an example. My back was hurting so hubbie tried to crunch me. Crunch he did, bad angle, too hard, who knows. Anyway, now I have inflammation of the ...chest wall(on one side). Hurts when I breathe. Pounding turmeric, deep breathing and just being careful, generally.
He is SO fired.
Even more dangerous than self-treating is going to the doctor. Lookee what she prescribed:
Ouch. I have a pinched nerve, which sucks, and I've been scoping out the local chiropractors to see if I can find one that won't make it worse. In the mean time, in addition to tumeric, try rosemary tea- pick the stuff boil it for about ten minutes, and it does help, at least it helps me. Also, did you try painting the swollen area with iodine? (i realize I'm talking to the Iodine expert here, but sometimes when something hurts you forget to look under your nose don't clobber me for asking. I'm had good luck with it for swelling)

Don't feel bad, I've spent two weeks coaxing a rosemary plant to grow to the point that I could make tea, when I realized I have a big bush in the front yard. oh well, among other things, rosemary is good for your memory.

Oh dear. Could be that a rib is fractured. If you can get hold of some homeopathic Arnica (30c or so) that should help for the pain.
Have some black pepper and fat with that turmeric, to utilize it better.
Tried painting iodine? Did this on my ex once, when in terrible pain. It worked.
I posted this a few months back...prior to getting my test back about my Vit D status. Your post made me want to post it to you in case you hadn't seen it. Well worth the watch.
Also just noticed all the comments...don't know how I missed (edit...now I do/momma was passing) a lot of them. Now I must go read them :-)
the Iodine salve really helped- I'm still embarrassed that I did not reach for it immediately, we've had countless posts on iodine's pain-relieving properties. I had never used the salve for that, I used to use it for my FBD. What helped even more was going for a long walk this A.M. and stretching. And paying attention to my posture. And deep-breathing:)
I wish we were closer in the neighborhood so I could work on you.
what level in your back...low mid upper?
Any organ type symptoms in the past month or so?
digestive?, are you still bleeding? elimination
gas bloating color of stools
reaction to fat?
any big stressors before this started?
I am looking for clues....could help with treatment ideas
This is all mechanical, no gastrointestinal or other symptoms. My abs and core are weak due to laziness. I also need to work on my flexibility~!
My back has been really tight(as in, definitely less flexible than before) for a while, I used to be able to crunch myself- so, I have been hooping to try to loosen myself up- and loosen myself up I have, now when I stretch or turn a certain way I can hear vertebrae pop~ So, my back has gotten looser, and now I see that my core and abs are weak.
No bleeding, no surface bruising. I've been doing deep breathing, watching my posture, turmeric and Iodine salve. I'm much improved.
My major stressor in life is that I don't have enough fun! I am a very responsible person and was raised with the ideal of "work before pleasure". Well, that's all fine and good, but... work never ends.
My recent trip to Mexico really highlighted this lack in my life.
TY. I wish you were here, too:) I do have an excellent chiro that I see once in a while. Might give him a call.
