  • About to perform first liver flush. My story and reaching out for much n... by  justkeepswimming  12 mon  1,029  Liver Flush Support
Hi everyone, my name is Alan and I’m a 27 year old male. I’m about to perform my first Liver Flush and wanted to see if anyone has any advice or insights pertaining my particular situation. I know that my story is probably one out of a million on here, but any little support helps tremendously. Sometimes I don’t know how much longer I can go on like this… It’s a little bit long, but I’ve provided quite a bit of info about my situation. If it’s too long, please just read my two main symptoms which are the first two under symptoms and offer any insight at all. Thank you in advance!

I’m currently preparing for a liver flush in two weeks and will be following the protocol by Andreas Moritz . I’m taking colosan and will start taking malic acid next week along with cutting gout fatty foods and animal proteins. I will also be getting my first colonic the day after the flush. I’m pretty nervous about the flush. I think more so because I’m really hoping it is the answer as nothing else seems to be the answer.

One of the reasons I suspect a congested liver is because I’ve been having dull pains under my bottom rib on the right side of my stomach for a few years now. I’ve had blood tests, ultrasounds, and even a CAT scan which showed no gallstones. I’m not sure how related these symptoms are, but I have a pain above/behind my right eye and hardening on the balls of my feet which I read are signs of liver congestion. I also have a host of other symptoms that I will describe below.

    A little bit about me:

I was diagnosed with rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease at 9 years old and was also diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia and fatty liver at this time. I took 500mg penicillin everyday for 5 years when everything miraculously resolved by the time I was 14.

Around the age of 16, I started hanging around with the wrong people. I started smoking cigarettes (about a pack to a pack and a half a day). I also started smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol on a daily basis, and one of my biggest regrets is taking ecstasy at least once a week. I kept this up until I was about 19 or 20 and stopped everything one by one because I started getting panic attacks, feeling really slow, and felt really unwell.

Other things that I’ve noticed looking back on my life is that I was overweight most of my life until I was about 16. I never exercised after the age of 11 or 12 and I had a HORRIBLE diet my whole life. I ate tons of fast food, candy, soda, canned foods, pizza etc. The only normal meal I would really have is dinner cooked by my mom. Even then I NEVER ate fruits and vegetables, and I literally mean no fruits or vegetables whatsoever.

Things started getting worse one by one around the time I started feeling really unwell and I either experience or have experienced a whole myriad of symptoms.

    Symptoms:

One of the worst symptoms I experience is a horrible headache, debilitating fatigue, feeling dazed, extreme brain fog, and pressure behind my eyes. I know it’s actually a few symptoms, but I grouped them together because they always occur together. Although it’s always there to a certain degree, doing things such as reading, using a computer, watching tv, or anything requiring me to focus will make the symptoms appear tremendously. I initially thought it was because of the use of my eyes, but I noticed anything requiring concentration such as listening to music or even thinking causes this. The strangest part is that it is the worst in the morning. When I say I can’t do any of these activities, I mean I literally can’t. Doing any of the things I mentioned even for a few minutes will cause debilitating symptoms that last the rest of the day. It does become more tolerable as the day wears on, and I’m able to do some of these activities in very short moderation closest to bedtime. Although it’s tolerable, they are still by no means pleasurable. I’m writing a lot about this because it is the worst thing in the world ever. I can’t function like a normal person. I literally can’t read anything or concentrate on anything throughout the day until night time. Most of my time is spent waiting until night time so I can do some of the things I mentioned. When I take the train to go to school, I just basically sit there while everyone is reading or listening to music. When my girlfriend wakes up, she goes on the computer and watches tv, while I just sit there and wait until night time or go outside and find something to do that requires minimal effort. I don’t even know how I finished school, but I just graduated with a degree in finance but have no idea what to do because I can’t function at a normal job. I’m essentially trapped in my body and can’t do anything. I will be forever indebted to anyone who has any ideas as to why this is happening or what to do about it. I was wondering if this can be related to liver congestion as well or if anyone has any other ideas. I was fine before this. I used to be able to do any of the activities for as long as I wanted with no symptoms.

