BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- An Israeli border police officer kicked a Palestinian child lying on the ground in central Hebron, according to footage released by Israeli rights group B'Tselem on Monday.
A B'Tselem spokeswoman said the group would file a complaint with the Israeli army and police over the incident on Friday.
The footage, shot by a B'Tselem volunteer near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron's Old City, shows 9-year-old Abdul-Rahman Burqan being grabbed by a border police official, and crying on the ground.
Another police officer arrives at the scene and kicks him while he remains in the policeman's grip, the video shows.
In November 2011, another B'Tselem volunteer filmed a border policeman c**k his weapon and aim it at 13 year-old Muhannad al-Bakri in the same area of Hebron.
The group says that "both the army and the Border Police have yet to make it unequivocally clear to security forces serving in the Occupied Territories that it is absolutely forbidden to abuse and beat Palestinians."
Further, "many instances of abuse are not exposed because they have become the norm, and, for Palestinians, filing complaints is very time consuming," B'Tselem says.
do something about it. posting videos about it in the comfort of your home a world away is shameful and selfish if you do nothing about it because it then is about you. not the victims.
oh, i have done plenty about it. i show this video to folks here in the states so that when it is happening on their street corner they will know exactly where it came from.
done plenty? that response defines the meaning of hot tub liberal. which is about how many people you reach through posting a video or telling your hot tub partners. few if that.
the internet is convenient to make one think they are making a difference. when they are not. except in their own mind.
wrong answer.
of courser its nasty. i hate what i saw.
the internet has also created a culture of hot tub liberals on steroids. as your newport puppy lap dog would say Now Move Along Nothing For You Here. add some photo shopped sarcasm and you all will have spent 5 seconds being in rage and then move on to the next youtube. very convenient.
the internet give the power to sit at home and be in raged and do nothing at the same time. i hate that more.

The Gaza Strip was besieged by airstrikes from the Israeli military once again Monday morning. Conflicting reports from Israeli and Palestinians sources leave the total number killed or injured unknown.
Hadeel Haddad (2) was one of the first children killed in the latest round of Israeli attacks in Gaza
The densely populated Gaza Strip witnessed yet another day of airstrikes and bombings from the Israeli military and air force on Monday. Israeli military sources report that the attacks were launched against Palestinian militants known to be in a neighborhood south of Gaza City.
Ma’an News Agency initially reported that no Palestinian civilians were injured in the attack, though it had nothing to report on whether or not alleged militants had been killed or injured. Other reports from the Palestine News Network reveal that an unconfirmed number of civilians were harmed in the early morning air raid.
Israeli military sources have claimed that the airstrikes were a success but it has not released the names of its targets. As is often the case the Israeli military claims that all victims of its attacks are militants – either including women, children and other non-participants as so-called ‘militants’ or ignoring them entirely.
Regardless of who was targeted, and for what reason, the grim reality on the ground is that dozens of Palestinians have been killed or injured by Israeli attacks in the past three weeks. Many of these casualties are undoubtedly women, children, and other civilians. The youngest, two-year old Hadeel Haddad, was killed during the evening of June 19.
Other children and teenagers have also been confirmed killed during weeks of intermittent bombings.
The Israeli military claims that it is carrying out attacks on Qassam rocket brigades who have fired homemade rockets into Israel during the same period. Both sides claim that the other struck first, but Hamas authorities in Gaza did put a ceasefire on the table before it was summarily rejected by Israel.
Israeli forces have criticized Palestinian militants in the past for hiding amongst civilians and using them as ‘human shields’. The military charged that such actions amount to war crimes on the part of the Qassam brigades. The known presence of these civilians has never stopped Israel from launching attacks on population centers leaving the Palestinians as ‘collateral damage’.
