My symptoms are undigested food which causes bloating/gas, inflammation, and slight amounts of blood in stool every couple day. Worst of it is the gas that seems to occur in the late afternoon/evening having me go to the bathroom 5-10x per afternoon/evening due to flem/intestinal lining mixed in with the gas.
My lab test show about 3 'bad bacteria' over growth, one really over growth, and low pancreatic elastase which could just be from the stress or normal. I kicked Candida during 2011, but didn't have it "very bad" as it seems some here do. (I have had a very strict diet with some bad days since mid 2011 though too, and my very strict is probably what most consider impossible for some here as it sounds like a lot of people don't want to give up things they like.)
I`m on a very strict diet (modified specific carb diet) which helps a LOT.
L-Glutamine really helped with my inflammation, and I take 10-12g per-day mixed with water or a smoothie (banana based).
I've had these issues about 15 months now, and the last 3 have gotten worse as I've become low on nutrients causing all sorts of other symptoms. (Chest pain, rapid heart beat, anxiety randomly, severe eye twitching, and brain fog.) I've been able to up dosages of magnesium, potassium and Iodine
(just from salt) and I can tell worlds of difference. I was only using Sea Salt
for many months and was getting little to no iodine and go to the point where if I didn't have Sea Salt + Iodized Salt in the morning I was seriously spacing out, now I can skip a day or two and am OK.
I recently completed my blood test for nutrient/mineral levels and am waiting to get that data back. I really hope I can supplement what I'm lacking and that will really help speed up my healing process.