Another main symptom I’ve experienced is that I have issues with my digestion. Over the past year, I’ve lost 45 pounds without trying to lose weight. I look like I wasted away and everyone is telling me how frail I look. Thinking back, I realized I’ve stopped having normal bowel movements for a few years now. I go maybe once every couple of days. When I do go, the consistency is always different and many times floating which I assume means it’s full of fat. I’m also experiencing bloating, reflux, and indigestion as well. I’ve been able to eat less and less now and fatty foods do not sit well with me which I read can be related to liver congestion. I get hungry quickly and want to eat, but don’t eat much because I know I will regret it afterwards. I basically feel hypoglycemic before I eat, and then like I got hit by a bus after I eat. I feel like I have food coma or the itis. I also noticed that the morning phenomenon applies to food as well. I can only tolerate minimal food at breakfast. I can tolerate a little more at lunch, and the most at dinner and afterwards. Any thoughts if this could be liver related would be appreciated as well. I want to be a normal weight.

Other symptoms I’ve experienced include (current and previously): dizziness, shortness of breath, intolerance to exercise, multiple food sensitivities, sensitivity to smells, sore muscles, joint stiffness upon waking, zero sex drive, no pleasure from sex, tingling in my arms and feet, burning when peeing, anxiety, extreme sensitivity to cold, and just about anything else you can think about. I am also extremely unreasonably angry.

    Things I’ve tried:

I’ve had tons of tests and all my labs results are pristine. I’ve had a head MRI, endoscopy, colonoscopy, tests from a neurologist (EMG, EEG), echocardiogram, sonograms of the abdomen, ear tests (VNG), and a bunch of other tests. I had a CAT scan from my neck to my pelvis which revealed a “subcentimeter hypodense lesion” in my liver which was deemed insignificant (not sure the significance of this)

Since conventional medicine hasn’t helped, I’ve tried alternative methods. I stopped eating gluten completely 9/5/11. I haven’t seen much of a change but I still eat gluten free today. I went to see a naturopath who tested me for parasites via a stool test. I came back positive for candida but negative for everything else. I went on a strict candida diet and started eating only organic foods. I also took a saliva test for adrenal fatigue which showed that my epinephrine, GABA, dopamine, and serotonin levels were way off. I started taking supplements which helped initially but made me feel worse after. I’m speculating that maybe my liver can’t process everything which was making me feel worse. Taking vitamin d also makes me feel worse even though I’m deficient (probably because it’s fat soluble?).

Since changing my eating habits and trying to combat the candida, I did notice that some of the symptoms have gotten better. The anxiety has gotten much better along with the panic attacks. People around me say I look calmer and not as tense. They also say that my complexion and skin color are much improved. My allergies have improved and I actually got through all winter without getting sick when I used to catch everything in sight. One thing I also noticed is that rashes I was having have disappeared. All the doctors said that they were fungal rashes, so I’m assuming the candida treatment has been helping. Other than that however, my main symptoms are still present.

When I was seeing the naturopath, she put me on liver supplements such as milk thistle and other herbs. When I first started taking things for my liver, the whole liver/gallbladder area was aching and felt like it was having spasms for the first 2 to 3 weeks (I’ve been having dull pain there for years). The spasms were pretty extreme. I was also having extreme pain and soreness in my right shoulder during the time. The spasms and shoulder pain eventually died down and are still there, but more in the dull aching manner. I have stopped seeing the naturopath because the visits, supplements, and eating organic were costing way too much.

    So what do you think…?

So that brings me to the present. I have all these symptoms but nothing conventional medicine has to offer has helped. Alternative medicine and self trial has helped a little bit, but no where near the point where I can function normally. I’m praying the answer is liver congestion. The only other thing I can think of is a parasite infection even though the stool test came back negative. Since everyone here has so much knowledge and experience, I wanted to reach out for advice to see what everyone thinks. How consistent is my situation with liver issues and are there any other possibilities? And if ANYONE has ANY idea about my headaches with reading in the morning, I will be FOREVER indebted to you.

I know this is extremely long, and for anyone that has read all or even part of it, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Cliffs:

On penicillin for 5 years, horrible lifestyle for 26 years, horrible symptoms, conventional medicine failed, alternative medicine helped slightly, still feel very crappy, please help me. Thank you…

      Hey,

Have you considered heavy metal poisoning? Do you or did you have silver fillings? Been exposed to lead paint/pipes? From high fructose corn syrup alone the average american is consuming about 40mcg of mercury a day. "normal food" prepared with normal ingredients and tap water are loaded with Pesticides which have heavy metals and poisonous substances galore. Just living in a city can substantially poison you.

