I am 19 years old and am very fit. I've always been athletic, but the past year I have been very busy and wasn't able to continue my runnings/tennis/etc.
Last month, I started having headaches (mainly tension headaches) and my neck and shoulders started hurting and being stiff. The doctor thought nothing of it.
2 weeks ago I started burping like crazy. That stopped after a week, but i had a feeling of having a lump in my throat. The doctors said i had acid reflux and gave me a diet to eat to heal my esophagus.
The only problem I have with all this though, is that I've always eaten good foods and almost never eat sugars or fast foods. I've never once had a problem with excessive burping or acid, even after eating large amounts of spicy foods or citrus foods. This was just completely sudden and unexplained.
After research, I have started to wonder if I had candida overgrowth. I had acne throughout middle and high school and still have a few bumps in college but they're pretty much unnoticable. I took antibiotics for the acne almost every day for a couple years (before I found out how bad they were). I've had sinus and allergy problems my whole life, and was diagnosed with sinusitis last week when i was diagnosed with reflux.
I just refuse to believe that at 19, 120 pounds, and a good eater, I could suddenly get acid reflux for no reason at all. I haven't noticed any heartburn or any trigger foods. I have, however, noticed some chest tightness, but I'm pretty sure that's related to my shoulders and neck being tight.
I tried a spit test this morning and it appeared to be positive, but I know that that's very very unreliable. ANyone have an opinion or other ideas?
how tall are you? like you i am really skinny and EAT! you have parasites the same as me, plain and simple. probably the parasites are making your liver screwed up as a result.
Not to take away what was already said to you but if you've had sinus problems your whole life it's possible. Also you said the test was positive. I'm no expert but I've had to take Primrose oil and Omega 3 in the past for Canidia.I had problems with sugar in the past, it doesn't matter how tall or how old you are when it comes to canidia. it depends on your diet. They do have a forum here for Canidia. Lots of people get lots of info talking with people there who are very knowledeable about this subject.
