Well just wanted to share I am feeling better , not fantastic , but much better I added the tri boron, and up my vitamin c these are the added things for me i take others, but morning are not as drooling , better stamina, so I am up to 1 and half idoral today,
At 65 i have never really suffered from menopause like most , I ran hot all my life, and do not tolerate heat well, i constantly have a fan on, but these day I run more hot, especially in my face, so winter weather makes me a happy woman , i have way more saliva in mouth than ever - I enjoy reading all that you have researched, and am grateful to have found you all, I read daily on this site, smiles Linda
Good to hear; better days ahead.
The drooling is a typical mercury symptom, especially if it is worse at night, waking up with a wet pillow.
If this fit your picture, you can have a go on it; http://www.homeopathy-help.net/Remedies/POLYCHRESTS/merc.html
Thank you nice site I have a few of those things here, I am looking for a good source of Milk Thistle, daughter usually makes it for me as she makes her own tinctures, but she is to busy and i was thinking of doing a powder any feed back would be appreciated,,,:) I just read a good article on making your own powdered batch from Medcine Womens Roots , :) Linda
I'm worried about you.. you said you were feeling hot.
I'm concerned about which co-supplements you are taking with your iodine. The following list was assembled by the Iodine Conferences with Dr. Brownstein & others, and considered to be essential:
- - ½ tsp Natural Celtic Salt, Himalayan Pink Salt, Redmonds Salt or Hawaiin black salt
- - - If the Sea Salt is pure white, it is unacceptable (minerals have been stripped out )
- - 200 mcg selenium (L-selenomethionine preferred)
- - 400 mcg Magnesium - Glycinate preferred
- - 2,000mg Vitamin C - Ester-C preferred
- - ATP Cofactors caplet contains 100mg B2 & 500mg B3 non-flushing in the correct ratio
Take 1 caplet with iodine up to 50mg, then another caplet for each 50 mg iodine,
I AM taking all that you mentioned, except the b-s i do take b-50 helpful to know to take with iodoral,,, confused about atp is that a combination, I have been hot since a kid, people would stop me and offer to buy me a coat as they thought i needed one because it is so cold , been like that since as far back as i remember about 7 years old, so will get bs just confused about what to get separate or combination in those 5 I also take manganese 50 mil all that you mention i take, i just ran out of glycerinate mag but going to get some i am taking malate right now
HOPEfully the bs will help
I have taken temperature for all of this month and I have since early 20s been 95.6 always in morning and if lucky got up to 97.6
Since iodoral it had risen to 96.7 to 97.6 in morning at nite it has risen to 97.8
When i salt dose it goes up to 97.9 morning and a beautiful 98.6 when i don't salt it goes back down I have never been 98. anything unless i ran a fever, so this is good, thank you for your concern so touched by that,
smiles Linda

Being hot and feeling hot is two different things. One very hypo T woman I know feel very hot, but her temp is never in sync with that feeling.
I wouldnt worry about this, some fluctuation will occur in the beginning of Iodine supplementation.
The fact that your temp is lower than it should be, points to hypo T, like I had.
I actually prefer to be a little higher than 37 C (98,6), like 37,4. Not that I have tested lately, I did this very thoroughly at one stage, now I dont have to; I know how it feels when the temp is right.
i already clued her in on the right selenium as what she said she was taking did not seem proper. something to take note of as well is that if selenium has been depleted for a long time those stores may need t be replenished like iodine. it is ok to take 400mcg with no problem as long as it is selenomethionine. for those with cancer i recommend double that until resolution is achieved then back down to 200-400mcg. when you have cancer you know right off you ran out of selenium a long time ago.
thank you so much again for input
two questions if you may
the cofactors is there a particular brand
and salt doseing is there a particular time,
I take iodoral in morning, do i wait?
i up my iodora to one and half yesterday, feel crappy this morning and i have had a couple of good days before i up them.
want to get the bs,
So temp was 98.6 this morning a first ever
face so hot, so it seems in this journey that i went into hyperthyroid , this is why my practionaire wanted me to go slowly,,,so order some of Trappers sski ,,,thanks again linda
Linda,
>>two questions if you may
>>the cofactors is there a particular brand
ATP Cofactors is made by Optomox and is available at Amazon.Com and others. It contains the correct Vitamin B2 & non-flushing B3 in the correct ratio. You can buy seperate B2 & B3 if you choose:
- Vitamin B3, Flush Free, Niacin Inositol Hexanicotinate, 500 mg
- Vitamin B2 Riboflavin 100mg
the niacin that has flushing is very upsetting to people, including me.
>>and salt doseing is there a particular time,
I don't know about a correct time. I think that is an individual decision as what works out best for you. I add it to my coffee first thing in the morning. Others I know put it into a pitcher to drink all day.
>>I take iodoral in morning, do i wait?
IMO, that is also what works best for you. Some have reported that iodoral in the evening affects their sleep. I have not noticed this. Others have reported that dividing the dosage a little at a time all day helps. I take it all just before breakfast.
