I'm getting my Amalgams out over the new few weeks. How soon after do I want to start the DMSA? I was thinking of just doing glutithione for several weeks before I bring out the big guns.
Typically those doing the Cutler Protocol wait several days. They take lots of antioxidants--C E, Se etc.
Cutler has mixed feelings about glutathione, but mostly suggests that people increase their glutathione in other ways--too much to post here but it is in his writings.
If you are getting them done by a mercury free dentist, you'll probably be just fine. We don't hear of too many problems about those dentists. A few get rather fast relief of some symptoms, but most need to chelate for 1+ yr.
Yes he is Huggins protocol and has been a mercury free dentist for over 30 years, not just jumping on the bandwagon to make a quick buck.
Right now I'm on Iodine therapy and taking the sups for that: C,D,E,selinium, zinc, mag, celtic salt water for hydration so my immune system should be in good shape to tolerate the removals.
I have 2 separate appointments for removal, so I'll probably go on how I feel to start rounds.
Right now I'm also setting an alarm on my phone and getting in the routine of waking up for the night time round so I don't botch it up.
Can't do that b/c C deactivates the Iodine that I take on empty stomach 3 times a day. I take all the sups at lunch and they usually make me queasy even with food (probably the zinc).
I am very serious about chelating metals safely! I have no health care (don't want it) and my 2 year old depends on me being able to perform and keep my job. I have read too many stories of those that have put themselves out of commission for years by playing around with this.
I give a thumbs up for Lugol's solution iodine (5%). Immediate results for me in energy and mental clarity with no uncomfortable side effects (for me at least). I highly recommend it.
Be careful. People who have a heavy metal problem almost always have low glutathione and and oxidative stress problems.
On top of thaw we kick up (mobilize) more heavy metals as a part of the chelation process. We need something to offset the oxidative stress. http://mercuryandmore.weebly.com/methylation-figure.html
It is rare to hear from folks who need huge doses of Iodine and I'm a little suspicious of the few who report it. It is always a challenge to determine who is real and who is an infomercial or worse.