You grew up on the SAD diet (standard american diet) and so you are screwed up in pretty much every way possible. Just assume this as a baseline :)

Look into Iodine supplementation to displace the toxic halogens fluoride/bromide/chloride. Continue with the macro cleanses (parasite/colon/liver flush) and periodically do some juice fasting with detox herbs to assist poison removal.

      Regards

Thanks for the response! I have considered a heavy metal detox but I was thinking of starting that after a few liver flushes because I was reading that a congested liver would be unable to handle the detox. I wanted to do a few liver flushes to see how it goes first.

I've never had mercury fillings although I definitely consumed a lot of soda, sugar, hfcs, and tons of processed food throughout my life. There is only one other thing I can think of. I know it's really stupid and quite embarrassing for me to say it now, but me and my friends used to roll aluminum foil into pipes so that we could smoke marijuana out of it. I remember the distinct metallic taste and smell from the burning aluminum. Very stupid i know and something I'm definitely not proud of...

Lol you mean you have gummed up aluminum vapor stuck in your brain and lungs? Wow thats a tough one! Also keep in mind marijuana has a high affinity for absorbing mercury from the soil and sub-par quality is typically loaded with it.

Good idea with doing the liver flushes before the detoxing.

You are liver flushing and fighting candida and so you are on the right track. I highly recommend lots of raw garlic in preparation for the flush, as well as saving up a storage of bile by refraining from fats, meats, oils and citrus for a week. The more malic acid you take and the more chance piedra, the better your results will be.

Keep reading, researching, reading some more until you find out something you never knew you had. We all have that ONE particular odd ball such as smoking aluminum foil (Lol), swallowing dirt, playing with broken thermometers, swallowing chewing gum, etc, that will have to be addressed for its potentially long term and toxic effects.

          Onwards and Flushwards!

Yeah. We were young at the time and aluminum foil was practically free. Like I said, not my proudest moment... lol. I've stopped marijuana and cut out all sugars, coffee, etc. I only eat organic food that i make myself.

I know that it's beneficial to cut out meat prior to the flush, but will I be lacking protein? If so, any ideas on how to compensate?

So it seems like you are leaning towards heavy metal toxicity in my case as well. Any suggestions on when I should start the detox (after how many flushes)? Any particular method or info you can lead me to would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks for your response and all your help! Oh by the way, do you have ANY idea regarding my symptoms where I can't read or do anything in the morning? I have yet to find anybody who knows what I'm talking about or any info on the cause or reason at all. Thanks for your help!

Wow man your story sounds pretty damn close to mine. http://curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1922374

I had just an absolute crap diet my whole life. I drank/smoked cigs/smoked weed/abused prescription drugs since I was a kid and did for years after that.

We are also on similar paths to recovery. I went gluten free last year 10/20/11 which helped remarkably and I went animal protein free back in April (4/15/12)/ I bought both of Andreas Moritz 's books (The Amazing Liver/Gallbladder Flush, The Timeless Secrets of Health and Rejuvenation) and have been following his protocols to a tee. You really need to buy the second book. It unlocks tons of secrets to your health that I think can really help you.

I've done 4 flushes to far and I can tell you that they are risk free as long as you follow Moritz's protocol to the letter. Eat when he says eat, drink when he says drink, and get colonics. The colonics are a little uncomfortable but they are needed. I really think they will help you a good deal. So far I've passed about 600 bright green stones in the first four flushes and am going to do between 12-15 flushes. My eczema is completely gone and I am also seeing some flickers of better stool quality.

You are on the right track brotha. Keep following the path back to health. This is a good community. They will help you.

Hey lownskater, thanks for the response! I actually did purchase his second book and went through it once already. I plan on going through it again more thoroughly and taking notes and trying to incorporate it into my life. I've cut down on meat a lot, but I don't know if I will ever be able to give it up completely... lol

I actually just read your story and it is actually pretty similar to mine. Makes me wonder how many people out there are going through this. All the doctors pretty much ended up telling me it was anxiety and I'm pretty sure any supplements or medication i take doesn't get processed and just overloads my system. Whenever i take supplements, they always help the first few days but get worse after.

I've pretty much gone healthy eating as well. I only eat stuff i cook and I only use organic. No dairy, gluten, sugar, processed foods, etc. I do notice some improvements in my symptoms, but the main ones are still there. Mainly horrible headaches from reading or concentrating on anything and unwanted excessive weight loss.

Do you think the liver flushes are it for you or are there other things you're considering? I'm very hopeful that it will help me, but at the same time I'm also not expecting much. I guess i'll see when the time comes. Thanks for the support and hope you keep getting better!

I bet the flushes will help you but remember that you've been poisoning yourself for years and years so don't get disappointed or discouraged if the positive results take a while to show up. My first flush made me feel worse, probably because of all those stored toxins being released, but they soon began to make an improvement. I just did my 10th and I know they're not over (and I didn't even have a very unhealthy lifestyle, but I am a lot older than you). My symptoms were fatigue, back pain, brain fog, soreness in hips and back. All gone now, I'm happy to say, though I know I still have cleansing to do.

One thing I learned about from these boards is the Herxheimer effect (sp?) where healing actually makes you feel worse. I wonder if your extreme symptoms in the morning are because your body has been hard at work trying to heal overnight and it's not ready to snap out of it and let you get on with other activities. THat's a wild guess. I don't have a similar experience. My feet used to be really sore first thing in the morning, and I knew that was some kind of toxic healing thing. Much better now.

You might also try juicing (if you're not already), just to increase the level of nutrients you're getting. Ginger really helped me snap out of the brain fog, it was a magical ingredient for me. Reading about ayurveda helped me as I realised my doshas were out of whack and ginger helped rebalance me. I don't even need it any more as I am balanced now. Depending on your body type and imbalances there may be some other ingredients that will help you.

OMG on the aluminium foil. I'm going to give my kids a stern lecture about trying crazy things today!

Hi crane23, thanks for the response! I'm kind of prepared for the possibility that I won't see improvements right away or actually feel worse. Dealing with Candida has taught me very much about the die off. I was feeling pretty horrible when I was on a strict Candida diet and rotating antifungals. I was experiencing the worst die off possible with extreme pain and brain fogginess.

As for my morning symptoms, I really don't even know what to think. I was thinking something along the lines of what you were thinking and a few other possibilities as well. I guess it's the most frustrating when nothing or no one i've ever encountered mentions anything similar to my situation. The toxicity issue does make a lot of sense though as i realize that sometimes i wake up drenched in sweat. I'm guessing that maybe my body is trying to release toxins through my sweat. That's why I'm really hoping the liver flushes will at least start help clearing things out.

I'm glad to hear that you're noticing many improvements. How many percent of the way there would you say you are? And have you been doing anything else besides the liver flushes and taking ginger? I read a little bit about the doshas from Andreas Moritz , but it doesn't go into great detail. Do you have any books, links, or resources you would recommend?

And you should definitely talk to your kids about all the crazy things out there! Kids are definitely growing up faster and seem to be getting more and more reckless. It also doesn't help that there are all kinds of things they can try nowadays. Thanks once again for your response!

I'm pretty much better, but a slight nagging something in between my shoulder blades tells me I'm not done cleaning out my liver/gallbladder. Otherwise I pretty much feel fabulous. (In retrospect I think sludge and stones in my liver and gallbladder were my problem--I had NO IDEA about this, despite repeated doctor visits, physio etc. Thank goodness I finally found cure zone).

I started trying to cleanse last fall, around Sept/Oct when I realised I was feeling foggy, tired all the time, and just not myself. I tried herbs for parasites, liver cleansing teas, apple cider vinegar, healing clay, anti yeast, probiotics, colonics, even a mini zapper. The flush is really what has helped me most. It's scary to see all that stuff coming out! I'm not sure the other things I tried helped at all but I still use most of them occasionally, just to keep things flowing smoothly, kind of how I put vinegar and baking soda down my shower drain to keep it open ;-)

For the doshas, there's a site called whatsyourdoshababy.com to help you figure out what dosha you naturally are (I am naturally Vata but was feeling totally Kapha and knew that was a problem. Now I'm a Vata again). Deepak Chopra has a similar quiz and lots of information on his site that is helpful, though of course he is dying to sell you stuff. I think it's great to get the information from these sites then source any herbs or foods you want independently, as Ayurvedic medicines can have weird ingredients like metals that I didn't want to experiment with (and which you have probably experimented with enough for one lifetime, LOL) but the basic principles are ancient and very interesting. There are a lot of books on it if you want more in depth info but the one I bought made my eyes glaze over as I was back to my healthy Vata self by then.

