue could be hypo T

it is very difficult to take enough Iodine to cause a dysbiosis. i believe i managed to achieve that condition after ten days of 5 grams a day. NOT recommended, but less than that, i didnt encounter a problem.
you are detoxing and balancing halogens. it takes time. i would suggest not trying to detox in other ways at first. i found fasting to be intolerable early in my iodine experience. now, 4 years into it, its a different story.
I would like you to fill in more symptoms of the sugar problem.
As far as I remember, both Iodine and magnesium deficiency have their say in glucose metabolism.
In your case it may be the metabolsim OR simply that your digestion doesnt work properly.
Hows your PUFA /fat intake?

Basically I wake up early morning with hunger and have to eat something before I start feeling dizzy and horrible. Sometimes I get very hungry even after eating a protein and fat heavy meal. But not so much since the Iodine supplementation.
However the waking up at night thing is a real pain, and stops me from getting good sleep. I take 1.5mg of melatonin to help me drift off, without it I have terrible sleep. 3mg I find is too much and makes me drowsy in he morning.
I have been doing magnesium injections for around 2 years, two injections a week 0.5ml. This was to correct a deficiency confirmed via magnesium red cell test.
I take chromium in a general multi vit an B3 is included in this also (for general blood sugar support).
When I eat sugar I get an abrupt surge of energy (even one medium apple) then followed by a slump. Not sure if thats the sugar come down or because fruit is high in potassium therefore I need more sodium from salt. I did a salt push earlier with approx 1/8th tsp salt in approx 500ml water. I repeated this again 2 hours later till I peed a lot. I did actually feel a bit better. I think I will continue with the salt push. I also salt my food 'to taste'.
Sounds like a low blood sugar / adrenal insuffiency to me.
first up imo is a magnesium deficiency; even if taking magnesium like you do; could be that you dont metabolize magnesium properly. Diarrhea that you mention may be the magnesium.

I would triple my boron for a few months, just to balance the magnesium +++; and no Calcium.
Melatonin may be needed for a while yet, but this is something that your body should make easily from tryptophan = serotonin = melatonin, this make me believe that the enzymes in your body dont work properly, as a convertion is needed and enzymes are needed for every one action in the body..

-could be low blood sugar, as if your body doesnt digest / utilize protein and fat properly.
A homeopathic remedy comes to my mind; Sulphur. You may have a look into it.
Hello BA88 and all the well informed ido experts here. This reads like a diet/environment issue and not supplementation to my eyes. (Forgive me or kick me if I have that wrong.)
BA88 can you give an picture of your diet and eating pattern?
Candida is always an issue with Mercury, IMO this gets better when increasing the dosages using the Cutler intervals. I don't see you talk about how many hours you space your chelation at night. With heavy Lyme and Hg toxicity you can be better off increasing your frequency at night. You won't sleep anyhow, at least with the chelation you may get some deep sleep.
Couple of old posts, the last one is why I always rant abou not treating Lyme without Treating Hg but there are more rants like that in the Rife forum history.
not a root fix but at least for me, if I take my 6 caps /day of jarrow milk thistle, it keeps the BO at bay.
there have been times when I stopped the milk thistle and the BO was so bad, nothing touched it, and then back on the Milk thistle and gone in a day or two
limit the fiber in your diet, digestion should be improved. You may have a problem with the distribution of proteins to simple amino acids, which are not used to rebuild the body. Proteins can not be stored, and poisoning the body.
