I need to know course(1st 2nd), duration of treatment, mg dose put ??? if unsure successful? Success/fail, areas of infection( if more than 1please use brackets to begin/end] if systemic write systemic and feel free to list. At minimum, if applicable list mouth(thrush) digestive etc.
List RESISTANCE on the next line if it stopped working. Write ineffective if it didn't work at all. Caps preferred but I plan to fix it all up for sorting.
I encourage you to post as numbers (anonymously) to protect your privacy. Feel free to pm me anonymously as well. Or not.
example : 1st course, 3d, fail, [scalp, mouth, digestive],
Notes: halted advancement but did not improve.
Then add notes if you want.
I'll compile everything for a bit. In a bit. There is no official recommended dosage/duration for systemic candidasis and it's retarded.
It wasted my time. It shrunk down my rashes, but i stagnated. My root cause was liver impairment..maybe from lactose, celiac, protein shakes...and then kept going on and on with the candida diet that had a lot of fish and nuts and no fruit. The exact opposite diet that I needed to be on. yeast is overgrowing because of a root cause in people. Does diflucan really hit the root cause?
So close and yet so far. Mike, as of right now you're *almost* off topic. Please, provide the rest of the info I need to compile the data. Your protein intake would also be useful.
What I have so far: You were on diflucan, whey protein shakes (heavy, couple of years), and the candida diet, which combined with the die off from your candida is a quadrouple threat to your liver.
Mike has a valid point as to the strain on the liver. Most people will be facing at least 2 of those if not 3. (I hope people will limit the whey protein).
Failure: reduction in _____ symptoms (no need to fill in the blank, it's private). Stopped during treatment. (stopped due to liver toxicity)
Now, was this your only course? What was your duration?
Dr Jeff mentioned something about incidences of resistance being higher on the typical (not his) diet for candida. (he uses more carbs). Do you believe it developed resistance?
Good luck on your liver support diet. There is an interesting article about a U.K. girl who ate potato chips, cocoa, chocolate chip cookies, etc to support her liver.
Canditoxin and alcohol can tax the liver. Leaky gut can cause the celiac. The Canditoxin killing off beneficial microbes can can interfere with the processing of lactose, etc.
Nuts are bad, mostly carbs.
I had one half of one orange and bled from my rectum the next day, like I hadn't for months.
I should be dead. The rabbits in the experiment who cought it as I did (without the dry mouth risk factor) are dead. I should have died months ago. Rabbits with the severity of my infection barely lasted 90 days WITH oil of oregano. Nystatin, garlic, cinnamon, the candida diet, and probiotics and I'm still alive.
Why? My goal is not to kill the candida, but to put it at a disadvantage. Cinnamon kills it and protects my respiratory tract in combination with the nystatin. Garlic gives a .5% advantage to the lactobacillus, probiotics replenish, lactic Acid gives an advantage too. Nuts are bad, I'm convinced. And the candida diet.
The yeast overgrowing can be a root cause once it's established a foothold. It suppressed your immune system. My case started with a suppressed immune system and continued because of the Candida's supression.
I can't start the diflucan yet, but I know all the risks to my liver... and like you I plan to increase my fruit intake once I'm winning. Specifically, papaya and Greek yogurt or pineapple and Greek yogurt.
Liver impairment is a symptom, and one the diflucan doesn't help, but the survival rate is higher with it than without. It's my knockout punch.
Complete fail and I think caused liver problems. I used it for three months in 1996. It also gave me huge black liver spots all over my skin at the age of 39.
I would look at Jorge's posts about enemas if i were you.
Did you take it WITH anything. I've determined that Oil of Oregano, Caprylic Acid (coconut oil) and Undecenoic Acid, etc... most natural antifungals except cinnamon and garlic, could cause treatment with fluconazole to fail!!!!
Mine also failed at a 10 day course. I'm about to try a 3-month course. My doctor is too afraid to give me a full dose (Right, because HAVING ****ING CANDIDA KILL ME IS LESS DANGEROUS) so I'll be taking it once every 3 days. This treatment method is, ironically, potentially MORE DANGEROUS than taking it once daily from what I have read.
I'm unlucky, and have contracted it's most lethal form. (Depending on how you contract it, it's lethality varies... the worst way is at about 70 degrees (90 is less dangerous, so I assume higher temperature = less lethal), with constant airflow, dry mouth(missing salivary gland), etc... The rabbits contracting it the same way died within 30 days, I'm at 150.
Apparently one pill is as effective as a 14 day course. (In terms of cure rate). So if one pill doesn't work, a 10 day treatment actually has no additional benefit. (I've been on both a 3 day and a 10 day, they worked, but it came back.
Azole resistance is likely when you have exposure to clotrimazole.
As for the liver problems... yes... it is VERY hard on the liver and it DOES SUCK! You're probably right about it causing your liver problems. Milk Thistle reduces the effectiveness of the liver enzyme elevated by candida (And honestly, I feel like shit and my sides hurt if I don't get the full recommended dose of it every day).
Garlic also helps.
As for the enema's, they're less useful to me now as I've taken Lactobacillus Rhamnossus, which dislodges things from the lower colon, but I do plan to do a few more as soon as I can get the enema. It's useful, especially once the candida starts to overgrow. XD.
I haven't taken the last course of Diflucan yet.... had to delay it for various reasons.
