I have some unopened SSKI expired 06-09 Which I never used DAMN, I had 2 refills on the prescription (I'm thinking I did not take it due to my earache clearing up)and not yet discovering what it would do for me. Is it safe to use?

If you have liquid, we know that Lugol's has a shelf life of about 10 years, so it seems to me SSKI shouldn't be any different, when sealed and kept in the dark. It might need some shaking if the solution has separated, though I've never had that problem.
It sounds as though you might have tablets. Here's what the American Thyroid Association says:
"KI is made in pill and liquid forms. The two FDA-approved brands of full adult dose 130-mg KI pills are IOSAT® (Anbex, Inc.) and Thyro-Block® (Medpointe, Inc.). The FDA-approved brand of 65-mg KI pills is ThyroSafe® (Recip US). Properly packaged, KI's shelf life is at least 5 years and possibly as long as 11 years. If you accidentally take a very old pill, it may not work fully but it won't hurt you."

I have been taking Logol's since July of last year, Lot's to read about the dosage! I'm now trying out 12-15 drops twice daily so far so good
I read where it was suggested or reported by Newport to take both? I'll have to go back and look!

Not sure if it's related... my right forearm (the one most useful:) has developed a poison ivy like rash 2 weeks now, Don't recall seeing any or touching any.. I did have it on me leg, 6-7 years ago, and I recall it coming back almost to the day a year later.. and the year after that ...IT eventually cooled out for good ...unless hitting the Zapper and SOTA MP pretty hard lately has dug this up ? Possible?
I've managed to contained it quite nicely.. UNLESS I bump into it with a wrench or something... trying Silver water and in the sun with sometimes Coconut oil, and the salt tub at night
That's a good SSKI solution. I'm no expert on these matters, and I don't know of a way to test whether it's still good, but I'd probably take it :) 'Course, I know how I feel on it, and I'd notice if there was a change.
Some people do great on just Lugol's. Women especially need Lugol's or Iodoral to get the iodine. Men? Maybe a small amount of Lugol's and the rest SSKI. My husband just takes SSKI. He originally took Iodoral, then a combo, then eventually fell into just SSKI. It might depend on how high you dose. After 100 mg or so, Lugol's or Iodoral can get rough, and SSKI fills the gap beautifully.
15 vertical drops twice a day is 93.75mg, twice a day!
Today I took a break from the 30 total Logols, and took 4 drops of SSKI...so far so good.
I'm slightly concerned about the small amount of gel like residue in the bottom of bottle of expired SSKI ? Anyone have experience with expired SSKI ?

just shake it well. if i had such a thing i would put a drop of each(old and new) on a dark plate and let dry. then examine the amount of material left over to see if anything has been lost.

Is this old SSKI useful to you for some purpose? I wish I would have thought to ask you for maybe a trade? or if you would like to use it for testing ? I opened it and am using it but I noticed I wake with a bitter taste ? would you still be able to use it if opened?
Any way, I would like to order some of yours
