I have read your post. I think you didn't get proper dentist treatment. yes dentist cost is really high but it works also. It is really effective. I think you need to find a dentist who guide you properly in your budget. Ok first thank you Mr. Cuddy’s that responded to my email to him. I am a 46 year old female with major dental problems as I am just finding out!!! My gums have recessed and I have been told by my dentist (that I finally went to after 10 years!!) I will loose my teeth because I have 8mm pockets, I have what is called Chronic periodontitis. I thought my world was going to end, then I found this website!!! I am hoping that someone can shed some light on my situation. Things I have done: 1-taking multi-vitamin in the morning 2-Rub Co2Q on my gums( I try to do this three times a day) 3-take 1 Tablespoon Milk of Magnesia 4-Take a Vitamin C pill 5-OP with FLAX SEED (just started this week see no difference) 6-Drink 12-15 glasses of carbonated water. This are my questions: 1-Should I be using Coconut oil instead: 2-Should I be taking other vitamins? Should I try something else? 3-Can alternate from Flax Seed one week/ and then coconut oil? 4-Is Carbonated water bad? Should I be drinking distilled water? Spring water?? Help!! Please I would like to hear from my dentist that my gums have tightened up and my teeth have also started to tighten up!! My next appointment is Oct 15/12 Any input from anybody would be great!! I can not believe that my teeth and gum disease has taken over my life!!! I am so worried that I will loose my teeth!!! Please help Thank you. Hi, Thank you for posting this. Hello, I'm 33 years old and have been suffering from aggressive periodontal disease for the last 8 years. I've had scaling and root planing several times, been put on antibiotics several times including low dose antibiotics everyday for over a year. Nothing worked and I lost a tooth cause I had lost so much bone in my upper jaw. The periodontist wanted to just pull them all out and put in implants (which is insanely expensive!) I then paid $6,000 and had laser gum surgery. Still my teeth were loosening and I was in constant pain...
I then read about high dose vitamin C therapy to treat various diseases. I was intrigued how closely periodontal disease is similar to scurvy - which is a disease caused by vitamin C deficiency.
So I started taking a huge amount of vitamin C. The first day I took 20 grams of vitamin C - that is a gigantic amount that should cause diarrhea but had no ill effect. But I woke up the next day pain free! My gums were actually pink and not red and puffy and bleeding! It was like a miracle!
That was six months ago and my gums are healing and my teeth are no longer achy and loose. I had to take large doses of vitamin C for quite some time but slowly tapered down - I now take between 2 - 5 grams a day depending on how my gums are feeling. I cannot skip a day and if I'm sick or stressed I notice I need more. I take it in powdered form at lunch and dinner.
Please, please, please try vitamin C!!! Its cheap and it works! Please give it a try! I know how horrible and painful this disease can be but its so easily curable - your dentist just wants your money!!!

Congratulations on healing your gums!
I've been using vitamin C also as part of my approach to healing my gums. And, I learned that adding MSM powder ramps up the absorption of C by a huge amount. I take a teaspoon of sodium ascorbate with a tsp. of MSM in water a couple of times a day. I've also started taking liposomal C, which is another highly absorbable form. And yes, my gums are much improved. This also helps compensate for the ill effects of my root canals, which I suspect contributed to the issues with my gums. I also do oil pulling which I highly recommend (see the curezone oil pulling forum). And, I use the products from the Calcium Therapy Institute:
