OK - so I just bought an enema kit and some organic coffee. I want to do daily enemas because the more I read about it, the more I think it will help my liver and really clean out my colon and keep things moving.
This is the one I bought. I got it cheaper near my house.
I want to keep stuff super clean!
Also, I got a hold of doctor near me who works with ARL!!!!!!!!!!! 2 weeks for test to return!!!!!
(I just read that daily coffee enemas can be bad for adrenals? :( I can't catch a break! LOL! But it sounds like you don't get the coffee high, but it cleans you out big time and helps the liver big time! I really want to do this daily - any other options?)
Thanks. I have this pain on top of my belly button when I press down. As if something is stuck. I go to the bathroom but still feel like I'm really backed up because of my high meat diet. I think this is stressing my liver out. I just lay on the floor and totally feel the pain in my belly button. This is where the colon is. Hoping the enema will help clean me out. Is there anything else I can take to clean out my bowels?
I have to give one a try. I feel like my body is trying to detox. Itch, headache, sometimes I have these little spots on my stomach...rash like....its all signs that my body is trying to expel toxins FAST! Today I went number 2 and it had these black dots / spots which I read can be either iron, bacteria OR candida coming out. I feel like my liver is taking a beating of a lifetime right now. I'm drinking dandeloine root tea and taking Gaia liver support with licorice and Milk thrist.
I read the entire thing from Doctor Wilson and Dr. Gerson used it on cancer patients who I'm sure were suffering a lot worse then some of us and he swears by it.
I just feel like I need to clean my colon and push as much toxins out as possible. Ever since I started taking Garlic, Grapefruit extract, and adding the OOO I've been getting these headaches which to me is a clear sign that my body is trying to cleanse.
I also made an appointment to get my ARL done AND will be seeing an Endo.
BTW - i rubbed OOO on my foot and I could feel the oil travel around my body and taste it in my mouth! Crazy!
Stimulants are bad for "Adrenal Fatigue". Sure, they make you feel good. Briefly.
Rectal absorption of coffee is still absorption of coffee, as far as I can tell. I have yet to see someone contest this and provide supporting evidence.
Thanks, Feo for the report. I can theorize all day, but seeing actual effects really helps to materialize a more complete picture.
Here's some more theorizing: Maybe going through the hepatic portal system and going directly to the liver actually does something. The metabolizing to paraxanthine, even if paraxanthine is equipotent to caffeine, could still reduce the adrenal load this way: Normally caffeine first runs around your system exciting you, then it gets metabolized to paraxanthine, which still excites you, then it gets metabolized to less exciting stuff. If caffeine has to go through the liver with coffee enemas, then it may be mostly or largely metabolized to paraxanthine, instead of letting caffeine sit around for a while, thereby skipping a step. That is, the caffeine-as-caffeine phase is shorter or skipped. Reducing the overall time with stimulating substance in the body to mainly the time with paraxanthine, not the standard time with first caffeine then paraxanthine.
So there, if any coffee enema believers want speculation on how coffee enemas might not be as stimulating as one would expect.
But why even bother with any time with caffeine or exciting metabolites of any kind in the body when the effects of a coffee enema are said to be from the palmitic acid?
Maybe as Feo suggests, try decaf. Opt for a low caffeine strain of plant in the first place, get a decaf version of the beans, and dilute it well (as is the protocol for coffee enemas). If you're attached to doing coffee.
Here's another idea: Palmitic acid enemas. Just find a non-stimulating source of palmitic acid. Like maybe palm oil. But I would recommend you dilute it a lot.
I am also doing NB and am supposed to be doing them daily. I don't have time to do them in the morning and wondered if daily is a bit excessive so I do them 2-3 days a week and feel fine. I do think they help and I don't feel I am absorbing caffeine since I retain it for 15 min or less and don't feel wired. I just did one today after work for the first time instead of the morning since I seemed to need help releasing toxins. I will be interested to see if it affects my sleep since some people say the caffeine can get absorbed.
I will say go slow at first and use only 1-2 teaspoons per cup to start and build slowly. The first few times I did them, I felt really sick and weak for a few hours afterwards. Then I tried to up the amount of coffee too fast and had the same reaction. Now I usually feel good afterwards.
