Thnx for the post - do you know how you go about working on your sodium potassium ratio/ what you can do to adjust it? I have an inversion, but both supplements are above normal ranges so I didn't want to just load up on sodium.
I was few months on v. low sodium and way too much potassium, calcium, magnesium - no stomach acid, loss of appetite, waight loss, anorexia, candida grow, depression, more.
1000mg calcium - more decrease stomach acid.
400-450mg magnessium no more.
Potassium now about 4500mg so perfect, and i have those dose 1,5 year, now too.
I/We need 9 grams of sodium (i eat 1 teaspoon of salt before -way to little)!! Range from 3 teaspoon up to 6 teaspoons. Now i have 3-4(+ 1 teaspoon in food) teaspoons of salt so aver all 4-5 teaspoon of salt.
Our body is one big buffer - so range for sodium/chloride is 1,4:1 - 3,4:1 .
4:1 for sweating, active people, but 3:1 also could be good.
If You are non active (cure candida for example) you could be 1:1 for sodium/potassium, but in the long run this could be dangerous specially for ex candida sufferers. 1,5-2:1 for non active and 2,5-3:1 for 20 miles runners should be safe.
We could stay ~2:1 daily after "heal" candida - not in every meal like now.
Candida people not even imagine how important sodium/potassium balance is like me 2-3 months ago.
Pokermaniac,
My hair analysis showed my sodium is 8.0 and potassium is 1.0
ratio is 8.0
This is terrible isn't it?
What would you do in this case. I don't know if i have candida or not.

I apologize, I can't really understand what you're saying, but sodium/potassium ratio is what most people on the Adrenal Fatigue board is focusing on. Balancing these out helps to balance your whole body, therefore helping your body naturally combat Candida. So I think you're on the right track with your theory.
Lily - Yes, sodium/potassium levels are first step in any diet, i mean should be !
On low carb diets, we should have a little higher sodium to potassium (but little - half teaspoon per day). Anyway sodium to potassium ratio should be between 1:1 - 3,4:1 - this is largest range (sorry my bed eng).
SAFEST ratio is 1,5:1 up to 2:1 for sodium - for low active people and for high active too, but if you change activity you should change ratio - its simple - half up to one teaspoon of salt additionally to existing diet.
Ratio 1:1 mean you eat one small teaspoon salt plus 4 eggs and tuna 100g = 2,3 sodium + 700mg sodium + 450mg sodium and you eat 1,5 kilo of broccoli, parsley, souerkraut, cabbage, letuce and eggs have potassium too. 100g of cooked broccoli have 350 mg of potassium so COUNT YOUR RATIO and heal candida/cancer/other fast.
lalobear - 25% gray ? Yes, i have some gray few months ago, they turn back in oryginal color, but not 100% yet, but direction is great. Heal candida and reverse your gray: http://www.stophairlossnow.co.uk/Vitamins.htm
Thanks pokermaniac,
That is all very interesting! I will try to apply what you said. I am very grateful for all the knowledge people like you are sharing on this forum. For me all the pieces are coming together.
