I was feeling absolutely fantastic, despite my sky high copper. I was getting to sleep about 2 minutes after my head hit the pillow, sleeping right through the night, and waking up after 6 or 7 hours completely refreshed.
I should have known better, but I played tennis 4 times, in 27C (80F) weather with direct sunshine. About 1.5 hrs each time.
I felt great while doing it. No muscle cramps, not winded, etc. However, I am starting to have a hard time going to sleep, waking up in the middle of the night and having a hard time lifting my head off the pillow in the morning. And I sort of have the flu like feeling again.
It will pass, I was just getting a bit ahead of myself.
I’m going to switch over to one of the Nutritional Balancing practitioners the Larry Wilson recommends. She makes you sign a wellness contract , one of the items is “I will not partake in aerobic exercise while healing”
It makes sense. My system needs all the energy it has to remove copper and other metals.
Thanks for posting this! I did not know that were were supposed to dramatically reduce our exercise. I do go for a run once or twice a week but have cut it back to 3 miles instead of 4, and sometimes skip altogether, trying to listen to my body. But I also have flu-like body pain symptoms that I've never had before and bad migraine headache pain. It feels like I'm moving toxic copper or manganese from my brain? It all started about a week ago when I started taking more Sea Salt and supplementing with chromium after reading this acuCell.com information about copper:
=======================================================
"The correct approach consists of making copper (or calcium) more bioavailable by supplementing the proper
co-factors, with the best choice being those whose levels are lowest ratio-wise to copper - and as mentioned
above - may include Vitamin C, chromium, sulfur (MSM), molybdenum, nickel, or (rarely) zinc. The avoidance
of foods high in copper is important as well.
This will take care of the medical conditions a practitioner was originally consulted for, and at the same time
prevents the potential development of new medical problems elsewhere related to excessive copper intake.
Chromium is a first choice remedy to help normalize elevated copper, since it is its associated trace element.
Many aches and pains, arthritis, slow-healing fractures, sciatica and other back problems, various infections,
etc, can be relieved with chelated chromium (not GTF chromium), provided:
a) they conform to the left side-specific receptor requirements, b) provided that calcium and magnesium
are close to normal, since they are also involved with various disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and
c) provided that potassium levels are not below normal, since chromium is a potent potassium antagonist.
Following a close second is Sulfur, usually supplemented in the form of MSM, whose main action in addition
to helping restore cartilage formation is the lowering of copper! So again, it is the high copper levels which
created a need for sulfur to help reverse joint degeneration. Originally, glucosamine sulfate (another copper-
lowering sulfur compound) had been the non-drug treatment of choice for joint problems, however its blood
sugar raising potential has considerably reduced its popularity in individuals with blood sugar disturbances
(e.g. diabetes), so MSM has become the preferred choice instead."

I have not felt this weird since I detoxed for mercury or aluminum, so I don't know what to think and how to stop the migraines. Vitamin C seems to help some.
I made some really big mistakes by actually supplementing with copper on and off for several years to balance with my Zinc. I did not realize my huge mistake until I had flipped into adrenal fatigue, got severe constipation and felt almost psychotic! (no I have not had any testing done).
I am using molybdenum, R-Lipoic Acid, MSM, sustained release N-A-C. If this sounds like copper detox can someone please let me know? I've taken all these supps, before except for the chromium. I have stopped taking the chromium yesterday but still have the bad effects. Probably shows how toxic I am. Sorry for the long message and for tagging onto yours!
No problem....you're wound up like a typical copper person :)
Actually, I am just about to start working with one of Larry Wilson recommended practitioners.
She is kind of like the "soup nazi" from Seinfeld, only for NB. She makes you sign a wellness contract, one of the items includes:
"
I promise to abstain from aerobic exercise (such as stair climbing, running, rowing or any activity where my
heart rate is up for more than 2-3 minutes at a time). If I participate in any type of exercise, it will be
anaerobic such as deep breathing, yoga, tai chi, very light walking for 30 minutes (every other day) or the like. "
I keep a pretty detailed log book. Both last year and this year, after playing tennis a few times, I started to crash.
It is robbing energy needed for healing and removing metals.
I know copper does raise estrogen levels and in turn estrogen fluctuations give you migraines. Since I have been detoxing copper I can feel a migraine coming on hours after I have eaten chocolate, a high copper food. I know a big no no but I wanted to see where I stood with my detox. I wonder if your body is releasing copper into you blood stream and then in turn raising estrogen. You might want to try something that absorbs the copper like Bentonite or charcoal. Do it separate from your supplements. It will also help the metals from damaging your liver and kidneys on their way out. I take Proessence a progesterone based essential oil to keep my estrogen in check.
Thanks for the interesting information! I think manganese also can raise estrogen. I did not think high estrogen would be a problem for me as I am 54 and in menopause, but I may start using progesterone again (I have sublingual Progesterone Oil drops that are supposed to be very effective but I get lazy remembering to take it, but usually do sleep better when I take it before bedtime).
