This morning I was nearing page 108 in the final edit of the 2012 BOOK based on the 2011 amish newsletters. I got this IDEAL!
My favorite medical author COLOR CODED each of his books! The most famous number of the universe is 108!
Based on those TWO things "I" Like, I have decided for now, to make my book, 108 pages per VOLUME! So each Volume will start out as page 1 and end up as page 108 and each cover, a differant color of the rainbow!
So in this theory, Volume One will be finished in an hour or so of final edit and I need to find a few more pictures and then it will be ready.
At this point in time and I am looking at paper copy and dvd copy sent in the mail. A paper copy pretty much means I have to print them myself because of the color pictures, or make a cheaper version in black & white. So far, all of the local printers within 50 miles all seem to believe if you have 1 color picture within a book, they want $1.00+ per page to print, some wanting upwards of $2.00 per page...which is so retarded, but when you suggest to them, "WHY" charge so much, ESPECIALLY when only a few pages are color and all the rest BLACK & WHITE; for the past 15 years the printers look at me STUPID and just say that is their price; because they hit the color button, so 1 page can have a color picture and once they touch their color button, every page gets charged the same.......
In the past 15 years, I have not found one person in the printing business that seems to understand any thing...they seem to be brain dead from sucking up a lifetime of toxic chemicals.
One ot the largest printers in the area wanted $2.00 per page to print the amish healers burn phamplet, I asked for a price for 1,500 copies and they wanted $2.00 per page, making each tiny phamplet cost over $12.00 each. The Old Amish fellow laughed and went to one of his amish printers in PA and had his phamplet not only printed in color, but all glossy paper and then sent it to amish people post paid for $3.00. We contacted the same amish printer 2 years later about printing the 2011 newsletters and because we are not amish, not in their "brotherhood", they quoted the same retarded pricing as all the local printers....
SO computer website is PERFECT for such color projects, but the moment you put anything in a pdf or word file on any computer in the world, 1 person with access takes it and spreads it to all his buddies and their buddies spread it to their buddies and within hours it can be around the earth and then people in placed like thailand print such books and sell them....and naturally, all of the creeps can enter into such a file, make changes, add cuss words, etc, and destroy a book and pass it on stating how evil that author is in an attempt to destroy the work of the author...
SO, the only fool proof method is PAPER ONLY, because most of the CREEPS are too lazy to take paper and turn into computer files...
With all amish, it will be paper copies only and naturally they want it "FREE" like everyone else does in this world.
So the next hurdle will be to see what it takes to put to paper. I know the HUGE dr. mom book cost about $6.00 to have printed, but the printer is in Utah and mos likely the school of natural healing who prints their own books. I know Dr. Hulda Clark owned her own printing and would print outside books to make extra $$$ and the one problem with west cost printing, is shipping expense!
All accounted for, this is why we pretty much printed our own papers over the years and hand printing cost a fortune because they can ask $75.00 for 1 small print cartrage or $150.00 for 1 of 5 large cartidges in a lazer printer.....
ALSO with suppling anything digital, the moment yu put it on the internet, big brother has a copy...because hundreds of thousands of worthless government employees have nothing better than to do but "spy" on all humans on earth via electronics......while paper is the most "secure".
Hard Back is the way to go! A REAL BOOK needs to be in HARD BACK, period.
MH, google "self-publishing" and readReadREAD. My cousin wrote a book and did the self-publishing thing and would do it that way again. A self-educated, self-experimenter should be a self-publisher??
Cost of Printing is determined by who you choose to print what you write, I can't possibly see why I would need to "read" about how others choose to write their books; because all it boils down to is; "who" you can find to print and most important; who you can find to bind paper into a book, because in my area, they really do not exist.
THAT is why so many spend $$$ to buy their own printers and their own binding machines.
MH, might be worth buying a used heavy duty copy machine, and making your own at home. Use a color laser for the color picture which would get inserted by hand. Some books have a bunch of color pages/pics in the centre which could easily be self inserted.
PZChuckle is bang on the mark here. Self Publish!
Plenty of books written on the subject.
Your word really needs to be gotten out there, even if not appreciated by all.
Another thought is to contact Health Research Books. They may know of a cheap way to publish.
Or perhaps the Amish in your area would charge you less, if you tell them how many people you have helped and given free herbs to. Or maybe you could trade printing services with the Amish for Dewormer and other herbs.
If you notice, she uses the cheapest / poorest binding / paper and for the most part, they never use a word file and do nothing more that chop books part and picture print, which is sloppy and I have gotten books from her missing pages, etc......and all the books I have ever gotten have always been black and white.
To print a book of any size that is "bound" with paper or hard back, is no easy deal and color makes them see $$$$$$ signs as they think a color picture is worth $1.00+ per 1 side of paper.
A good quality color book, hard bound with slick paper are what real books should be and many exist for around $45.00+ and no doubt printed in huge quanities by the largest book companies.
To print a small none commercial book restricts a person to the small time printers or do it your self.
"self-publish" sounds like something for "public" authors seeking to sell their books to the public, which is about the opposite of what I would ever want to try to do!
David Christopher teaches that if you want your own book, you print it your self, otherwise the printing companies will ONLY print your book "IF" you GIVE ALL RIGHTS TO THEM: FIRST and "if" the company decides your book is not for them, you loose your book, because the book belongs to the company....that is why Christopher, Clark and many of them had to buy their own machines, of which I checked into years ago and not "feasable" to do as it cost alot of $$$$ and takes alot of work, not to mention the toxic ink fumes.
About the only option is to pay the small time printers that do have binding equipment, which then makes your book so expensive at cost that no one would buy it; unless you go black and white and pay by the page and pay binding fees and then huge shipping cost, because 1,000+ books weight alot #####
Paper SUCKS, but the internet thieves/vandals are worse option.
I just want to add that If you sacrifice quality for low pricing,, a lot more of us will be able to afford to buy the books.... I know it's a tough decision; I love a high quality book and very few are made that way anymore.
But personally, I'd be happy to read what you have to say, even if it's cheaply bound and has no color pictures....
Can't wait! I still have the original Book #1 you printed and spiral bound, and sent to me years ago (with the study guide of course).
I do love having a hard copy of a book! My School Book #1 has been well loved and read over and over (plus lots of notes and highlights), I feel likes its all new, every time I read it! I understand so much more each year, as I learn and self apply!
Thank you MH, you desire to help others, and share your knowledge has saved my life, and those of my family over and over, these past years!
Many blessings to you
