It seems my liver is so slow to respond to things that used to help it detox relatively quickly in the past. Liver flushing, mudpacking, vitamin b would all help liver sluggishness turn around instantly in the past during this raging battle with candida. After going through several unbearable phases of die off that spun out of control due to taking herbs of a type and amount that were too powerful for me to keep up with metabolically, my liver is in bad shape and everything I do to help it seems to take so long to work. One Hulda Clark flush now produces minimal relief and change in symptoms like bad skin, fatigue etc. The naturopath I've been seeing told me that biliary stasis is present, so i feel like im going in the proper direction...is what im describing just a sign of a major backlog of toxicity from all the die off? It is so hard to stay strong and keep flushing and doing coffee enemas when change is so slow to come. Any opinions on this are welcome. The major candida complaint I've had throughout is not bloating or cramping or any of that, which I would gladly take any day over this horrible pms, insane under eye bags, fatigue and depression and the rest of the sluggish liver symptoms I could name...
Mostly raw vegan, and I know you will come down on me for this, but (raw plant source) fats are included, plus a little seafood here and there...im thinking it's time for a juice fast...
I'd take a look at those fats. I see a lot of effort here and in my case, a handful of almonds a day kept the disease going and gave me the red flag of jaundice.
Maybe youre right Anthony. I should try omitting fats for a week and see if there's a difference. I don't have jaundice but the liver and gallbladder are just so...slow. And overworked...
This may be nothing more than red-herring (is that a saying used in your culture) it means a blind alley.
You may want to take a good look into your ileocecal valve. This causes all sorts of problem both digestive and pain related. It is a valve at the junction of the small and large intestines and if it is leaky can cause the uptake of toxins. It can also give a great deal of pain in the abdomen, the right side and above the navel. It is linked hormonally to the pyloric valve so if it is not functioning correctly it cause stomach problems. Peoples symptoms vary considerably but eating well on raw foods nuts and fibre tends to make it worse. One of its signature signs are dark rings under the eyes.
I am not a fan of antifungals for just the reason that you mentioned, they seem to put an overload on detoxifying organs like the liver, I have felt this in the past and no longer take antifungals to fight candida. I also would like to make a comment on your diet as you said in a previous post is mainly raw vegan. I understand the reasoning behind raw food diets but one thing that we don't understand in western holistic medicine is that the types of foods we eat affect our bodies in many ways. Ayerveda identifies that eating raw foods stimulates a cleansing effect on the body (that's why we feel so good when eating high amounts of raw food) it increases gastric juices and is beneficial in many ways but for many people, if you stick to this diet long term it can throw your body out of balance in many ways. I noticed this personally when trying to stick to raw food diets that initially it felt great, tons of energy, clear skin, etc, but long term it affected my energy and mood in an extremely negative way. It took me a while before I was ready to admit that the raw food diet didn't fit me. I have no doubt that certain people will do great on a raw food diet but others may have difficulty with it. So I just thought I would point this out for your consideration.
I wish everybody new how important this antioxidant is! If they seek before a fact as a little child, be prepared to give up every preconceived notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abysses nature leads.
The one thing that is necessary for the integrity of the liver is Glutathione, if glutathione is not present within the liver than the cell of the liver cannot fight off the attackers. This one food is extremely necessary. It is a endogenous antioxidant, it's the only one your body makes own it's own.
