Hemlock, several poisonous plants in the Apiaceae family (formerly Umbelliferae)
Hemlock (Conium), two species, one formerly used as a method of execution
Hemlock plants are so common this year in Ohio that they are the most dominant plant you see while you drive most anywhere, often you can see them for miles in all directions along highways, creeks, wet spots, fields.
So bad, that even the state has warned people about these plants as they can be deadly to all animals. I have seen horse people (want b horse people) have 2-3 horses in their small lots in the country where 25% of the plants are HEMLOCK and these non farmers are clueless and think the plants are PRETTY and if their horse eats a leaf.................belly up!
The plants average 6-8 feet tall and are covered in white flowers. Children should not even be permitted to play near them and never walk through a patch of them.
They are so plentiful this year there is no way they could all be sprayed / erradicated and they are a useless plant.
there are a handfull of deadly plants, such as potato, tomato, etc. and an animal normally never will eat such a plant, but when you make a big dumb animal like a horse or a cow or the even more stupid goat a penned up pet, they soon become suicidal and loose all sense of "normal" and will eat anything.
The most suicidal animal in the country has to be the "squirrel", they seem to love to play dodge with car wheels. I am amazed they all don't eat hemlock and even more amazed that humans don't kill each other with the old standard poisons such as arsenic, hemlock, silver, mercury, iodine.......but it seems like drugs became more "favorable".
The raw potato, the raw tomato are the man created fruits of deadly plants. The plants are extremely toxic to mammals, while hemlock is famous as a poison.
Even more bazzar are plants that people eat the stem of, but the leaf can kill...
SEEMS humans will try/do most anything but just eat what God created humans to eat...RAW TREE / VINE "Sweet" FRUITS.
We humans can eat many things, but some plants, metals are extremely toxic.
"THEY" SAY WHEN YOU EAT NIGHT SHADE PLANTS YOU WON'T SEE THE NEXT MORNING.......
The night shade plants must taste so horrible that you never hear of any human dieing from eating them......you do hear of stupid cows dieing from eating things like dead evergreen and a few poisonous plants found in woods, but otherwise a normal mammal does not like the taste of such things.
Yikes, I like both those foods, especially tomatoes.
I ate a few tomatoes over the past couple of weeks and the vision in my right eye went funny. I could still see, but I was seeing tiny black spots and my vision got blurry in that eye. It was scary.
I'm thinking that I'm going to try spray 1 on my eyes with my eyes closed,
Mira, some folks do react to these veggies, for sure. The phytochemicals in the plants would make their way into the "fruit" of the plant? I've eaten plenty of potatoes and tomatoes in my 58 yrs without ever noticing a problem, but that doesn't mean that I never had one!
Thanks PLZ. The blurry vision, which I still have to some degree, may have been caused by something else but I'm going to cut back on those foods just in case.
My body is telling me that it's time for another orange juice fast, plus I'm going to look into herbs and essential oils for vision. I think MH makes an eye spray that I may try.