I used Bentonite clay for a very long time and finally stopped about a year ago. I wanted to stop because I believe it can feed your biofilms plus pull your good probiotics out. It was also very drying and I have very sensitive mucous membranes, so my favorite fibers are ground chia seeds or acacia fiber or using oat bran. I also think it's good to stay away from bentonite if you have more of a tendancy toward constipation, as I do since the copper overload.
Since this morning, I decided to start back up on MODIFILAN, a brown seaweed extract, as I still have about 1/2 a bottle left. I noticed on their web site they also now list copper as being a heavy metal that it can chelate!
"Alginate binds to all heavy metals including lead, mercury, cadmium, cobalt, copper and radium"
I've used it before and really liked it for removing mercury after I had my Amalgams removed. I'm praying that Modifilan will be the answer to our prayers! It has many other health benefits and should be good for my struggling digestive tract.
Well crap that sucks! I was wondering how much I could excercise. I started walking last week. Going to work up to doing kettlebell again. So you did 4 days in a row? Also was it in the morning or late afternoon?
Feo- Thanks for the reminder. I really miss excercise. I have been able to go for a gentle 40 min walk about twice per week. If I try and do more I crash.
All the best with the NB. Sounds like you have a good practitioner to work with.
I am really into going barefoot at the beach and in my backyard. I just came back from a 10 day camping trip. I felt really well sleeping under tall pines and breathing in all of that oxygen rich air. We also went to bed early and got up at sunrise. It was so wonderful. I am also a firm believer in sunbathing as much as possible.
I am in Canada so I try and take advantage of getting to the lake as much as possible during our short summer season. I have always craved the sun, sand and swimming in cold clean lakes.
Feo and I are both Canadians so you don't need to tell us about the short seasons. (Actually we've met up before, it was fun.)
FEO: are you sure that this is adrenal fatigue per se? Maybe it's one of the knock on effects. I can workout for sure, but it's the energy in my cells, not my adrenal glands, that are the main limiter now.
If I am fairly low carb or using niacin at night and small doses of chromium with meals (esp. with high carb meals), then I can workout consistently.
I can tell when I'm tired, and I can tell when I should back off working out now too -- generally after a stressful week, with poor eating, I am more tapped adrenally, but aside from that I can workout now no problem as long as i eat well and use those blood sugar balancing supplements to get energy into my system.
Maybe this is where our healing parts company as the initial causes were different, but do me a favour and think about it.
Whatever the exact mechanism is, I'm not sure. It is starting to pass now.
But I think the aggressive exercise is still too stimulating for me. After a couple of times playing tennis, I started to get insomnia again, waking up tired, having a hard time getting up and feeling kind of "crashy" in the afternoon.
In less than a week, I seem to be back to normal. Slept great last night and felt refreshed after 6.5 hrs sleep. So I am bouncing back quicker.
The one I am just starting to work with on the Larry Wilson program makes you promise no aerobic exercise while healing.
It just takes too much energy. And it robs you of the energy you need to heal and get rid of metals that accumulated during years of chronic stress.
And that is sort of what seemed to happen to me. The 1st time I play tennis...no problem (other than very sore the next day). But after a few times on the tennis court (in 30C weather), I started to feel drained.
Too bad...cause I'm hitting the ball more consistently than I ever have ;(
Maybe next year.
There are people here who can't work or even go shopping, so I'm not going to feel too bad about myself.
Feo when you feel this way do you have a sore throat also and maybe stuffed nose? Are there parts of your body that are still asleep/numb when you wake up or do you have marks on your body like you slept really hard?
Also, has your body temperature felt warmer than usual for no reason or had hot flashes? Do you feel a throbbing/pulsing feeling almost like you can feel your heartbeat in different areas of your body especially your belly?
For me, limbs falling asleep and going numb was totally a lack of vitamin B-12. Once I started regularly using a methylated B-12 sublingual vitamin every day that sensation totally vanished, but will come back if I stop the B12.
I do own an Earthing bed pad and sleep on it every night. I ordered it from Ann Louise Gittleman 's unikeyhealth.com website. I do like it and think it helps for electro-pollution, but it won't help to eliminate heavy metals, at least I have not noticed it help with that. I've had it for about 2 years. If you use wifi in your house, it would really be helpful. We don't have wifi because I've begged my husband not to get it; we have straight cable connections and our phone in our bedroom is a wired (not cordless) phone to avoid all of that electro-pollution near our bed. Sorry, I just noticed your posting from 10 days ago about your water pipes being high in magnetic frequencies? I did not know that water pipes could do that, I don't have the Zapped book. Now I know why you're so interested in the Earthing products, they probably would really help you! I love Ann Louise Gittleman's books too!
