I need your opinion. by  ZlatinValchev  15 mon  331  Chelation: Cutler / Chelation I have an extreme need to take 20-30 mg of ALA, not more. The kirkman 25mg ALA is perfect dose for me but I don't have enough money to buy in long term(15$ - 90caps). I found another solution but need your opinion. I just want to hear what do you think about this. Do you know someone that use a similar method with jewelry scale to make low doses for chelation? I purchased a similar scale but only accurate to .01g. A capsule containing 25mg ALA will have lots of filler bringing the total powder to over 100mg. So getting the capsules to within .01g seems reasonable. Also I've found that when I split the capsule by eye, I generally get the dose to within +/-.01g. It gets tricky for those who have to get down to 5mg or less, for example for the autistic kids. A company that caters to those kids has 5mg capsules of ALA everythingspectrum.com Also the folks who host the hair tests have low dose caps http://livingnetwork.co.za/chelationnetwork/hairtest/hairtest3/ Cutler says that when you double the dose you don't double the excretion of Hg. So cutting the dose in half will not slow your recovery very much. There is possibility to measure more filler than ALA then more ALA and less filler. I think that only pure ALA powder can be precisely measured. It should be well mixed by the manufacturer. A mild, dull headache is my indication that I need to take doses more frequently. I have symptoms of reactive hypoglycemia and need to eat and take other medicines more frequently in order to get a stable effect.
