Candida information please! by  #149857  16 mon  1,076  Ask The Candida Expe Hi Dr. Jeff, Could this picture of a stool sample show candida? This particular sample tested negative for ova or parasites. A different stool sample was sent to metamatrix labs with the result of a parasite (I haven't seen the report so I'm not sure if it was identified) as well as "high yeast", and pancreatic insufficiency. My PCP thought the stool in this image might have been passed tissue or lining of some sort but wanted to test it for parasites to be sure. During the office visit, she also diagnosed me with a yeast infection and possible thrush and prescribed one dose of diflucan. To give a brief background, I've had diarrhea for 9 and 1/2 months and have had many trips to the ER. I'm currently being seen by a GI and treated for pancreatic insufficiency and bile salt diarrea. Sometimes people will pass tissues as a part of their healing process. Finding parasites is not an easy thing to do, so if you tested for them, treat them. Have you used anything for that? Treating the candida to bring overall balance to the intestinal tract is important. I wouldn't recommend drugs for that. Pancreatic insufficiency can be due to low HCL levels in the stomach. That would lead to increased risk of parasites and other flora imbalances. Some bacterial infections can cause chronic diarrhea, but I usually address parasites first with Agrisept-L and Morinda Supreme. Add To Favorites! No, I have not started any treatment for the parasite yet. It was determined to be a parasite of unknown origin. Is metamatrix labs a lab that you recommend? I will have to look up low HCL. Parasites can be hard to find sometimes no matter which lab is used. All lab tests are just indicators and can miss many other findings. Add To Favorites!
