I have been on candida cleanse for a few weeks now, eating 99.9% of only vegetables, some nuts and seeds and all the good oils, such as linseed, virgin olive oil etc. Plus doing enemas on a daily basis, taking loads of supplements and herbs. In other words, doing everything what's possible to get rid of the yeast that have been tormenting me for the past two or three years.
My question is.. what could trigger my belly to get bigger as opposed to smaller with all the cleanse that is going on? Definitely not pregnant, so it's probably gases (I am bloated sometimes), but most of the time it does not feel like gases, just like my intestines got bigger or something and possibly more fat on my belly as well.
Am I consuming too much fat? Could this be triggered by almonds or pumpkin seeds? Or maybe by some of the supplements that I'm taking?
Worms. I found mine by eating raw garic and onion for a few days, recommended to me by an ND for stomach bloat. I looked 12 mos pregnant. Raw garlic will help with bloat, relieve the gas, and help to find parasites if you have them. It takes a few days, and you have to sift through your stool to see them.
2-4 cloves, several times daily while maintaining the diet you are currently on would probably work great.
Please note that nuts (and I believe seeds as well) are not on the anti-candida diet because they attract mold, and mold feeds the yeast.
I noticed that mostly following the diet while sometimes or often cheating on it can actually make a person feel worse and increase some symptoms compared with not following it at all. I'm not sure why, but perhaps the yeast stops getting enough food, so it starts overreacting when it does. This could be the cause of your belly getting bigger.
To test this idea you could try avoiding nuts, seeds and any other controversial foods on the diet (carrots, for example). Do this for a week and see how you feel.
yes... you're probably right regarding nuts and seeds, I should eliminate them completely, it's just I found it really hard to only live on vegetables! So I soak my almonds and only eat organic pumpkin seeds, nothing else..
I had the same problem and only way I got rid of it was to cut out all fats. Dont know if its a liver thing or candida - probably the combination of both makes eating fat impossible for me. Not saying you should cut out all fats but it worked for me. Dont think I was digesting them too well or maybe they fed the candida either way my stomach feels better (and so do I) without fats (that includes healthy fats like nuts seeds etc).
Yes it could be anything you've listed. Be careful with the enemas...I would stop them completely. They disrupt the good flora as well which is your body's natural defense of getting rid of the candida.
What supplements are you taking and how long have you been on this diet.
Nuts and seeds are pretty hard on the digestive system...I would eliminate those as mucha as I could as well.
I've been on this diet for 3 months now, since the new year. Did a 5 day vegetable juice cleanse and then got on to the candida diet.
But recently I lost my motivation completely and cheated a few times. Cannot find motivation to get back on!
I think I should just stop moaning and do what I need to do, but it is very very hard to stay on the diet while seeing no results whatsoever!
Was taking multimineral complex, B vit complex, magnesium, vit e, vit c, digestives, probiotics, for a course. Now I only take magnesium with B6, digestive enzymes and probiotics.
Hi,
I am having the same issue, seems like my belly is not getting better/flatter at all.
I do fear that it is the nuts i am eating although my dietitian keeps telling me nuts are FINE.
I over-eat brazil nuts and almonds since they are my only "snack" but I seem to be downing them even when i am not completely hungry.
Otherwise I am on all the enzymes, probiotics, etc, I only eat leafy greens and meat,/fish and pea protein powder. - I do eat ALOT of meat to get all the protein I need to fill me up. I try only to eat grass fed/ and organic free range,/wild but sometimes this is hard when eating out.
If we need to cut out nuts, does that mean ALMOND MILK as well ?
Have you had any improvements since your first postings?