Be sure to follow the flush very carefully, it's simple but only seems to work when you really do all the steps. Putting the Epsom Salt in vegetable capsules makes the experience much less revolting for me. And malic acid capsules were much easier for me to cope with than apple juice. I also tried colonics and decided I don't need them (even though Andreas Moritz insists on them) so that saves me some $$, so I guess I am a rule breaker despite my advice.
I hope you see good results, even if they take a while!

Your comment about me having experimented with metals enough for a lifetime literally had me laughing out loud. Can't believe I was so stupid. I guess everyone thinks they're invincible when they're young.

Just like you, I've been to so many different doctors. I think i've literally had every major test done with nothing out of the ordinary. The one thing that makes me really suspect a liver/gallbladder issue is this nagging pain in my right side. I also have really bad soreness and pain in my right shoulder, which i was reading is usually referred pain from the liver. Along with having fatty liver when I was a kid and taking penicillin for 5 years, it would be amazing if something wasn't wrong with my liver.

I'll defeinitely check out the srouces you gave me regarding the doshas, and i'm definitely going to try to follow the procedure for flushing exactly. The only thing i may not be able to do is sleep at the time im supposed to. I usually sleep around 1, so it would be very hard for me to sleep by 10. Ill aim for 12 o clock or something i guess.

Glad to see you're almost better! By they way, how was the zapper? I was really contemplating making or buying one. lol

Hey, I'm just going to give you a bunch of bullet point statements based on my own research & experience. :-)

Your symptoms sound very much like Candida & Liver congestion.

But one must remember.. Everything is connected.. So other things may be out of wack too..

Candida and heavy metals are closely linked.

Candida is also closely connected to estrogen. (aluminum is an estrogenic Metal)

If the liver & gut is not eliminating estrogens, they build up in the system (candida loves this)

Be very careful with most liver cleansing herbs, many are estrogenic.. (candida likes it.. :-/ ) and they may have too strong of an effect.

BEFORE doing the liver cleanse, I'd go to a colonic or get a colema board. (if your gut is FULL you will feel miserable on the Liver Flush day.. If it's EMPTY, You can sleep. :-D)

I'd get the colema board from 'raw food world'. but, you may want to look to see if there is anyone closer to you.

coffee enemas may help, they are good for helping liver congestion & candida..
but be careful if your really sensitive. I'd start with a tablespoon of coffee and see your feelings with it. Sometimes they make me feel great.. Other times they make me feel jittery (I'm unsure if it's the caffeine or the cleansing effect) a half hour before doing them, take chorella or charcoal (these will help absorb the toxins put out by your liver)

The coffee may give you a temporary relief from being unable to focus.

The liver cleansing guy says coffee enemas may be good if you can't do the full on liver flush or are concerned with doing it at the time being: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DyAOHYIGZw&feature=youtube_gdata_player

The cold feeling is highly likely to be liver related.

Don't do magnesium supplements for awhile and see if the coldness goes away (for me, being cold was directly connected to me taking a magnesium supplement & doing topical magnesium)

Coconut oil helped me feel warm, when I had 'cold flash' and general 'cold' feelings. Both eating it in stuff and topically rubbing it all over your body after a nice hot shower. It seems to help the body to retain the heat.

Don't take calcium supplements. (look up David Wolfe & calcium)

DO look into eating a little organic meat (conventional has antibiotics & hormones aka estrogens.. Both candida loves..) the meat may help you feel stronger and more stable. (I have to have meat, or I feel weak) it may make you feel exhausted.. But the next day you may feel a bit more vitality (that's what used to happen to me) good quality salmon may be a good place to start.. Then Buffalo.. (or if your lucky to get some venison) for me, red meat feels more strengthening.. Salmon more energizing.

Don't follow the low salt/no salt thing.. Just salt your food to taste with a good seasalt.. (I avoided salt for awhile and had miserable consequences)

Be careful with the zapper, that thing made me get a serious candida issue. (not sure if it was die off..)

