The slow, gradual improvement continues. I noticed side effects increasing (and my slow, gradual weight loss coming to a complete halt) when I stopped taking Algin for a few weeks, so I readded that particular supplement back. I now take it once a day, at least 1 hour after eating and 1 hour before eating, or during my "on round days", at least 1 hour after taking ALA and 1 hour before taking it.
I think Algin does make a difference, so maybe you guys could look into it? It does seem to reduce my hunger a bit, more on some days than others, and I do have more energy. These things are noticeable, if not huge. And it also seems to reduce ALA side effects.
I'm keeping dose in line with side effects - if I'm barely getting any, time to increase it next time. That's how I operated when I was on 12mg, 15mg, 30mg and now 40mg.
I don't have any signs of adrenal fatigue, which some warned might occur if I increased my dose too much, but I'll keep on the lookout for any problems getting worse.
Right now, the main improvements that I can notice are sloooow weight loss, and improved energy.
I'll see how this goes. Anyone have any suggestions for additional things I should do? (I also take milk thistle every day with breakfast, as well as zinc and selenium)
If a sauna isn't easily available, you could do something like I do. I sit naked in front of a space heater on full power until I sweat. Then, I either shower off or take a hot bath. I keep my top half out of the bath water until I start sweating. Then I shower off afterwards.
Yeah, Algin is apparently another name for Sodium Alginate. I've definitely been having better experiences when taking it versus when not taking it. It seems to help me lose weight a bit, even when I eat MORE. (I can definitely feel my pants/shorts getting looser, however slowly) It also reduces side effects from taking ALA.
I started on it because the other things I tried did nothing, or nothing I could notice at least.
So, 9 months after I took my Amalgams out, I decided "I should seriously give this Cutler protocol a try", and I did. 15mg every 3 hours (3-4 at night), and while I felt worse for a few weeks, I began to have more energy and slooowly lose weight as well, and I started going for frequent walks. I sometimes eat more food on weekends and STILL lose weight and have a lot of energy. So, this is the only thing that seems to be working.
I wish you luck as well. You may want to lower your dose if side effects get too bad, considering I started with 12mg and had to work my way up to 15 and then 20, then 30 and only now 40. But I'll tell you this - you WILL notice a difference. Just do the protocol correctly even if it means having to wake up late at night.
Every 3 hours is recommended, but you can switch to 4 overnight. It takes some getting used to, but getting up in the middle of the night to take a chelator isn't as bad as it seems.
Well, finally after some extensive reading of this board and others I have decided to start with DMSA one month, that will be like 5 rounds. Depending on the effects that I have with this I will keep on it or I will switch to DMPS if I can have access to it, obviously. Then I will consider adding ALA or waiting maybe one month more, but probably not cuz I have almost 21 years and I want to regain erections and a normal body without excessive estrogen and beat anhedonia, depersonliztion, negativity, addisons, leaky gut, weakness, insomnia and all that f***ING SH¡T.
