Sounds as though she may have a combination electrolyte and endocrine system issues. The two go together. As a first step I'd look at copper/zinc and then potassium intake. Over 90% of the folk in the usa are chronic hypokalemics. Then I'd recommend a gallbladder/liver flush, just one, the Lahey Clinic type.
Copper/zinc is easy, eat calf liver thrice the first week, then once a week afterwards. Many juices are high in potassium, orange juice, V8 juice, etc. One serving contains typically 500mg, and "potassium supplements" only have tiny amounts, like 20 mg in a pill, are a sham. Her biggest challenge is likely going to be to change lifestyle and not eat foods which contains poisons. There is a chance she is having a sort of allergic reaction to something, something she and everyone else is unaware of. One illustrative example could be if a person were hypersensitive to erucic acid, the small amounts present in "canola" oil could be the culprit, since the presence of canola is ubiquitous in the foods here.
Good for you for your dance to good health! Great that you take the lemon juice too!
For those who might have the powder form of magnesium citrate or not.
My mother-in-law lived to be 94 and she would drink a cup of hot lemon juice every morning.

P.S. As always search the internet to find the best deals.
It probably doesn't make a huge difference for most people but dissolving it first can help some individuals to increase bioavailability and reduce the side effects of intestinal upset, bloating and nausea.
To get it to dissolve more quickly you merely need to add an acid and hot water. The most common acid used for this purpose is Citric Acid which is the same acid that makes lemon juice sour. Add the juice of 1/2 lemon to your Citric Acid dose in hot water it is should dissolve within a few minutes. If you don't add hot water or lemon juice it may still dissolve with the low pH of your stomach when taken with a major meal. http://support.purebulk.com/help/kb/product-usage/do-i-need-to-dissolve-magnesium-citrate-powder-into-a-liquid-for-it-to-be-absorbed-by-the-body
You might think about getting D3, start with 2000 iu's and build up to 5000 iu's at night only. I lost several pounds from taking it and it was the only thing that lowered my triglycerides. (spring valley brand at walmart)
Then there is K2 MK4 but that's a subject for another day!
I keep hearing contradicting info about vitamin d. I used to take it, then i stopped.
Even in the midst of fibro amd fatigue, I stayed in decent shape (to the eye). I am 5'3" and was 130 but it was muscle. I am very solid and told I look thinner than i am. I guess it's the muscle. Anyhow, I gained 20 after switching birth controls and was having a hell of a hard time losing. It was initally 10, then another 5, and then another 5. I was so mad! lol. I take pride in apperance and this was cramping my style hard! So it isn't that I am grossly overweight. I still look pretty good but I felt like total crap and feel much better at 130. My clothes appreciate not being stretched to oblivion as well. ;)
One of my magnesium supps is a combo of zinc and mag - I forgot to mention that. I haven’t taken any supplemental potassium or copper. Maybe I will look into it…as well as the flushes. Electrolyte imbalance makes sense to me, actually, in regard to spasms. I can’t be dehydrated because I drink water like crazy but it would make sense that my muscles were not getting enuf “juice” and oxygen. That’s what it feels like.
Also, as I am re-reading my post, I notice that there is a recent update. This "bio" was a copy and paste from last week where I was building my story before posting. I lost 2 lbs Friday night, woke up on Saturday morning with another two pounds gone and then Sunday the same. So total of 6 pounds in one weekend, not really eating differently. We actually went out to eat Friday night. I had lots of squash cooked in olive oil and steak medallions and potato wedges in gorgonzola cheese. I even had a piece of fudge cake.
Anyone know why I still have a hard time breathing? It has gotten better but is still labored at times when it should never be. I don’t smoke and haven’t in 7 yrs. I hardly drink. I had this symptom before but for a very short month maybe..and back in 2005. This time, it has lasted a good 6 months, only getting a little better since iodine. I DO know we have a mold issue. Not sure what kind and how much but u can def smell it. I have lived here for 3 yrs now tho. Would mold just now be working on my lungs? And if so, will Iodine help?
One more thing – please forgive my typos! I added to my post in a hurry as I am at work and got super busy.
I have lots to say on mold, but I have not started Iodine myself, so I can't say if it helps or not. I really really pray it helps.
With regards to mold. The most respected mold doctor is called Dr Shoemaker, and he believes that Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is caused by mold. As do most mold people. 99% of doctors know nothing about mold so they wouldnt have helped you diagnose this.
Basically when people get messed up from mold the #1 thing is that dead tiredness, and I read your post and can relate to a lot of it. Fibro, and shortness of breath ARE super common symptoms of mold. Ill list some other common ones you didn't list to see if they ring any bells. Brain fog (attention span/memory/ability to do math all depleted). Heart palpitations/pain, Fighting falling to the floor often, some get hardcore cramping muscles, there are really so many symptoms of mold because it gets into all our bodies organs.