I recently came across this one chiropractor. He is the first one that has truly helped me! He is TOTALLY AWESOME! Here's his website if you want to look into him: http://www.myholistichealth.net

According to the liver cleansing guy, raw garlic is toxic.. (I'd almost believe it.. I ate it like crazy 3 years ago.. I don't think it helped me...): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGMbAQNXlCY&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Oh, also. When you do the liver cleanse, take 4 caplets of L-ornithine. It helps you sleep and makes you have less nausea (if you have it). Someone else's liver clease suggested it and it worked well.

I'll look over the whole thread, but did you ever mention what IS in your diet right now?

(I am also gluten free and eat only organic. But I bet our diets are very different. Which is completely normal... Everyones diet changes drastically depending on the season and what one is going through at any given moment.)
I'm just wondering if anything specifically needs to be added or removed.. Or changed to be better. :-)

Can't think of anything else at the moment. I wish you the best!

      -brittni

Hi Brittnigirl, thanks for the long and detailed response. I really do hope that i may be closer to finding the answer. I figured I had a candida problem and going on the candida diet and taking antifungals has helped somewhat. I still have a lot of issues though, which is what led me to search some more and come to liver flushes.

I definitely see more and more how everything is related like you said. I never knew Candida and heavy metals were related so that's very nice to know. There does seem like there are a lot of other factors which I want to address. Right now though, I want to see how the Liver Flush goes because I feel doing other things will be useless or not as effective if my liver can't process everything normally.

I also never knew about the estrogen connection and how many herbs are estrogenic. So if there is an abundance of estrogen in my system, how do I eliminate it or what do I do to normalize the levels?

I was reading that coffee enemas are really effective but I'm kind of apprehensive since drinking coffee gives me the jitters. It does seem like it is very helpful though...

In regards to getting a colonic, I was reading that you should get one before to clear out the gut and to get one after to clear out any remaining stones which might get reabsorbed and cause symptoms. Since it would be my first time getting a colonic as well and I only want to get one, I'm not sure what to do. I originally planned to do the flush this Sunday and scheduled a colonic appointment for Monday (the day after the flush). I was going to take colosan for a couple of days before the flush as it seems to help me go. Now I'm not sure if i should do the colonic the day after the flush or just do the colonic the day before the flush and move The Liver Flush date to tuesday.

Prior to the past half year or so, I was eating everything I shouldn't and nothing I should. The first thing i did was go gluten free. Afterwards I went completely organic. I don't get organic meats, but I make sure i get meat that hasn't been treated with hormones or antibiotics. Whatever fish I get (usually salmon or cod) is wild caught.

I've completely cut out sugar, anything artificial, anything refined, coffee, chocolate, dairy, etc. It would probably be easier to list what I do eat. Organic vegetables, hormone and antibiotic free meat, wild caught fish, organic whole grains, eggs, and organic nuts. I did eat legumes but barely do because I have a hard time digesting them. I season my food with salt, herbs, and sometimes liquid aminos. I also use ACV and Virgine Olive Oil "" href="/c/?/abbreviations.asp">EVOO . I started reintoducing organic potatoes and organic corn into my diet recently as well. My indulgences are hummus, organic corn chips, or organic potato chips.

I also take a scoop of greens supplement with a tablespoon of flax oil with water everyday. I did stop taking the greens for the past few days and feel a little better. I think maybe because the one I'm taking is loaded with all kinds of herbs.

Here's a link to the greens I am/was currently taking:
        http://www.vibranthealth.us/?p2=/modules/vibranthealth/product.jsp&id=28

Other than that, I don't think i have anything else in my diet right now. The grains were added recently back into my diet along with fruits because I was off of them for the Candida diet. I cook everything myself any do not eat anything from outside. Occasionally a salad with no dressing or gluten containing items.

Thanks once again for such an in depth response!

You definitely need to flush. Your body will be so grateful. Candida wreaks havoc on the adrenals, and thats good you cut out sugar, caffeine etc--no good for adrenals or candida. What are you doing to heal/reprogram adrenals? The business of not being functional until the evening is adrenal related for sure. I have dealt with a lot of the same symptoms as you of feeling just so exhausted and idle, and liver flushing improved that big time.