>>this is why my practionaire wanted me to go slowly
I am always stressing a go slow approach. It took us our entire life to get toxified and Iodine deficient, so spending an additional 6 months to titrate up is prudent, in my opinion.
well i will order the combination , oh if the niacin , so the rush from it , dose it lessen and not to freak out , what would tell me to stop, or how long is the reaction, i ask these things as if i know what to expect that is normal i wont panic,,,,, so appreiate you input Grizz, smiles Linda
The ATP Cofactors is flush free. No one in our Marks Daily Apple Group has reported any flushing from the Optomox ATP Cofactors caplets. I take 2 a day because I'm on 100mg daily of iodoral. The recommended dosage for ATP Cofactors is 1 tablet for the 1st 50mg of iodoral, and 1 ATP for each 50mg thereafter.
I have used the flushing niacin (B3) and the first time I used it I thought I was REALLY going to die! My face got red, and my arms started itching and it felt like tiny needles jabbing my skin. This "Flushing" reaction lasted about 1 hour. Since that first time, I know what to expect and it doesn't bother me so much. When I run out of Optomox ATP Cofactors, I use the separate B2 & B3 but I do it just before going to bed so I don't notice the flushing so much.
This man says we are wasting money if we don't get the Flushig variety if Niacin, and that flushing is GOOD for us.
My position is to follow Dr. Brownstein's Orders. If Dr. Brownstein says to take Optomox ATP Cofactors, then I have no choice but to follow his orders. I am in a VERY vulnerable position and to avoid being squished like a bug by the Drug Companies, I must hide behind the Iodine Doctors. Everything I say and everything I do must be authorized by the Iodine Doctors. Innovation is for others.
Over 4 years ago the heart doctors put me on niaminicide (prescription niacin) because my Triglycerides were high. When taking it, I burned like I was on “fire” every night for over eight months. It was so bad that I had to get in a cold shower to cool the “fire”. When I got my blood work at eight months, it showed my triglycerides had risen from the 200’s to over 400. I immediately tossed the niaminicide and openly cussed the doctors, to myself.
Later I would go on to discover D3. By taking 2000 iu’s to 4000 iu’s a night, my triglycerides went down to 144 in two months, proven by blood tests. When first starting D3 my body would heat up at night as I would fall to sleep. It wasn’t an uncomfortable heat.
It was the kind of cozy heat one feels while holding your loved one next to a lazy fireplace, on a cold night. I lost over 6 lbs.
BTW... I posted about my D3 experience over 4 years ago on this Forum! And I was on Iodine too!
So love your spelling out what you go threw, as this is the key in me or others i think getting threw this,,,I never thought of taking D3 at nite very interesting , i take 5000 as my d levels are at 30 ,,,thanks so much grizz
what you give is so much appreiated,,,smiles linda
I backed down to 2000 iu's of D3 a night for a long time and a few months ago I upped it to 5000 iu's a night, and lost an additional 16 lbs. My daughter did too. My wife upped to 10,000 iu's a night and lost over 30 lbs in two months.
Please try to spray some magnesium oil on everynight and or take magnesium malate too. As D3 gobbles up magnesium like candy. And at least 1 Milligram of K2-mk4 3 times a day would be nice as it has synergy with D3.
Btw: I've had nosebleeds for years from a blotched surgery on my nose and the nose-bleeds have disappeared with the addition of K2.
>> i take 5000 as my d levels are at 30 ,,,thanks so much grizz <<
My favorite doctors, Dr. Kruze & Dr. Wm Davis both recommend your vitamin D3 blood levels to be 60 to 80 for optimal health. Mrs Grizz & I take 10,000 IU Daily to get our blood levels up near 70ng/ml. It takes 3 months of taking a higher level of D3 to get the body reserves filled to the new level, then take the blood test. You can get an at-home blood test kit for $65 at the vitamion D3 Council: http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/about-vitamin-d/vitamin-d-deficiency/am-i-vitamin-d-deficient/
So the rule of thumb says that each 1,000 IU change in your Vitamin D3, there will be a change on 10ng/ml in your blood test. Blood Level of 30 needs to be raised by 50 to get your blood level to 80ng/ml. This will take an additional 5,000 IU Daily. So, according to the rule, 10,000 IU should get you to 80ng/ml in your blood test. If you spend a lot of time in the sun during summer you should reduce your Vitamin D3 dosage accordingly.
we have seen two types on this forum. those who go slow and suffer for 6 months and those who jump right to 100mg and get over it in days, sometimes hours.
thanks i am getting there, dont loose faith in my have to plan my days as i do have to make a living lol,,,will up to 100 by this week end ,,yikes yikes yikes ,,,,,smiles Linda
once you get up to 100mg(see your email for info) or so you may see a lot of changes in the female department. we have seen post menopausal women have another period or two before settling in to a much more comfortable "after the change". lack of Iodine screws everything up in that regard. its why women need more iodine than men.