Even though everyone who lives in your home or works where your work...wherever the mold started) isn't sick like you means nothing. 25% of the population genetically cannot make antibodies to mold, and these are the people who get super crazy ill while others in the house/building do not. I really think you should be looking into this mold stuff. I can give you the mold groups I am apart of that you can talk with a whole bunch of people who are mold ill. Is being outside for long periods of time for you much much better than being inside?
I havent splurged everything out here because I dont want to scare you as mold has some very bad consequences on the lives of those who are toxic mold ill, but if you have any questions about mold please ask, I will happily tell you anything I know.
By the way your message saying how improved you are on 2 weeks of Iodine makes me soooo happy, gives me needed hope, so thank you!
Also the eating carbs/sugars also sounds like candida which mold will often give you as well as mycotoxins in the body. Mold gives people allergies out of the blue and a common result is mold people get celiac disease. And a hypersensitivity to mold, think bout if some places make you more ill than others... also if its mold than your clothes among other things are contaminated which makes it hard sometimes to know for sure if its the place or if its what your wearing.
I also fade behind the wheel, as my car is contaminated...
For working out try a lengthy one outside (unless you have winter as I do) because that goes a long way.
Arcell, not sure where u are but I'm in VA. We have all foru seasons here in Hampton Roads and winter can be harsh. Right now is not so bad tho. I have begun wheezing whereas I had never had any breathing problem except for that stint back in 2005. Seems worse when I gain a litle weight too.
that is the onet hing that i cannot pinpoint because I always felt the same whether I was in the house or not and my symptoms have been the same for 6 or 7 years but the worst in the past 3 or so. Could it be that i had something but the mold irritated it even more?
Hey, i wish I knew the answer to that question, but thats something Im unaware of. I do know that mold people often get worse and worse as mold exposure supposedly hits us worse over time.
I know that if it is toxic mold your clothes are contaminated, and your of course wearing your clothes wherever you are, as well as the serious ill ones have something wrong in them (as mentioned it can be candida, or worse mycotoxins)... some of the mold ill people move to pristine (I learned this word from mold folk, basically more nature-eque ) environments to go hardcore mold avoidance and they improve a lot, but remain ill (however way better than before).
Let me know though if you believe it may be mold or not, because I am happy to assisst or pass you along to other groups that may have something to help you. If you have Facebook you could type in Faces of Toxic Mold or Surviving mold and they would have many of people who may be able to give you peace of mind as to whether you are mold ill or not... or your own intuition may very well know best.
But I know I said this but I would seriously look into if its mold or not. The warnings I got from your post was the fibro, dead tiredness, and the long duration (7 years). You also pointed out that you have mold so if your not apart of the 75% than the mold is affecting you greatly, and toxic mold is very common, but the government/doctors would love to hide this.
Your improvements though are incredible!!! Do you think your almost as good as before you got ill?
Marcell, actually, I was just wondering if either my increasing dose is giving me detox symptoms very similar to my fibro/fatigue as I am dead tired these lat couple of days but have gone up from about 45mg to 62.5mg quickly. Would this be causing me to be so tired? Hopefully this is not too much info but my cycle is due in a day or two. Could it be that?
I am just so scared to go back to my old self that I'd do anything to prevent that. Yesterday happened to be very muggy here too but it wasn't the 1st day since i started Iodine that it has been this way.
Is my iodine not woring? Can it be contaminated? I take it to work with me and then back home (I had ordered more to eliminate the traveling with it but my husband has taken that one to work! so now I need to order more. I notice that the longer I use it, the more "stuff" is floating around. What is the stuff? Is this what magnets are for?
Unfortunately I myself do not know about the Iodine detox symptoms or how stuff are floating around in it, because I haven't taken iodine myself yet. I'm hoping to order it today, and hope to find out if it helps with mold illness.
I do know that there are definitely a lot of strong detox reactions though from reading on this board so for sure it could be detox signs. Other people who've taken iodine on this board should know though, so hopefully they read this or just post a topic asking about the detox. I am not sure also if you've increased it too fast, but my guess is that its fine, because I think its common fro people to start at at least 50mgs/day. Im gonna try 100 because I can't wait ha. But definitely there are detox signs.
Wish I could help you more but its really only mold that I know much about. So hopefully some other people can let you know if your cycle can make this impact.
I right away would tell anyone thats living with mold to get the heck out and do it smart (dont cross contaminate your new place). But that whole moving into a new place/avoiding cross contamination is a whole separate issue which is a pain in itself. I'm in no way trying to scare anyone but they have to know that mold is basically deadly to 25% of the population.
As young as you are I would guess that you have issues related to the vitamins and minerals.
I have had two heart attacks. One at 45 the other at 49.
I have never drank or smoked. (I should have drank like a fish through the years; less anxiety!
My cholesterol was 165 on first heart attack 156 on the second. I had complete physicals, weeks before each heart attack including an echocardiogram performed while I was on the treadmill right before the second heart attack.