I'm glad my response helped. :-) I just have so much info floating around in my brain, it's hard to give a normally written response without writing a book! lol

I've been studying since 2007, my story is rather long... Involves wisdom teeth being removed, 2 rounds antibiotics, serious lung infection that was candida.. Trying SO MANY 'health diets' and protocols.. A desmoid tumor in my leg that ended up getting worse and landed me in a wheelchair for 2 1/2 years..(finally got out December 12 2010) Hormones freaking out.. Endocrine system freaking out (thyroid/adrenals) and all kinds of crazy healing crisis stuff and what-not.

That's the serious nut-shell version. I'm doing TONS better now. But still have some more work to do.. (physical therapy stuff with my leg.. Working on dissolving the desmoid tumor with whatever I can throw at it.. Right now, systemic enzymes. Getting over being tired and still messing around with diet stuff.. Once I'm all better, I'm looking forward to working on getting really strong, learning even more on herbs & wild edibles... And garden alot more. My endurance is still not up to where I would like it to be, I have to be careful on how many demands I put on my body... But I am able to do ALMOST anything I'd like now, which is awesome.)

First off, diet wise. Stop all soy (including the aminos your having) stop doing flaxseed oil. (both VERY estrogenic)

thanks to my awesome doctor,  I've been reading up on systemic enzymes. Estrogen is very connected to 'fibrin'.. Here's the link that my doctor sent me:

Last post, I forgot to tell you about threelac, it totally saved me way back when:
          http://www.amazon.com/Threelac-Probiotic-Supplement-Includes-053-Ounce/dp/B000F4H5U4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339288439&sr=8-1

^^ threelac is one thing I would say to not worry about the ingredients. Because it's a total life saver.. Even though it has canola oil.. lol

ALSO, raspberries are totally safe to have on the candida diet, they have allegic acid, which kills candida.. GREAT to know when you can't have sweet..

Also, 'yacon syrup' & 'jerusalem artichoke' syrup are safe to have.
Coconut sugar kinda safe too, but not 100%.. I'd only try it once you get things more under control.

          Avoid agave.

START 'salmon oil' or 'krill oil'.. If you have any inflammatory conditions, do krill. If not, do salmon. DO NOT do 'cod liver oil' (I can't digest cod liver oil and it tastes horrible)
Salmon oil & krill digest better, so no 'fish burps' or horrible taste.

Flax is not the same omega 3s as animal based. (salmon, krill.. Ect)  it actually has to get converted into the animal based kind in order to be used.. And the body has a hard time converting it.

RE: the green powder you take.  HOLY COW, that's alot of ingredients. lol. I'm mildly paranoid about taking alot of things at once.. Because I like taking single items and know how each one effects me.. In a product that has so many ingredients, you never know what's bugging... It could be making you detox. It is good to take a few days off it every once and awhile. So DO NOT feel bad if you feel like skipping it. Just listen to your body, it will tell you when it wants it again.

In the past I was completely caffeine intollerate.. (totally wacked out my system) I can have chocolate now., but avoid caffeine (or theobromine) in any other form.

coffee enemas are suppose to not be like drinking it. I can attest to that, since sometimes I get no effect from it.. But occasionally I do get a 'buzz' or over stimulated feeling... But it's never like drinking it. Last time I drank green tea (very little caffeine content), I was jittery and totally buzzed.. But the coffee enemas don't even come close to how the green tea effected me.. The green tea was MUCH worse, to the point I felt completely unable to do anything until it wore off.. With the coffee enema, I was still functional.

Excess estrogen gets filtered by the liver and exit the body via the bowels. so anything that helps these 2 can help bring down estrogen levels.

The issue then would be helping your body to produce the balancing hormones. My body was having trouble doing this. (the balancing hormones for you, would be testosterone and helping prevent it from turning into estrogen. For women, it's progesterone and to a lesser amount, testosterone)

For hormones, my doctor has me on an amino acid mix that helps my body naturally produce more of certain hormones, so it can be balanced. He does 3 products, that he chooses from to best fit each client. I'm on o-tropin by orenda international (he sells all the products almost at-cost) I really like the o-tropin.

