If you were planning on doing 7 days of water fasting and a 7 day detox like Bernard Jensen 's Bowel Cleansing protocol (psyllium husk and Bentonite shakes alternated with supplements), which would you do first...the 7 day water fast or the bowel cleanse??
Any advice that ya'll can give me would be greatly appreciated!
First I would forget the 7 day water fast. It too rough for a beginner. Second I suggest that you check your diet and make sure it is clean, void of chemicals and other pollutants. Third check your life style, do you get enough sleep, say eighth hours a night, that you eat meals at a regular time daily, etc.
After all this then I suggest a 7 day bowel cleanse by Dr. Jensen.
I am not a "beginner", per se. I have done 21 day juice fasts and The Master Cleanse multiple times. I have checked my diet and it is clean (no grains, no processed foods). So, that being said....would you do the water fast first or the bowel cleanse?
and thank you for replying! I have had posts similar to this one in multiple forums for DAYS, and you are the first and only person to try and help me out! :)
If your diet is clean and you are getting enough rest and exercise, then I would definitely do the bowel cleanse first then rest for a while and then consider doing the 7 day water fast.
I would do the bowel cleans then start my water fast. I wouldn't take any supplements. Your liver will be working hard enough you don't want to overload it. If you are going to take supplements take them before you fast.
There are virtually no syndromes and/or diseases that are not reversible. If you are interested in taking control of your own health [and I sincerely hope you are], the following will give you all the information you need:
Any of the discourses by Luigi Cornaro (available free online);
Any of the books by Horace Fletcher (available free online);
Any of the writings of Arnold Ehret.
Just like virtually everything else in life, it is all ultimately up to YOU.
You have all my best wishes for a successful journey and resolution,
