Ok so I've had this phobia of smelling bad for 6 yrs. Recently I started to go out and these are the reactions I'm getting.
When people even children walk pass me they dont do or say a thing.
One day my 7 yr old neice came over and I hadn't taken a bath yet. She rested her head on my lap to play with the dog. Left it there for a little while and didn't say a thing.
Whenever people come over and see me(they havent seen me in a while) they give me a big hug. For a long time. They dont look away or cough.
But people do look at me( just men) and they stare.
Everyone tells me I dont smell and they try to relate my smell to a loved one. Like my brother came over and he said his girl has a vaginal and underarm odor. Then I asked him to describe how she smells and he said natural like juice and berries.
What would you think of that? Do I smell or not. No one has ever said I smell but I fear about it.

Chances are if noone has told you you smell you probably don't. Sure some ppl lie to spare your feelings if you ask them but as ppl with body or breath odor have found there's usually one genius who will tell you. This could be psychological and maybe you could benefit from talking to a professional about some anxieties you're having no offense. Trust me if you had body odor you would know it.
i just dont get it who in they right mind would want to think they stink and they dont and thin you have people that do stink and is very very clean and they life ia made a living hell from people that dont care about their feeling and im not leaving out the people that dont know the meaning of soap and water and know one say a thing to them . when you stink people have no problem letting you know you stink even if it is behind your back or a caugh or a look or a smerk, or a laugh, or even this one she stinks like sht " if you are not dealing with none of these saying you dont stink! go live a good life because alot of us that do would love to trade places with you right now we that do stink live indoors most of the time we go just to the places we have to like work and the doctors and dentest , enjoy the life that god has blessed you with because you could be me 7 years and still stinking

Godseeker30 here. Heya :D How ya doing? I hope your week is going okay :) Someone, who's a friend of mine, mentioned to me, that she tried these Liver Pills for 3 weeks and noticed a huge change, in the reduction to her fecal body odour symptoms. It's a product called Himalaya Herbal Health Care and the pills she took was called Liver Care. And this friend of mine, said she border lined TMAU, so could be that maybe we haven't done enough things, to clean out our livers properly???? Idk, just hypothesizing at this point right now. I've decided to order, what my friend has suggested, purely based on a hunch, praying that it helps me, as I've tried everything else on this forum over the years and it hasn't worked, so here's hoping this helps after taking it for 3 weeks as it did help my friend :D Other than that, I don't honestly know what else to suggest, at this present moment lol. I've been doing okay :) I am just learning to lean on God everyday for strength and help, as dealing with this physical affliction, is defintely no walk in the park, that's for sure lol. Generally speaking, whenever I have to go out somewhere, or am looking for work, or even going back to church, I have to ask God's Holy Spirit, to give the added strength and courage, to face my aggressors, or those who would wish me harm. Just praying this, is what I've found has really helped me, through difficult times:) I pray and hope, that God helps you as well, through these hard, challenging times ahead:) May you have a blessed week ahead :)
I didnt mean to upset anyone. Its just that I have been struggling with the thought that I may smell for 6 yrs. I was diagnosed with somatic delusions. Believing that I emit a foul odor when I dont. I just needed some reassurance from real sufferers. This isnt a joke this is my life. I thank god I'm not a real sufferer. And I would never make fun of any of you.
Even though I dont get the reactions you all get I still have the thought in the back of my mind. I hope I get over this. I'vec tried to kill myself many times because of this thought. Its not as bad as actually having the disorder but its bad. Since I've been coming out of my room I've gotten nothing but a warm reception. I need to just remember that and stop living in the fantacy of what could happen.
From what you described, I don't think you have an issue with the odor. I used to think it was in my head beacuse I have anxiety and OCD, but I have heard comments behind my back. If you start hearing people making comments, that would be different.
I understand what you are saying. The life of a person that has fecal body odor HARD if it want for God theirs no telling where i would be .I wish i could go to church, to the market, to places you can go to and we cant with out flack.im going to say it again go live your life read your BIBLE that is healing for your mind and if i hurt your feelings i did not mean too im frustrated! because i dont have the answer to my problem 7 years of my life has passed me by and i might not be able to see my twins graduate but im not going to quit trying to find out what will work for me
I wish all I had was a phobia. You could probably speak with your GP re the anxiety your experiencing, they may or may not prescribe something and you'll be fine.
People who truly suffer with these disorders...there life is a living hell day in and day out. Let me tell you you would not want a life like this in the least. There are some days where I know I'm treated worse than an animal by people. Its an unbearable existence, like a nightmare you never awake from. Like Cupid said, go live your life, and try not to think about having a problem like this.
What would like to say is even though those that do smell WE ARE BLESSED BECAUSE WE ARE NOT DIEING AND ALL OUR TEST KEEP COMING BACK PERFECT WE HAVE EYE SIGHT AND THE USE OF OUR BODY PARTS SOMEBODY SOME WHERE ELSE WOULD LOVE TO TRADE PLACES WITH US AND THOSE THAT KEEP PRAYIN AND STANDING YOU ARE STRONG AND YOU ARE BEING BUILT FOR SOMETHING GREAT GOD IS NOT GOING TO LEAVE US LIKE THIS I DONT CARE HOW LONG WE HAVE DEALT WITH THIS GOD IS BIGGER THIN THIS

Ryan Annunziello here. Amen, to what you were saying in your message:D I wholeheartedly agree with ya!! God's word doesn't return void to us and I know, that those of us, who rely on Christ as our Source of Strength, will get through this, even though it won't be easy, God's word clearly states with God all things are possible, so I believe for those of us who are born again Christians here on this site, we need to start claiming God's promises in His word!!! Ryan Annunziello here. I just finished reading your earlier post and wanted to challenge you to do something for me:) I wanted to challenge you, to get back into church!! I know, your probably thinking I'm crazy, but I like you, probably have this same situation, however, I've through the grace and strength of God, been able to get myself outta bed on Sunday morning and get my butt into church, even though believe me, it was easy!!! I wanted to encourage ya, to do the same or atleast try too!! I'm not saying it will be easy, but we all have the same rights as other Christians who do not smell, to be in church, as much as the next person, so I'm asking you to give it a shot:) Pray and ask God, what He wants you to learn or hear from Him and go from there:) Okay hope this helps:) Take care and God bless.
Just Call me Chicken! but what i will do is go to prayer service it's on Wednesday night and my job shift will change as Monday for two weeks Sunday would be too much for me . Have you ever seen that movie the runaway Bride i got her beat i have roller skates on !