Do you use high quality butter & coconut oil? Cholesterol is VITAL for hormone production. Mine was actually low when I got it tested.. (way too low) cholesterol is a whole nother subject, if your curious. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awA2fsa94MI&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I wouldn't completely write dairy off. (but I think it's fine your not having any) If you come across some really good high quality stuff, like Raw, grass-fed, try it if you feel up to it. Sometimes it helps when you expand your diet after being so limited for a long time. :-)
(both mentally & physically.. Mentally feeling freer with diet tends to make you feel less stressed.. Thats what I've noticed recently.)

Overall I want to encourage you. I'm so happy that your working towards getting better, the natural way. I know how hard it is to revamp your diet.. Then revamp your diet, over and over again. It's really hard digging through all the dogma & crazies..

Here's one of my favorite health teachers, very encouraging and fun to listen to. Daniel Vitalis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwNMreagPzM&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I hope I didn't throw too much info at you, it's alot to sort through.

Wow. Glad to see that you are seeing improvements. How long have you been actively pursuing alternative methods?

It's interesting that you mention cutting out soy because I was becoming intolerant to it. I actually cut it out for a while and have only reintroduced it very sporadically. I actually use yacon syrup and like it a lot, but I barely use any type of sweeteners. I think i've lost my sweet tooth. It's something I no longer really care for. lol

I guess I'll start taking salmon or krill oil. The only reason i started taking the flax oil was because it's something my naturopath recommended. Not sure why though. In terms of the greens, it was recommended by the person at the health food store and it had a lot of positive reviews online so I went for it. I stopped taking it recently though since it was dragging me down a bit as well. I guess it's not ideal for people like us with weaker systems.

I guess I'll try the coffee enemas since i read they help rid the body of toxins. I've thought about using coconut oil for a while but haven't really. I guess I should start. Sometimes I feel like I've built up a wall and not try anything new. lol

As for the hormones, I'm sure my hormones are unbalanced. Like i was telling aquarian warrior, some of my hormone levels are off, but the supplements seem to make me feel worse as i take them for a longer period of time. I'm assuming because my liver can't handle it.

Speaking of liver, I just did my first Liver Flush but it was a failure =( i posted about it here:
            http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1949704#i

I'll still try the liver flushes, but am wondering if you have any clue as to what I can do in between flushes to help gain weight. I assume i'm losing weight because my liver is stuffed. And without the bile, i can't digest foods which make sense because i feel miserable after i eat (especially fatty, protein, or oily foods) and my stool floats. I also am constipated which i read can be a result of bile insufficiency. I believe i have enough fiber so i dont think that's the issue.

I really do believe a lot of my issues are from a lack of nutrients and lack of elimination. I feel like my body is always starving. That's what makes me so sad about the failed liver flush. I'm still going to try , but any idea what else might help? Do you know anything about taking ox bile? Seems like it helps, but I want to make sure it won't decrease my body's own bile production.

It's mind boggling how many different aspects there are to consider. I thought for the longest time eating salads meant you were healthy. i was so wrong. LOL

Thanks for all your time and help!

lol, yeah.. I can't even have salads anymore.. They make me bloat.
(though I may try it again... Maybe... Same feeling of not wanting to try something, though in this case it's not 'new')

It's been since 2007 that I really started studying, though previously I thought I was health concious.. Drinking soy milk, almond milk or rice milk.. Trying different green supplements.. Ect.. But i didn't realize how bad eating out was, microwaves & caffeine in the form of black tea & chocolate.. Not to mention sugar.. That changed fast in 2007.

I hear you with the constipation/enough fiber deal. That's been hugely frustrating for me.. I believe it's the actual peristalsis that's being inhibited.
I can't really reccomend anything for that, I'm still working on that and haven't yet figured it out.

I have a horrible time swallowing pills.. And Ox bile you have to swallow in a pill.. (if you drink it in water, you'll get alkaline burns in your esophagus.) I have no experience using it. So I'm unsure of how well it worker if it helps.

One thing I have noticed that helps (which is pretty much the only thing I've actually noticed helping, besides coffee enemas) is glytamines, my doctor I mentioned sells them ALOT cheaper then anyone else.

As far as weight loss.. I don't know.. I had lost alot of weight when I was really sick. (got down to 86 pounds.. And I am 5' 2'') I have now gained alot of healthy weight and it feels great. (100 pounds now, give or take a pound or 2) how I did that, I'm not sure.. Raw dairy products? kefir, butter, cream, chevre.. The kefir & chevre being from a goat we got & we milk.
